We have stayed at the hotel for two days during our holidays at Trujillo. It was absolutely perfect : the emplacement of the hotel is in the historic center of the town, bedrooms are quiet and very pretty. We ate at the restaurant, it was very delicious, special mention for the torrezno ! Thanks again to Rodrigo for his advices and his kindness, see you ! 😊

Very difficult to access in a car after a long journey, but the owner was very helpful, and, my, was it worth it. Right in the centre of the old city and a 2-minute walk from Plaza Meyor. Beautiful, old, simple interior. Lovely simply decorated room with stone floor and beams. Cool even without A/C. Such a pity the restaurant was closed due to lack of staff. However, there is tapas bar within a few metres so the hotel, and a highly rated restaurant (which is only open Thurs - Sun). The restaurants in Plaza Meyor are always open and inexpensive. It suited us very well.

This was one of the most unexpected and pleasant surprises of our recent vacation. An extremely well restored 600 year old house in the middle of the historic center of Trujillo. The owner and hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home while giving us lots of information about the history of the city and the hotel building itself. It was a very memorable experience and we only regret that we did not plan to spend more days there. We will be back.

I absolutely loved the stay! An extraordinarily palace where you feel the history, great rooms and service, definitely the most comfortable bed during this trip! Would love to come back in summer to enjoy the romantic patio at warm evenings.

We stayed for one night in this charming hotel. The interior is amazing, very well renovated and the rooms are full of personality and give you a unique feeling of sleeping inside a house that is a museum. It is located within the walls of the ancient city, so you have all the major sightseeing attractions very close by. On top of that, the owner is very friendly and helpful. He was very nice and pleasant and we really can’t say anything bad about this place. Highly recommended and we would stay here again without a doubt!

Wonderful experience and hospitality by the charming Alvaro. The building is about 500 years old if my crooked Spanish had not failed me, the view from the Argentina room overlooks the beautiful courtyard and the surrounding ancient structures and tower, the roof houses an adorable selection of well fed kittens and the inner garden is simply gorgeous. Alvaro is super friendly, it is evident that he loves what he does and made some very good recommendations for our trip ahead. Add that to an immaculately clean room and shower, good hot water pressure, comfy bed and free wifi - what more could anyone need?

We arrived at the front door of this lovely hotel after a long drive from the costa del sol on our way to get the ferry at Santander. Alvaro, who runs this hotel along with his brother, greeted us llike long lost friends and Wilbur our dog got an even better reception.! He directed us to where to park, close by, and we checked in smoothly. We were only there for one night. The building is over 500 years old and is full of character. Each room is named rather than numbered. We were in Cuba, with a lovely high ceiling and immaculate facilities. We were told that breakfast was available in the courtyard from 8.30am to "whenever we wished". Alvero gave us a map of the historic centre and we spent a couple of hours exploring this beautiful town. Well worth a visit and an easy stop on our journey north.||We had a lovely evening meal in a restaurant within twenty steps of the front door, and returned to a pleasant sleep in a comfy bed. The next morning we took the dog for an early walk and returned to a lovely continental breakfast. We were sad to leave and will definitely return if we do the same trip. We would highly recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Trujillo.

This Hotel was a great place for a good night’s rest after a lot of exhausting travel. The hotel was well located with easy walks to the town square, restaurants, and sites. The town of Trujillo was quiet and welcoming, a little off the beaten path from the more tourist areas we had visited and definitely a slower pace than that of Madrid. It’s a great place to stay and wander the streets. The breakfast was great with a variety of offerings but of course included some delicious bread, toasted, with olive oil and grated tomato. Yum!
