Hotel Boston

The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center, which is a big plus. Breakfast had a good variety, so everyone can find something to their taste. However, the so-called deluxe room felt more like a standard one: the view was unimpressive, and the design was quite simple, not meeting expectations for a “deluxe” category.

The hotel is centrally located, a bit up to the hill. Clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. Good breakfast. Staff members, especially the young lady at reception, are friendly, polite and professional. The reception front desk closes at 6 pm. If you checking in later, you have to contact the property well in advance. Unfortunately,I didn't, and had to make around 40 calls on 3 different numbers provided. They answered only after 50 minutes of waiting. This was really annoying, just because I was tired after the trip, hungry and desperately needed to use the toilet.( Sorry for the details). After my calls answered, I got the access code and my keys. Easy. The hotel is situated in the quiet area, unfortunately, some customers at the hotel made a big noise in the middle of the night:at 3 pm, loudly kicking in the neighbours door, trying to get in, for a very long 40 mins... I had to get out and prevent it,if they did not stop, I'll call the police. I definitely had bad luck with this stay, it's not at all the hotel's fault, just my poor experience:( .

Wonderful experience! Lovely hotel next to the area of restaurants in Karlovy Vary and, what is most important: I finally found a smile in Czech Republic after several days in Prague! Old hotel, very worn out! Towels have bad smell and bed sheets have holes. Towels are changed only once in 3 days. Very limited breakfast. Location is not the best - you need to go through a tiny backstreet, pass through a trash can to get there, View from the window is not good. Good things: the lady at the reception was friendly, but that is about it

Steer clear- cleaners steal from luggage! We had a very average stay here and despite the rude receptionist everything was ok. The cleaners attended the room but hardly did anything expect take out the bin, our beds were not made and nothing else was cleaned. We thought this was strange but thought nothing of it. The following evening after we had checked out we realised that the majority our of holiday cash was missing from our suitcase. This cash was within a folder between personal documents, underneath several layers of clothes so it couldn't have been easy to find. Sadly we only found out after leaving karlovy vary. It took us two days to reach the hotel owner (we sent an email that they apparently didn't get, and was 'unavailable' every day we rang) we ended up in what was almost a shouting match which ended with him hanging up the phone. He didn't even apologise and offer any investigation. We tried reporting it to the police but they were completely uninterested. Such an awful experience, the whole incident soured the rest of our holiday.

A very nice hotel, nice, quiet and warm room, gentle staff, close to the main attractions. Very good breakfast with eggs, omlette, sausages, salami, cheese, cookies, coffee, tea, fruits. No kettle in the room but you can ask for hot water to make a tea. Close to Diana watch tower with an amazing view, about half an hour walk in the forest. I had a very nice stay and I warmly recommend this hotel, very good value.

The Hotel Boston is a lovely little budget hotel tucked right behind the main street (and river) in Karlovy Vary. It was a little tricky to find (even using GPS) but we made it and the staff were very kind. There is a walkway between the hotel and the hot springs / collonnade (for drinking not soaking). The pathway has stairs and graffiti but is easy to use/locate. We especially loved that the hotel backed into the natural areas above Karlovy Vary, which made hiking easily accessible. Our room did not come with breakfast included, but we were able to pay a little extra (6 euros for adults 4 euros for kids) and enjoyed a lovely buffet style breakfast in a common dining area downstairs. The hotel does have an elevator but it stops between floors, so stairs are unavoidable (not an issue for us so much but I imagine this would be problematic for certain guests). Also, the parking area was an additional $12 euros each night and a VERY tight fit to get to. Our rental beeped at us relentlessly getting down the narrow lane haha.

Very good location and clean but small rooms and small place to have breakfast. Private parking (for extra charge). Very good price/value.
