The desk clerk was superior in every regard. Answered all our questions about the area and made sure we were comfortably situated in our room. Provided a delicious breakfast . Very professional and efficient. He made our stay very enjoyable. Would highly recommend the desk clerk and this hotel as the place to stay in Zafra.

A unique opportunity so stay in a renovated palace. The hotel is still going through some modifications but it is very clean and comfortable. Located near the center of town so within walking distance of historical sites.

An extraordinary hotel, the most delightful it has been our pleasure to visit. Not for you if you want flunkies to polish shoes but yes if you want elegance and beauty. This is the former late XIXC town house of a Spanish grandee with a classic square design with an open centre and the few rooms off the landings above. Beautiful views of the small town of Zafra from the roof terrace. There were only ever one or two staff in the hotel during our February visit. All of the three reception staff we met were extremely good, pleasant with quite adequate English and helpful on arrival directing us to a parking space available nearby. There were no staff at night but the sister hotel is manned - or indeed womanned - and we were able to contact it easily with the number provided. Breakfast was good but the choice is obviously less than at a much bigger hotel.||The glory is however in the decor which delivers the sumptuous ambience. The rooms (we were in 203 {I think} but I there can only be about 12 in total in the hotel) are quite beautiful with period furnishings and painted ceilings. On our floor there is also a lovely sitting room exquisitely furnished.

This stunning old palacio is gorgeous. Our room on the first floor was enormous and the bathroom was bigger than most hotel bedrooms! Very comfortable! Breakfast was OK, with a very helpful waitress and an adequate selection of fruit and breads. The town has no tourist sights but is very fine architecturally and worth a wander.

Walking into our room was a jaw dropping experience - high ceilings, antiques and amazing décor, with an incredible bathroom. The hotel is within minutes of the old part of town and was very comfortable - both in the bedroom and in the adjoining large communal sitting room. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and contributed to our feeling that we were guests in a grand house rather than a hotel. On the down-side, breakfasts were basic and our room was beginning to appear a little jaded.

The hotel is down side streets/one way streets but the Sat nav found it ok. Well worth the visit. A very pleasant place to stay. Great bedroom, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. Street parking available but for a few euros garage parked at nearby sister hotel.

This a beautiful hotel with lovely decor and very kind understanding staff. The room was beautiful as were the common areas of the hotel. Very conveniently located in town. The courtyard in the hotel is relaxing, and delightful. If we are ever back in Zafra I would consider staying at this hotel again.

The building itself & the lovely old traditional rooms are the highlight of this hotel rather than it's food or facilities. Set in a small street (with very limited parking!) close to the centre of Zafra the hotel is fashioned out of a small old Palacio. Our room, on the ground floor was large & comfortable at thsi time of year (Oct) although not sure what it would be like in the middle of summer! Downside was that it was right on the street & we did get woken rather early by passers by. There is a private car park some 200m away in their sister hotel which is not ideal but at least it was safe. Sensible price but the usual rubbish Spanish hotel (buffet) breakfast which is probably best missed, just pop out to one of the nice cafes in the main square!
