I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a group tour. The hotel is centrally located, but just far enough away from the main square that it's not too noisy at night. The building looks a little unassuming from the street, but once you get inside you're in a beautiful courtyard. You had to be buzzed in by someone on reception every time you entered, good for security but it got a bit annoying. There was good wifi throughout the hotel.||My room was on the 2nd floor, there were no lifts so I had to carry everything up. My room was huge and beautiful, keeping with the colonial style. This did mean that the floorboards were a bit creaky and some of the furniture looked antique, but don't let this detract as it was beautiful. It was all very clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was slightly on the small side, but it was very clean and had everything I needed. The shower was very modern and had consistent hot water and pressure (but no bathtub). I even had a small balcony which was a great touch.||I had breakfast on both mornings, and it was the weakest part of my stay. It was not located at the restaurant on the ground floor, but on a semi-patio on the 2nd floor. It was sort-of outside, but there was a large cover shielding from any rain, and patio heaters as it was a little cold. The setup wasn't ideal but I made do. The spread was ok but nothing special, some cold items and a few hot items.||Overall I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. If you want a hotel with beautiful rooms that's near the city centre but not right in it then I would recommend it.
