Went to Taxco for nephews wedding! Hotel and restaurant staff weee lovely! The receptionist at check in was unpleasant and rude. We arrived to the hotel on a rainy cold Thursday. All we needed was to go to our room take off our shoes after traveling for almost 12 hours. The receptionist said we couldn’t check in until 3pm. We travel and follow the rules but it was frustrating not having access to our room before 3pm since I knew it was ready and many rooms were empty due to cancellation from the hurricane. The receptionist was really displaying her authority and was not considerate of the customers needs. Half of the hotel was empty, we were part of the wedding party who made it despite the weather and we waited wet and cold from 11:30 to 3:00 on the dot to access our room all because a reception wanted to exude power. This really turned me and my family off and felt unwelcome to Pueblo Lindo.

Just spent two lovely nights in Taxco. The hotel was very cute, clean and comfortable. We had a junior suite and requested a view, which they were kindly able to accommodate. The views from our small balcony were incredible. The pool area was great and the restaurant at the hotel was excellent. A basic continental breakfast was included, but we opted to order additional dishes off the menu. The refrijoladas and sopes were both delicious. It is not a few minutes from the Zocalo, but the city is steep and hilly, so be prepared for that with sensible shoes. The service was friendly and helpful. It was also a perfect location for the Saturday silver Markey as if I’d equidistant from the bus station and main square/cathedral.

Great location, rooftop restaurant but expensive hotel||10 walk to town centre, rooms quite basic. Rooftop restaurant - food good & view wonderful.||*TERRIBLE* ‘breakfast included’ of ultra-processed, sliced white bread, butter & jam. Small bowl of chopped fruit or glass of jam. And…. we were made to - literally - PAY FOR EACH SPLASH OF MILK IN OUR BLACK COFFEE. 8 pesos per splash?!! Couldn’t believe it given that the hotel is cheap and the rest of the breakfast was so meagre. ||Don’t get your hopes up for the hotel ‘breakfast’!||There’s a nice place called El Atrio beside the CathedraL.

No Concern For Customer Safety. We have reservations for this hotel in early March. There is currently conflict between cartels which makes the city too dangerous to visit. The hotel refuses to cancel our reservation and refund our money. We were looking forward to our visit, but given the current conditions, we will be avoiding Taxco for now.

This is not an opinion, these are facts. Without a doubt this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, mainly because of the terrible attention and attitude of the staff. ||Although from the beginning in our reservation we paid for 4 people, they forced us to pay 2 more people and 2 taxes that they could not even explain or justify.||The room we paid for was with a city view and they didn't respect that either.||The manager and the receptionist didn't provide any solution and even spoke and joke in another language about us without knowing that we could understand them.||The "free" breakfast is very por and any extra they charge you for.||During my stay I saw a couple claiming an unfair extra charge for their room and a man they wanted to charge more for breakfast.||It seems that the staff is justo looking for ways to steal from customers.||The place is nice and well located but I would never go back because of the lousy attitude of the staff. For the price you can find 1000 better options.

Beautiful terrace with good drinks/ restaurant service . The pool is small to be enjoyed when the hotel is kind of crowed like during our visit, but we understand and is normal. The best part for sure is the terrace and the view is really nice. The room is ok, the smell inside was not the best specially inside the toilet . During the afternoon they start doing some maintenance work very loud so between the scream from the pool and the drill noise was not the most relaxing stay, is not the best during a weekend where people travel to take breaks .Nice potential of growing starting from some fixing in the rooms, with warm water , and a safe that actually work .|The workers are nice and helpful.|

Everything about our stay was good--in particular the view from the balcony of the room. Be sure to ask for a room with a view. The attached restaurant has even better views and good food. I don't normally like to eat in hotel restaurants, but this was an exception. The hotel is very close to the Costa Line bus station, but uphill from it. You might not want to walk with your luggage from the station to the hotel.

Upon arrival, I was told they overbooked the room category so they gave me a room without a balcony but with a bigger bed ( i really did not care about the bed size, so really it was a downgrade) the receptionist was rude and stated that she was going to cancel my reservation via booking and make it seem like my card had declined and made a new one there, for a different category when I refused she said that either I could take what she was offering or I could go somewhere else, the hotel is in a difficult area to access so after a long drive I decided to stay, right after charging my credit card the receptionist tried to sell me some private tours.. what a nerve.||Later that night I was unable to watch TV since the cable signal was very poor, I had to send some work emails which I couldn't do since there was no wi- fi I called the front desk and the receptionist (a nicer one) try and help but could not after trying with different wi-fi signals, then in the morning I showered but my travel companion couldn't finish showering since the water service was cut off.( again I called the front desk and they were not able to fix it) When I decided to speak to the manager a woman named Melissa Hernandez about all the difficulties she vaguely apologized she took my email and offered to give me a special rate for a future stay... days later I got an email with her information nothing else, she asked me to contact her if I wanted to return ...NO COMPENSATION OFFERED AT ALL ... breakfast is coffee or tea with toast and not even that I could get since I lost the paper they gave me upon check-in. this is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed in in Mexico.
