Hotel Villamor, a Design Boutique Hotel Dénia, Spain

"This modern hotel has a sunny terrace and is just 150 metres from Marinas Beach and 3 km from Denia. The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms, and has an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi. All rooms are decorated in an avant-garde style and enjoy a balance of minimal detailing and bold colouring. Each has a satellite TV and private bathroom with a hairdryer. Breakfast is available at the Villamor. Guests can enjoy a drink in the contemporary-style bar and terrace. A supermarket, chemist and restaurants can be found 500 metres from the hotel. There are 2 golf courses within 15 km of the Villamor. A diving centre can be found 50 metres away and jet-ski hire is available 500 metres away. Private on-site parking is available, for an extra charge. Buses run to Denia from near the hotel." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Lovely hotel, excellent location 2 min walk from the beach. Rooms are very clean, price is very good and staff are lovely. Not too far from the center of Dénia, walkable distance if you like to walk, if not very quick in the car. We loved our stay and will stay again.

Unfortunately the room (number1) we had was very very small with no balcony. The air conditioning smelled quite strange. Damp musty smell in room. What was evident was although a plug in was being used… the room had mosquitoes. We have been bitten badly and hoping it was not bed bugs! For the money we paid for 3 nights- over €500 we were very disappointed. We used it as a base but really the location was not great. We were charged €14 per night for a space to park the car too. Not a place to return to for us.

What a wonderful find this place is . Due to flight delays we didn’t check in until the early hours but our host was still there . We weren’t really sure what to expect as it only rated as 2 star , but honestly it was nearer 4 , especially in terms of customer service - which in my mind goes much further than an extensive range of pillows !! . Our room was spacious with a great balcony and enjoyed all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also to a good standard with plenty of choice and attentive service. The outside space was comfortable and the pool, albeit small offered some cool refreshment from the warmth of the Sun. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Denia Town and we walked to the Castle at a leisurely pace in approx 40 minutes . Having secure parking at the hotel was a real bonus also . We would definitely return when we next visit our friends and have no hesitation in recommending this place . The lady owner was very friendly and happy to chat and offer advice on things to see and do . A real gem and way more deserving of 2 stars - Adios until next time , hasta pronto 😊

The rooms are nothing like on the pictures. No fridge and no pool towels. The beds had mattress protectors of plastic, the sheets were extremely thin and the double bed were 2 mattresses put together with separate sheets. The Terra e overlooked a construction sight next door. The staff was extremely friendly and the pool are was small but nice, but also the sun beds were worn out. There is private parking available for 9& which we used as we travel by car with personal items, but there are also a few parking spaces in front of the hotel as well as street parking. Located across the street from the beach it is a short walk to restaurants, but for an alleged 3-star it is overrated and overpriced.

The big issue with this hotel is that there is a stark difference between the presentation and images shown in the internet and the reality which one confronts when standing in front of the hotel and which can be encountered inside.||The outside of the hotel and its neighbourhood such as displayed on the internet image looks much different in the real world. The hotel is surrounded by small private houses in a small street with very few parking options. From our hotel room, the view is limited and shows onto a row of lining small private homes. The balcony of our hotel room is very small and it is no place to relax. The street can be busy with occasional traffic. The room itself is much smaller as displayed in the internet and not filled with colours in contrast to internet images but grey and somber.||The pool is very small and just for a cool-down and does not allow swimming. ||Breakfast is under the average of Spanish and European standards because: orange juice is from supermarket cartons and has the taste of diluted concentrated juice and definitely not fresh, jam is also not from the best taste, butter was missing, the taste of spanish jam was from the cheapest category, there was only one choice of bread and very limited self service. ||This hotel is ok for a one night stay but not for a longer holiday looking for a relaxing environment inside the hotel compared with others I have visited before all around the world. The price is relatively high for the lacking confort but one of the lowest in the Denia area which has relatively high hotel prices.|We wanted to stay two nights but being disappointed by the reality which we confronted compared what we saw in the internet, we only stayed one night and payed the additional 30% cancellation fee looking for a more convenient place on the coastline.||It has to be mentioned that the staff was very correct and polite.

Absolutely the best experience ever. Pablo was the most amazing host ever and made the experience unforgettable.I wanted to watch the Dutch football match, went to my room, came downstairs and Pablo had set up the tv for me and brought me a drink and some snacks.Pablo really made the experience and should be rewarded as such. 10/10 would stay again!
