Slice of heaven right in the heart of Paris! This hotel is perfect in so many ways. Responsive and helpful staff. Amazing location. Nicely appointed and super cozy rooms.
Bourg Tibourg is named for the street it sits on. The street has a perfume maker who has been in business for 40 years and a tea shop that opened in the 1800's. That says something. The location is great for two reasons: 1. It's in a vibrant, but calm and quite, neighborhood. 2. It's SO close to wherever your explorations take you. I found it both convenient and practical, but also a really good local scene. It's hard to pull off both prime location and calm LOCAL neighborhood. Le Marais is all good things.
The rooms are spotless. They are meticulously clean and housekeeping is amazing. Hotel Bourg Tibourg is well loved. This is evident by all of the staff.
Back to location. Shopping and excellent food choices are at your doorstep. But the hotel location is also great to use as an operating base to access the rest of the city. Major attractions are within striking distance. As a female traveler going solo on this trip I also felt very safe at all times.
I stayed in room 56 and I think it was 100 percent perfect. If you have the option pay up for a Deluxe room, you won't regret it. My room had a nice tub, street view, a king bed or can be two twins. A gorgeous tiny patio with two chairs. It's on the street side of the building which even at the 5th floor you can hear city noise slightly. Very muffled, and honestly it didn't bother me at all. If you're sensitive go with a courtyard view.
I absolutely loved having a bathtub but I could see how some people might prefer just a shower. And the set up could be awkward. But the tub is amazing!
The room has everything you might need. And then some. They really seemed to have anticipated the essentials and what you might need to be comfortable. If you forgot something or are worried about anything the staff here will accommodate, and go above and beyond to make it perfect.
The elevator to reach the higher floors is tiny. Again, didn't bother me at all. If you're a big dude or easily claustrophobic this might be a problem. Fair warning. If concerned you could book a lower floor and use the stairs. Even the high floors it's easy to take the stairs. But I thought the elevator was fun.
I was able to check in super early on the day of my arrival. I'm sure this might not always be an option. But for me it was lifesaving and an incredibly helpful gesture.
Here is what the hotel is. Ridiculously charming, calm, romantic, discreet, warm, and inviting place. VERY PARISIAN vibes from top to bottom. If a French experience is what you're after you have found your spot.
Here's what it is not: big, commercial, sterile. 5 star in Champs-Elysee (but it's not trying to be that.)
I love this hotel and the neighborhood! Wish I could stay longer. Hope to be back soon!
