Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden

When we arrived at Hotel Botanico we were welcomed in a super nice way by the staff. The porter that accompanied us in the room was super nice by giving us very useful information which he did with passion. Smooth check in and check out. The room was an antique style, well kept and elegant. The bathroom was large with a bath and a separate shower. Good size balcony, we had a view over Teide. In the room we had a coffee station a safe etc. The breakfast was very nice. Nice Gardens and pool areas with a heated swimming pool. Some sunbeds waterproof surface were a bit damaged so they absorbed water and when you will lie down you will get wet from it, we hope they will pay more attention to that. There are two swimming pool available. We stayed at the hotel only one night and did not use all amenities however we really enjoyed our short stay. (visited January 2025)

Concierge took luggage on arrival and valet parked the car. Fast check in to our Spanish garden view room. The room was a decent size the balcony looked over the spa pool, skyline seaview and the mountains. Appreciated the nightly turndown service and Lindy chocolate. Great breakfast | Nice Spa and pool, separate from the standard pool. We had soft dressing gowns and slippers. |All the staff were friendly and helpful. |The shuttle bus was useful although not frequent. The gardens are lovely, very tropical.Overall a great hotel and we hope to stay again if the price is right

A superb hotel. From the moment you enter their stunning entrance hall you are treated to excellent service, fabulous food and tranquil surroundings. |We were half board and really enjoyed the evening meals particularly the Oriental. All restaurants are very good but I found La Parella a but limited if you didn’t want to eat meat. |We spent quite a bit of time in the bar and were treated to a 5 star service from the excellent staff, in particular Ahmed, Marcos and Phillip. |Facilities were excellent, lovely gardens and the spa was superb. The room was great and the domestic staff were top notch. |We will definitely return!

Fantastic hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Made the most of the main very large pool and the spa. Such a lot of choice for breakfast. Nice to come back in the evening after a meal out and go to the bar where there is always a bit of entertainment on then go up to bed where the rooms have been turned down for you. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept exceptionally clean.

Can understand why hotel is rated so highly. From arrival to departure the staff are excellent. |The hotel is full of surprises both inside and out |The gardens and pool area are stunning|During stay the hotel was hit by heavy winds and caused some damage. Had a room overlooking the pool and watching the staff cleaning up was an amazing experience. The lifeguard diving to the bottom of pool to clear debris. The cleaning robot clearing base of pol, and the staff generally clearing up debris all over the gardens. They did an amazing job to restore hotel for the Christmas arrivals

Having recently gone through a family bereavement this was my first holiday as a solo traveler. From the moment of arrival to departure my stay was flawless, the courtesy and respect from all the staff was indeed exceptional. As I needed some quite time to reflect and recharge Hotel Botanico proved the perfect location. My sea view room was perfectly maintained and serviced. The location of the hotel is ideal and the shuttle bus service excellent. Breakfast service was amazing and to see the manager keeping a finger on the pulse was most impressive. The gardens and the entire hotel is maintained beyond exception. The art installations throughout the hotel add greatly to the tranquility of the place and the jellyfish add a most relaxing feel !!! The restaurants in the hotel provide wonderful service and value for money and across the road you can find some wonderful tapas options and a very good Italian restaurant with a great family atmosphere. Concierge service was also exceptional and organised a wonderful day tour and helped with flight arrangements. I look forward to returning to this hotel that offers a high standard of service that is indeed worthy of Leading Hotel Status.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel & The Oriental Spa Garden and had the most amazing experience. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were absolutely amazing the entire time. When we arrived, the front desk staff were very helpful and Antonio (I believe was his name) showed us to our room. Once in the room, he explained several things about the room which was a great way to familiarize ourselves with the space we would call home for the next few days. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional our entire stay. We were able to call and easily get an iron, taxi etc. The attention to detail in the room was superb. We especially enjoyed the pillow menu options and turn down service. The breakfast was outstanding and a lovely way to start the day. We utilized the spa area with a couples massage and played tennis. I love fresh flowers and the fresh rose in the bathroom was a wonderful touch. We dined at The Oriental and II Pappagallo which were both delicious. The live music each night was a fun treat for a wind down at the end of the evening. Hotel Botanico is a true Luxury Hotel and I thank the entire staff for making our trip to Tenerife so wonderful.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were incredible and so helpful and welcoming, and the food we had for breakfast and in the Mandarin Oriental was superb. The facilities were very great at the spa and the pools and we also enjoyed the golf putting green. The room was also beautifully clean and well serviced and had generous proportions too.||The only suggested improvement is that the gym is open longer hours so is open earlier in the morning.

This is one of the very best places I've stayed at! The service here is extraordinary, and the staff go out of their way to make your stay special. I can't possibly explain all they have to offer, but I would encourage anyone to visit their website for a more thorough list. If you are looking for a special place to take that special someone, this is it! Here are some of the highlights from our stay: Getting here is super easy to do, from private car, taxi, or bus. We arrived on the island and took the 343 bus from the airport (TFN). The bus was super clean and reasonably priced (less than 10€ for two!). When we arrived, check-in was easy. They gave us fresh juice and were given a quick tour of the main dining areas and spa. Then, they showed us to our room and gave us a rundown of how things operated (light switches, mini-bar, TV, safe). Our room was fully stocked with everything imaginable. They even had slippers and oversized robes for guests to use for the spa. The grounds are a work of art (see pictures). Peaceful walkways, pools, fountains, flowers, wild birds and butterflies abound. This seems like an oasis within the busy tourist area of the Puerto de la Cruz. There is a poolside restaurant with waiters to tend to your every need. For restaurants, they have three main offerings: The Oriental is their top dining selection, offering exquisite Thai cuisine (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Other dinner options include La Parrilla as their Spanish restaurant and Il Pappagallo for traditional Italian fare. For breakfast and lunch, their main floor restaurant and poolside area offer an incredible buffet and special order items. My wife and I were only disappointed that we weren't staying more days! The spa is what truly makes this hotel a premier destination. There are special pools, exercise rooms, yoga and Thai chi rooms, saunas (many types - Turkish, Japanese), jacuzzi tubs, an ice room, water beds, and other items to help one relax and rejuvenate. My wife and I did the 'Experience for two' in their Private Dragon spa bath. This was a special treat for two and a half hours, and felt great after climbing up/down Gibraltar and wandering Sevilla with bags of stuff. There are sports courts here as well, but since I'm not a sports guy, I'll leave that to others to review. The staff here are great, and they will help you book reservations at local restaurants in advance if you want to venture out. They also have a courtesy bus that takes guests up/down the hillside regularly throughout the day, so you don't have to hike up and down from the hotel. If the bus doesn't work, they always have taxis standing by to wisk you away to wherever you want to go. I would highly recommend Hotel Botanico for anyone who wants to get away from the routine and spoil themselves for awhile.
