I loved the hotel. The location was in the heart of the old town and only 5 min walk from the beach. Room was stunning, clean and spacious. It had small balcony ovarlooking quiet street. Mini fridge was included in the price and filled up every day. Breakfast was also very good.

The location of this hotel is excellent, really central. And the hotel itself has old-world charm and is clean. The rooms are elevated basic (clean but nothing special beyond essentials and our air conditioner didn’t work very well). Sadly the front desk staff lacked warmth and felt unwelcoming (they didn’t greet us until we greeted them first). The price is fair, but the location is the main reason to stay here.

Amazing hotel! Fabulous location in Central Old Town opposite the Cathedral. ||Beautiful hallway and reception area and stairs! Smelt beautiful too! Reception staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. ||Loved our room, comfortable big bed, great bathroom and shower. ||Lovely little balcony where we sat and enjoyed a glass of wine after a busy day exploring Alicante! ||Couldn't find a fault to this beautiful unique hotel! ||Would highly recommend and definitely return.

Can't recommend this enough, the staff made it such a wonderful stay, they are so lovely and welcoming, so happy to help. We stayed during the national power cut, and they couldn't help enough, even though it was really difficult for everyone including them! Great location, building, loved the roof terrace, but really the staff are what make it so good. Great value too. If you are staying and love a good coffee, you must try the Madness specialty coffee house just next door - best coffee I've had in a long time!

From the moment I entered this sympathetically restored and beautifully decorated hotel, I felt at home. This is not easy to achieve as a solo traveller but the warm welcome and initial impression of my room dispelled any concerns. Nice touches such as the complimentary toiletries, water and soft drinks were appreciated. I had booked included breakfast and it was quality; locally sourced with delicious organic coffee which set me up for the day. The two women who were serving were so friendly and kind, thank you. The hotel also had a roof terrace and due to the perfect location had great views of the old town. Adjacent to the cathedral, it is only 5 minutes from the airport bus stop. Perfect.

First impressions count, and unfortunately this wasn’t a warm welcome. When we walked in, it felt like we had to say “um, excuse me, we have a booking” before anyone noticed us. No “welcome,” no “have you been here before,” no offer of a map or local tips — it all came across as unfriendly. The rooms themselves were spacious, which was a plus, but overall the experience was just average. The hotel feels like it isn’t loved or cared for the way it could be.

Super location in the old town, next to, but not too disturbed by bars and restaurants. We were there during the Easter festival, which was noisy, but amazing, with all the bands, parades and the incredible floats with images of Christ and the Virgin Mary. Our rooms were on the top floor and the huge stairwell means you need a head for heights. The rooms were large, kept spotless and "boutique". Staff were helpful and friendly. There is a lovely continental breakfast available downstairs, and a roof top seating area where you can have a drink purchased from reception. Highly recommended.

We were last at this hotel pre-Covid, and really enjoyed our stay. However, on this visit we noticed that standards had dropped. The room looked in need of some upgrades. Bedding torn, towels thin, couldn’t drain the water in the sink. Small things, but they all added up. Most disappointing thing was the breakfast, which was a standard tray, same(ish) every day. Okay if you liked scrambled eggs, and a plate of cheese and meats, but for what we paid, we would have expected a choice.
