Hotel Boutique Casa Don Gustavo

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Casa Don Gustavo. Everything worked perfectly, from check in to check out. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel premises are very nice, though restaurant and greenery could be improved. The room was spacey and immaculately clean. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. Highly recommended!

My suite at the hotel was very nice- a large bedroom and bathroom with lots of characterful furniture and storage space. Likewise, the rest of the hotel is very pretty with lots of character and green plants around. Breakfast was generous and delicious as you could order à la carte along with fruits and bread/cake basket. I was full so got a breakfast sandwich which I had to get wrapped to take away with me for the train. The hotel’s location is excellent, only around the corner from the main square and right in the centre of the old walled city. Tons of restaurants and bars nearby. ||Disadvantages: that particular room has a window onto the stairs leading down to the courtyard and a second window and the door open onto the courtyard itself where the kitchen and breakfast are. Therefore I could hear staff at just past 6 am starting to get breakfast ready and chatting quite loudly with the courtyard acoustics amplifying it. At 8 am the music started…

Lovely and quaint hotel located minutes from the town square and close to all the restaurants and historic places. Although a very small city the hotel is like a historic villa with colonial style period features. Nice place, however basic room and breakfast only, no frills and other services or entertainment.

Great 1 night stay - we had 2 lovely large rooms with lovely room furniture and facilities. Central location with very easy walking to the sights of Campeche and the many restaurants close by. The hotel has access to a car park close by where our hire car was parked up overnight. The rooms had a lovely courtyard view and lots of quiet areas for sitting around the courtyard. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely with plenty of choices. The staff at the hotel were fabulous - very helpful, friendly and professional. I would certainly recommend this hotel and Campeche is a lovely city to explore.

Overall the experience was very pleasant. The building has a very attractive interior. The room was dark and dated with only two small bottled of water supplied. The bedroom lighting was very gloomy. The bathroom was acceptable and well supplied but our room had a cracked surround to the basin which was also chipped. The 'empty' fridge was very badly placed on the floor so you had to kneel or bend over to open it and the electrical cord was exposed. The breakfast was good but no other meals are offered in the hotel since Covid.

A very lovely hotel in Campeche, opening right out on to the main pedestrianized street in the old city, served as a perfect oasis as we explored the city. So, location is excellent. The service was good, the breakfast quite nice. The room was large with a big bathroom (dual vanity!). All in all a good stay. The cab driver had trouble finding the place as it didn't face a street he could drive on, but we got close enough.

Excellent location rooms are nice and it’s right in the best spot. Parking is not at the hotel but it is free. Check in was great and very personal.
