It is an excellent and beautiful hotel to spend time with your family or partner. Excellent service and very safe. Close to the train stations, close to the beaches, restaurants and shopping streets where you can find what you need.

Between the day before check-in and the day of check-in, I called at least a half dozen times just for the phone to ring for 2 minutes with nobody answering a single call. Room was dirty. Every drawer had hair, dust, and dirt accumulated. Night stands had weird stains. Floors hadn’t been swept or mopped in a WHILE. Least comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on and the sheets were stained. Toilet seat was unscrewed in one side.. Even the bathroom towels were low quality. Website promises all these cool amenities but there isn’t a single amenity in the building aside from an ATM in the lobby. I would never stay at Hotel BPM in Brooklyn again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either.

I came here for an early valentine’s weekend with my boyfriend just to be away from everything and everyone else for a night. The photos aren’t necessarily lying but as they are advertisements they make the room look larger than it is and brighter. But then again ALL marketing teams do this, so that’s no crime. The website DID lie in saying that there would be a Bluetooth speaker in our room. There was none and when we pointed this out to the front desk they issued us a $25 credit back to my card. There was also no water in our fridge that may or may not have been working. Its light was on, but it did not feel cold. On the positive side, we didn’t hear anything from our neighbors even though the hotel was almost entirely booked. We only ever heard neighbors when they were in the hallway, never through the walls and I’m sure they could say the same. Air conditioning and tv worked great. Easy no fuss place if you’re just looking for somewhere to lay your head for a day or two.||Long story short: this hotel is probably run by some businessman in another country who has never seen the property but bought a building in Brooklyn and made it a hotel. It’s a cheap hotel and would go again for another night if I’m that desperate to get away and unwilling to spend a lot of money. It was not awful but you’re getting what you pay for. Very poor for NYC standards but looking at these prices you should know that.

I never done a review before but I definitely felt the need to do one on this place. Recently stayed here on 11/06 and it was horrible. First of all they use it as a shelter so people are living there. Secondly it feels very lived in I have been to many hotels and it has been clean not this one.thirdly Stains on the sheet and nothing worked no ice machine. Fourthly the elevator takes like 10 mins to get to the floor. Lastly they offer free breakfast but there is none the whole hotel smells like cigarettes. I really wish I can can get a refund but hey it happens to the best of us.Never again!

I just want to say that if you are on a budget or Do not plan to stay more than one day in Brooklyn, This is an okay budget hotel. My stay overall was okay. Nothing exciting about the rooms. Yes the furniture is a little beat up but I was able to sleep on the bed for two nights just fine. However there was a strange smell in my room that I could not identify. I really do not complain much when it comes to accommodations because most of the time u get what u pay for. The area around the hotel is pretty convenient. I had no trouble finding parking along the street on a weekend. The trains are only a few blocks away for easy access into the city. They told me they are supposedly doing renovations to bring the bar back and provide breakfast. I thought this hotel was renovated or started only a few years ago. Well anyway just don't expect much. If you are okay with basic, bare minimum amenities, you should have no issues with your stay.

Rooms are not like the photos as far as modernity and newness. Needs simple renovations (fresh paint, new carpet, cabinet doors resurfaced, etc). It'll do for a single night, but would not stay an entire trip here. UPDATE: stayed again a week later on the back end on a trip (layover), and one night was one night too many to sleep here. Attaching photos of the very dirty room I was first assigned. I requested a move because the room had never been cleaned from the last occupants (urine residue on the toilet seats, disheveled towels, oil/sweat stains on the night stand). The second room was "cleaner" (seemingly without dna from prior guests), but in no better condition as far as scratched and dented furniture, cracked mirrors, marks (identifiable and unidentifiable) on the walls. Even the fresh linen card had dirt/residue...which seemed to indicate the linens would actually not be fresh at all. I slept uneasily and fully clothed after turning down the sheets and thoroughly inspecting for stray spots or hairs😖. I did not shower or sit on the toilet seat. The front desk employees were pleasant and polite, albeit a little unpolished as far as professionalism. They seemed to be high school seniors, just old enough to be left alone at a hotel desk overnight, but not old enough to run the place effectively. All in all, don't stay here. Spend the extra $100 for a clean room and a good night's sleep.

This place is located in a not nice neighborhood. The front door is broken and the plastic that is replacing the glass is completely broken. As soon as you walk in to the tiny lobby, you can smell weed and cigarettes. The room that was assigned to me was dirty. Sheets full of stains and holes. Bathroom dirty and bathtub full of stains. Towels feel like sandpaper. Remote control good for turn on the tv but not to change channels. For last, the next day the elevator was broken and had to use the stairs to come down with my 50 pounds luggage and 10 pounds backpack.||Do not let the pictures impress you. The pictures has nothing to do with the reality of the hotel. Stay away from this place.

Google
From the website this hotel looks great. They advertise many amenities that are no longer offered. The neighborhood is not the best, with no restaurants within walking distance and no food offered on site. All of the sheets and towels were stained and dirty. The room itself is worn down and dirty. Also I kept waking up feeling like bugs were crawling all over me! When I checked out the bill made no sense. Someone charged stuff to my room but it wasn’t me! Very frustrating!

Yelp
Wow... this place is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I checked in and the person at the front desk was hanging out with the "security" guard and god forbid I bother her to check-in. After a terrible interaction I went up to my room. The elevator opened and I was treated by the lovely noises of people adult wrestling... I mean good for them but it was loud. The room itself was absolutely disgusting! Dirty floors that look like they have been cleaned six months ago, stained sheets that don't fit the bed, scuff marks everywhere! I am not kidding it is like someone took offense to everything painted white and beat it with a shoe with a dark sole. The HVAC Unit is covered in dust and doesn't work and the window was open because the room smells like Febreze and weed. The mattress is probably from 1980 as it is hard as a rock and I had the pleasure of seeing under the non fitted sheet that was the bottom sheet. A few hairs, lots of stains and I don't want to know what else. The shower.... oh the shower and bathroom. The toilet had hair and pee on it like no one remembered to clean it. The soap containers were partially full and open. The towels are about as big as a hand towel and stained (shocker), and someone brushed their teeth in the sink but it wasn't me... it was left over from the previous guest who I assume brushed and ran. Also, the light was hanging out of the ceiling, so that was a nice touch. This hotel is not three stars, or two, maybe one and a half stars. The price doesn't lie, you pay for what you get! Also, the pictures online are from the glory days and not anything that it looks like now. The neighborhood is also pretty sketchy. If you like rundown, dirty, smelly, gross hotels, this place is for you! If not, spend the money and stay someplace else if you can.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this hotel! I am a huge music buff. You advertise a lot to bring folks in & didn't deliver. No DJ , no bar & front desk trying to charge for a complimentary breakfast?? However, I've been in the customer service business for 25 years. The lack of service was not only beyond poor but left me worrying about my security as well. I will list just a few things that were ridiculous: Day 1 -The hotel was out of toilet paper, we received rations & were waiting for a delivery later in the evening. When does a hotel run out of TP??? Thank goodness I travel with baby wipes! Even when they received the delivery(saw it in the lobby), the maid refused to reload it during the 4 days we stayed there! Day 2- Glad my roomies and I are all in good shape. The elevator broke & remained so the duration of our stay. Day 3-Who knew getting towels in a hotel could be so tough? When the maid decided to reload, you may or may not get face or hand towels. She may or may not wipe down the bathroom as well. Hallways were filthy with dirty laundry left in glad bags in front of our door. Customer service for the whole visit was horrible! From no hostess in the lobby to one that SLEPT(you read that correctly) behind the counter w/ a blanket to keep her warm. The other two hostesses need intensive hotel etiquette training. As we were leaving, when we asked question, one actual admitted to knowing nothing about the hotel & was just there,(in her own words) for "shits & giggles". The hotel is actually in a very convenient location, just wish the owner & management took more pride in their brand. Have had a more comfortable stay at a Travelodge.

Yelp
Mothers day treat. The mirror is my favorite.. the shower is awesome too. However, the scuff marks on the walls are unattractive. House keeping is not that great also. There were crumbs left on the cabinet as well as drink spill. Asked for another towel and cloth.. guy left shift and never told next person, waited over an hour to wash my asss. Asked for an iron, sent broken one. People have lives and work BPM, get it together. Update: The fact you have to go all the way down to the lobby, and buy over priced snacks and water.. i rather walk around the corner to the deli.

Yelp
Be Aware: I prepaid for my hotel room via Priceline and was charged again by the hotel. Make sure you check your back statement. I tried calling the hotel back on multiple occasions but no response. I followed up w an email so hopefully someone will contact me back. As for the room, the AC worked well and the room was a decent size. However, the furniture was out dated (damaged - especially the dresser) and wasn't very clean (there were hair balls in my towels - not kidding). With the hairball and mis-billing I would never be coming back and would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

Yelp
I stayed here recently and it was a room. My review is based on how i feel it could be a gem. I have a bias with hotels that don't have carpeted floors so that's my hang up. However, upon entering the lobby of this hotel i was greeted with blank stares as to what i was doing there. Lol. Nobody asked if they could help me or anything. I finally said "good evening. I'm here to check In."... they asked if id made my reservation online, which i did and i wws checked in. They asked if i could give them my credit card and ID and charged me a completely different rate than what's booked online (haven't checked my credit card statement yet to see if i was billed twice as of yet. Will update.)... checking in was a lengthy process but i was checked in. While i was down there, a boy came down and said he was unable to enter his room and the other gentleman behind the desk whom was doing nothing just looked at the young man as if he had 6 heads and was completely unbothered. He didn't offer to help or anything. Just lack of customer service across the board. Finally, I get to my room and it's a room. Somewhat swanky but very just put together on a "eh. This should do it" too. Lol. Floors could've been a better condition if polished. Bathroom was somewhat sexy. The bed was pretty comfortable. The lamp over the nightstand, one didn't work. The armoire was clunky and didn't close all the way at all. The area doesn't have much to offer in terms of food since it's in industry city/ sunset park... hence the name "industry city"..... i managed. Parking was ok for me. I was able park in front of the hotel but had i not gotten there at the time that I did i wouldve had to pay an additional $25 to park. Lmao. Definitely don't think I'll be staying here again. I usually stay at the Bogart Hotel in Williamsburg but over the years the quality of the place has gone down. This is beginning to be the usual for Brooklyn Swanky hotels... start out good then decrease in quality over the course of a year or so.

Yelp
Update 6/7/16 - a few weeks back management reached out to me about my review, to see how they could rectify the issue. I responded, asking how they planned to resolve the issue? I completely forgot until I just saw notifications that people found this review helpful...they never even responded! To their own attempt to reach out. They are hilarious, I can't make this stuff up. Please don't waste your time, don't say I didn't warn ya.

Joshua S.

Yelp
Doesn't pick up their front desk phone at all. Priceline can't even get in touch with them. Nightmare. Read the rest of the reviews and you'll know to avoid.

Mildred C.

Yelp
If you are looking for a short stay close to subway but far enough from commuters, school kids and panhandlers this might work for you. They NO longer host a bar or dj on the weekend as others have indicated but I wasn't there for that. Unfortunately, they also host people with vouchers and that alone makes you feel insecure. I just waited for the friendly maids to hand me fresh towels you can't trust some one with head phones on while they clean rooms to ensure that one of their sketchy "guests" will not walk in a room and steal from your room while you are out getting coffee. I don't think this establishment will be around too long given the element you will be sharing your stay with. So. If you want to really experience the downside of social ills in NYC then by all means stay here. I am just glad I survived long enough to warn others.

Yelp
This hotel was in a bad neighborhood, not near any restaurants, and had no parking. They also never refunded our deposit, we disputed with the bank and then they took the money out again almost a year later. Dirty rooms and horrible service. No amenities. I would never reccommend.

Jason W.

Yelp
We enjoyed our four night stay here. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff are friendly and the room and hotel are clean. The hotel has an electronic dance music theme with subtle themed decor in the lobby with music. The building itself is clean, note the elevator is really slow. We found our room to be very clean, even as I was pushing the bed around looking for something I didn't see any dust or unfavorable stuff. The TV was great and you can listen to it through a speaker in the shower. There is a mini fridge too. We enjoyed the shower gel and soap as they had a pleasant smell. There wasn't much of a view, but we did enjoy that there is a subway station within a couple blocks a few friendly and clean markets close. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast unfortunately. Great stay, exactly what we were looking for.

Yelp
A little bit off the beaten path, but if you simply need a good place to crash for the night, the Hotel BPM is well worth considering. I had a good experience here after finding a deal on booking.com. The place is clean yet a little funky (in a hip-hop sort of way, not in a smelly way). The price was right (under $200 for a weekend night), I scored free street parking right outside of the building, and the bed was comfortable. I also found the staff to be really nice. The hotel seems to be in a good location. I caught a couple cabs from here and didn't spend more than $10 per trip. A ride to the Barclays Center was about 10 minutes away. It also seems close to public transportation though I didn't go that route. The only con was that the continental breakfast was skimpy, but at least it was free. It may not be the best choice for the snobby crowd. Then again I don't think Brooklyn caters to that crowd anyway!

Hannah C.

Yelp
This is a "you get what you pay for" type situation. This hotel's deal on Priceline was about $75 cheaper than an equivalent star in Manhattan (about 40 minutes away by train). It's definitely not up to snuff for what I consider a three star hotel to be. Towels rougher and thinner than what you use at home, toiletries with the labels worn off from use, scratches in the furniture. The bed was fine, and the room was clean. If you're just looking for an inexpensive stopover and don't need to be near anything, it might fit the bill. There's not a lot of fun stuff in the immediate area, but it's about a mile from several fun foodie areas.

Yelp
Me and my mother stayed at this Hotel. We really enjoyed the ambiance from the time we walked in. The colors and modern decor give a sense of high energy which makes you feel good. Sort of how you feel when you leave the gym after a great workout. The room was wonderful with a comfortable bed, high quality sheets, and a high-end bathroom with great finishes. The staff we encountered from every area of the hotel were friendly, courteous, and happy to see us. The continental breakfast was great and the staff working there made us feel like home. The location is walking distance to great restaurants, trains, and buses. If you take the D train, you are only one stop away from Brooklyn Nets NBA action. Two stops on the D train will put you in downtown Manhattan. I would highly recommend this hotel for the price conscious looking for quality without breaking the bank. My Hotel BPM wishlist: A danceflloor and/or rooftop lounge to go with the theme Bar Hot breakfast (sausage, bacon, eggs, ham, hash-browns) -Aaron Brooklyn, NY

Rasool B.

Yelp
Our stay at Hotel BPM was filled with Hi's and some Lows. First the highs: The front desk team was very friendly. The decor was stylish and edgy. I loved the rain fall style shower and contemporary bathroom with lighted mirror. The room also had a Keurig with the coffee cups which my wife loved. Hotel complementary parking was an unexpected bonus which was great especially in Brooklyn. This is a small thing but the fact that the TV guide channels were prominently displayed in their hotel guide which was really helpful because I was trying to watch the football game that was already on. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. OK now for the Lows. So we had an issue with our towels and washcloths. For some reason when the housekeeping staff changed our linens they neglected to replace the washcloths & hand towels. So then we called the front desk to get them to fix it. An hour later no washcloths. After another call the person came and gave us more towels but still no washcloths. Eventually we got the wash clothes. But then the next day once again they took our washcloth and towels did not replace them! The breakfast had waffles and great pastries but nothing savory like eggs. These were blemishes on an otherwise good stay.

Yelp
One of the worst hotel experiences I have had, and I travel weekly for work. I would usually never stay in Brooklyn except that when booking a trip last minute, every hotel under $500 a night in Manhattan was booked and his one seemed to have good reviews. I checked in at 7:30 PM and apparently was the last guest to arrive so was given the worst room in the place. I could literally hear phone ring and word being said in the lobby, as well as the blaring techno music and the ice cream truck outside (why this was going on at 8 PM I don't know). I was not a happy camper, as I had not slept at all the night before on my red eye, and was really just looking for a quiet place to relax. There aren't even restaurants or cabs around. This is not civilization! Sorry to be snobby but just...no.

Jasmeet S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I first booked with BPM in January 2014 then again a year later. We have no complaints other than the breakfast. Eggs did not taste real. We do enjoy the staff helping us get a cab very easily and the comfortable bed and pillows. We'd definitely stay here again

Reggie B.

Yelp
If I could give it a No Star rating I would. This is the noisiest, most overpriced hotel I've ever stayed at. There are countless fake reviews on this hotel. It has a great concept, poor execution. The rooms are your average closet siced NYC rooms with little room to manuever around the bed. The best part about the hotel is the speaker in the bathroom. You can hear EVERYTHING on your floor and above. Doors don't close, they SLAM and the bed literally shakes everytime that happens. I was on the back side and could hear cars bumping their sound systems all night like it was still the 90's. The breakfast is a joke. they don't even have a kitchen so everything is nuked to hell. I took two bites and walked out. As of 2 weeks ago, they didn't even have their liquor license so the "lounge" isn't much of a lounge. I left there feeling horrible from the lack of sleep and almost $500 out of my pocket for a 2 night stay. FAIL!!!!

Carey F.

Yelp
I have to say, reading some of the reviews on here, you would think that this hotel was one step up from the sewer. Not so!!! We spent 4 nights here, Thursday thru Sunday, and we could not have been any happier. The staff was great, the room was clean and quiet, and have everything you would need, even the filled fridge. Free breakfast, free drinks in the lounge on Friday and Saturday night. Three blocks from the subway. The neighborhood didn't have much in the way of shopping or dining, but it was not dangerous. A really nice clean unpretentous hotel. What more do you need?

Maurice H.

Yelp
I stayed here overnight and it is the worst hotel I stayed at. I saw pictures online and it looked like a nice modern hotel. Oh boy was I wrong. First the employees have no "uniform" or dress code whatsoever. The front hotel person(male) had flip flops on. Once you get in the elevator the floors were sticky and dirty. This was the best of the hotel. Once we got to the room the sheets looked like they had dried blood stains on them. The wooden floors were dirty. The toilet seat was broken and off the hinge. Now let's talk about the shower. The shower I thought was the best part till I went to adjust the shower head where I found the previous person used soap. When I went to put my clothes into the drawers I found a condom in it. Thank god it wasn't used. I would suggest you stay someplace else. If I could give it less than one star I would. Edit to original post. I just discovered a day later that the hotel gave us bed bugs. I was bitten on my neck as well as my wife. I had to throw away my suitcase and wash all our clothes in hot water. We stripped our bedding when we got home and spent $200 dollars on bed covers four our house. So this was an expensive hotel stay!!!!!!

Marty J.

Yelp
Well, I must admit, I was a bit leery of the Hotel BPM because it was so loud over the phone every time I called to work on the reservation. I felt sorry for the staff, but hey, when I went online and saw it's a music hotel - I got it...duh, BPM - beats per minute. I really enjoyed my long weekend stay. It was so fitting a choice since we were bringing a group in to shoot a TV special at the newly minted Barclays Center. The staff is very helpful, especially Lorraine at the front desk. But Rebecca, Jonathan, Joe, and the rest of the team were just wonderfully energetic and nice young people. I was not used to working with such a young staff in all areas, but they really bring BPM to life, and they are true professionals. I was thoroughly impressed with how hard they worked to help us with a somewhat complex reservation. Without the hard work and dedication of Lorraine, we would have been up the creek, and living on the subway if it wasn't for her excellent customer service! Free drinks in the basement lounge on from 8pm to 1am was insane fun...never seen a hotel do that on Friday and Saturday night. It's HAPPY NIGHT at Hotel BPM, not happy hour! I cannot wait to come back and chill out on a longer stay. They are still working out the kinks, like giving me new soap and lotion after clenaing the room. I would have been okay with those barely used items being kept there for me to deplete. There was no DO NOT DISTURB sign in the room. They have a friendly crew working at breakfast, but they just need to have things a little bit more organized like having all the condiments out, and the little things that experience will surely add to the flow there. Please add eggs to the menu, even if they are all the same like over medium or scrambled. Loved the nice TV and pre-programmed Netflix...I actually watched a movie. Music piped in from the front desk had me a little scared, but then I found the magic nob to turn it down when I wanted to switch gears. Overall, this is a cool joint, and I wish them well! Marty

Yelp
This hotel is nice enough, but when it comes resolving charges, they are just not professional. I have been fighting with them in the past two months to have them refund the fees they DOUBLE charged me for my stay. I prepaid the room back in May 2013 on their web site, and then got charged again while they stayed there in August 2013 . I have been calling and emailing, trying to get them to refund the overcharge they did. It's been two months and NO response. This really sucks. I am entitled to the money that I overpaid for my stay. If I don't hear from them in another week, I will file a complaint with the local business chamber and spread the bad news about them.

Gillian B.

Yelp
Everything in the bad reviews (which I should have read before booking) is true. I'm a pretty mellow traveler and can generally roll with the punches but here's what I experienced. Was given room 102. The window was open, it was 59 degrees inside and the heater didn't work. The furniture was covered with marks and dents as if it had been kicked and the floors and walls were literally filthy. We were given another room with working heat. The latch on the door was broken but the lock worked. There was fresh looking blood on the comforter when we woke up. Biggest issue: I did not feel safe here. The staff didn't seem too psyched about this place either. When told about the heat issue, the staff member got off of the couch in the lobby (where she was huddled under a blanket,) walked to our room in her socks, and said "I'm gonna f*ing quit today." The hotel is run down, creepy, and gross. Don't stay here. Stay anywhere else.

Amy L.

Yelp
The good: Comfortable clean big bed with fluffy pillows. Location is a little sketchy, but good Spanish food around. TV had netflix (yay!). Small comfy room with just the essentials. The bad: I read the previous reviews and I probably got the same room as that last guest, still the same scuffed up walls and banged up refrigerator and the wheel is STILL Missing from that swivel chair lol. Loud squeaky noise when using the rainfall shower, had to use the handheld shower. The square (YES SQUARE) toilet seat was SMALLER than the actual toilet (weird....). Continental breakfast included waffle, bagels and fruit. No eggs, no yogurt, Just the bare basic carbs. Would I come back? No thanks.

C B.

Yelp
It was very nice and clean here (the bed was sooo comfortable). The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating and even gave us free drinks! You get free WiFi and access to a lot of TV channels (even Netflix!) which was nice when you wanted to be lazy in the hotel. The area was fun, with a lot of cool restaurants (mostly asian and latin food, yum), and it was a quick train ride to downtown NYC, probably like twenty minutes. My boyfriend and I had a good time exploring the neighborhood, going downtown, and relaxing in the hotel. It was pretty quiet when I went because not all of the rooms were open, but i can't imagine what it'll be like when the hotel's sold out for the Jay-Z concert! The only problem, since I am a smoker, was that I had to go downstairs every time I wanted to have a cigarette. I wish there were balconies or roof access to make my bad habit a little easier to do. But overall it was awesome. I would definitely go back (especially since they would offer the great deal I got again!)

Trent L.

Yelp
Had to ask for washcloths, but got them. Wifi was wonky and got no solution from the front desk, but I figured it out. (It was a different network name)The walls were super thin. "Trendy" for trendy's sake. Not many food options within walking distance after 8pm. That said, we got a decent price and it's very close to the subway. The room was clean.

Daisy G.

Yelp
Would not stay here again. The hotel itself is pretty good and the service is great, but the housekeeping is terrible. Out of the three nights we stayed, our room was only cleaned once. We had to ask them to change our towels every night because housekeeping never cleaned our room for whatever reason. We also had an incident where our neighbors were causing drunk and disorderly conduct at 1 or 2 in the morning. I'd called the front desk several times to complain and have them take care of it, but no one picked up. I was so angry I marched down to the front desk the next morning and explained to them the situation. The lady was kind enough to refund that night of our stay. A few days after returning home, however, we found a very suspicious charge from BPM on our statement. When we called to inquire, they said their records didn't show this particular charge under our name, and a day later, the $69 pending charge disappeared. Another day or two later, however, a new $296 charge from BPM was pending and then promptly processed to our credit card. We called again, and they said the charge was because there were two missing bathrobes in our room. We told them that upon entering our hotel for the first time, we can assure them there were absolutely no bathrobes there. And even so, a $300 charge for two bathrobes?!? I find that really hard to believe. I honestly think someone's adding arbitrary charges to our account hoping we don't notice them, because this is now the second time we've seen these bizarre numbers show up on our online statement. edit: refund receipt for the $296 was received via email. On the lookout for this to actually process. I will definitely have my eyes peeled for any further charges. It's quite sad that my stay at this hotel was not very bad, and I would have given it 3 or 4 stars. But any positive impressions have been reneged after these very questionable charges.

Helloooooo Brooklyn, goodbye Sunset Park! Needed somewhere to stay in Brooklyn and stumbled upon BPM on hotels.com. I got an aweomse rate ($100/night) and figured it was worth a try. Not the best location but we were driving so it worked for us. The hotel had free drinks (Pre-mixed margs or sangria) which was nice, DJ at the checkin and free (light) breakfast. Overall the staff was young and inexpereinced, but super nice and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again, but can't imagine paying more than $150 or so based on location and quality of the hotel.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were in New York for one night only, and we wanted to find an affordable, but nice hotel. I scoured all of the major travel sites, and during our visit I couldn't find anything less than $350/night. Fortunately, however, I found Hotel BPM on Groupon. I had no problems booking the hotel with my Groupon voucher. I found the hotel to be clean, fairly well-located (3 blocks from a subway station), and really hip/swanky. It was a great find! The hotel offers complimentary breakfast. To be honest, it was just okay, but free breakfast is always a nice touch. Wifi is also free. The staff were really friendly and available to provide dining and other recommendations upon our request.

Yelp
My fiancee and I flew out to NY for a wedding. We decided to stay here because it was close to the church. They did not disappoint. Everything is new, clean and modern. Free WiFi, 24 hour room service [the food is awesome], Smart TV in your room [you can connect to your Netflix account right on the TV], Music plays in the bathroom. Free drinks in the lounge until 2am, and free breakfast before 10am. The bed is huge and firm as hell. Slept like a king. Everything is very convenient and accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the room was rather small, and there were nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom.

Yelp
I have looked at the pictures on Yelp and they are all accurate. This is a hotel that has tried to make the rooms so classy, yet has missed the important details. First off, I was given a room with someone already in it, with the deadbolt locked! I kept trying the key...and it worked, but the deadbolt thankfully kept me from bursting in on them. The bathroom is a beauty - really nice fixtures and reminiscent of something you'd see in a W or comparable hotel. But it kind of ends there. Where is the iron, ironing board, coffee, tea, mugs, or even plastic cups? There isn't even a hotel directory in the room to let you know who to call for what or where to go for what. There is a mini fridge, but the temp inside was warmer than the room, with water pooled at the bottom. I'm not putting anything in that thing. I did see some pics on Yelp of Keurigs and coffee cups. Not in my room, though. There are like 4 parking spaces for the whole hotel - not kidding. First come, first serve, so if you come with a car, don't count on getting a parking space here. The neighborhood isn't pretty by all means, but doesn't feel unsafe. There are a few stores within walking distance to get the essentials, but no really noteworthy restaurants unless you want to take the subway or walk 20 blocks. The elevator is probably the slowest one I have ever ridden in. So slow that I have chosen to walk up 6 flights of stairs because it's about three times as fast as riding the lift. And from the pictures online, it apparently isn't always working anyway, though it was for my visit. They advertise having a bar/lounge on their website...and there is one. The only thing is that is doesn't ever open! Just a dark room with some bar stools. They also advertise towncar/limo service...except that they don't have that either. You'd be better off calling a cab on your own. I would never return to this hotel. I see a few reviews on Yelp that say things like "this is the only hotel I would ever stay at in Brooklyn because it is so awesome." Ummm...I am pretty sure those reviews are BOGUS! No way anyone traveling to NYC could have that opinion of this place. I have stayed at hotels all over the city, from 2 to 5 stars, and all have exceeded this experience. Now off to bed. This rock-hard bed that I'm almost sure is made of stacked cinderblocks with a plush topper. Unisom is the only thing that will get me to sleep tonight on this brick. Thankfully I only have one night here on this trip.

Yelp
I travel almost every other weekend. I'm in and out of hotels and always on the go. By far this hotel has the best customer service I've ever had. And I can't forget and mention how cool this hotel is too. My girl and I spent 5 nights in NYC and we stayed in BK. My friend told me about this hotel and highly recommended it. From the moment my girl and I checked in we were treated like royalty. Every single employee in this hotel really made our stay an unforgettable one! They serve breakfast downstairs in the morning. They have a live DJ on Fridays and Saturday nights in the lobby. And also will be playing in the lounge downstairs with drinks. You can listen to the DJ live from your TV and the sound also can be controlled in your room and bathroom. The neighborhood is so family friendly with lots of great places to eat. There is a subway station only 2 short blocks away. The cab service they call for you are honest and efficient. Whenever I called the front desk for anything it was done right away. I can't see myself staying anywhere else when I come back to the NYC area. The STAFF is amazing! A special thank you to everyone who works there!

Yelp
I am a weekly business travler and Hilton Diamond member . Because Brooklyn has zero Hiltons I explored options and found BPM where I stayed 5 nights . Great spot with nice vibe and amazingly comfortable bed and bedding . It was also cool to have netfix and Hulu in the room . A different individually made breakfast is served each day. The staff of the hotel were quite friendly and helpful throughout the week . I really enjoyed my stay and would return without question Hilton in Brooklyn or not .

Yelp
This is a pretty cool themed-hipster boutique hotel. They really took their time picking the perfect accents placed throughout the lobby and rooms, the front desk staff was always helpful and knowledgable, the ac/hear was great, the elevator is super slow so opt for the stairs, it's in a great location with subway access and lots of restaurants & bodegas within close proximity.

Yelp
About the least professional staff I've run into, and that includes places like a Motel 8. Took three tries to get us fully checked in, and I had to keep going downstairs or calling down to the front desk for more information. Breakfast is served "until 11", but actually until they feel like it or they run out of food. Good luck if you have any dietary restrictions. Especially because the neighborhood is a food hole, which makes it almost unique in NYC. Inexpensive, but spend the extra money and you'll be in the actual city.

Yelp
Hotel bpm is one of my most favorite hotel i have stayed at. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very modern and cozy. I love the organic honey lotion provided. My favorite part was the amazing free breakfast. I recommend the omelette and the pancakes. The only downsides are the thin walls in the rooms and breakfast has only one waitress working so service is pretty slow. Other than that, I would definitely stay again. B.t.w they have good nightly rates for returning customers.

Yelp
My BF and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our vacation to NYC. Everything was clean and the breakfast service was good, the only thing we had an issue with was the bed not being made and the AC. The AC wasn't working properly ( due to unknown reasons that we still didn't get an answer to), but In regards to the bed; they have a card in the room that states "change linens" and on the other side "do not change linens" we left it on the side stating do not change them. Well, they didn't change them but they also did not make the bed. If I'm paying $300 a night for a hotel the least thing I expect is to have my bed made. My bf kindly went to the front desk to see if that was part of their normal procedure and they said it was not. They did give us an offer we could not refuse so due to their attention to customer satisfaction, I would definitely stay here again. Overall, it was clean, the staff was friendly and everyone said hello, the free breakfast wasn't bad and neither were the rooms. The showers are awesome, and the small details like free wifi and a smart TV were a plus.

Yelp
I traveled with 3 others and booked a double room. It was very clean, showed no signs of wear, and the hotel overall had a fresh new clean feeling. The D, N and R trains at 36th street were very easy to get to-less than a 5min walk. The neighborhood is safe and there were many affordable restaurants close by. We enjoyed their free hot breakfast it was hearty, plus to-go coffee cups were very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always willing to give recommendations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable and safe place to stay in Brooklyn.

Yelp
For the price I paid each not I'm not impressed with the quality of this hotel. Old carpeted halls, lots of wear on the furnishings and bathroom fixtures. Got to my room and had only decaf coffee and no towels. Called down for towels and they took 45 mins to being them up. No one answered the phone when I called the front desk 6 times. No microwave and a locked fridge weren't really helpful. Also, they charge $23 a night for parking in a lot that only has 7 parking spots! However, the people at the front desk are cool and the bed was really comfy.

Yelp
The room and the hallways were extremely dirty. There was blood stain and other kinds of disgusting stains on the bed sheet and when I asked for a new sheet, the new one had stains all over it too. There was even hair all over the bed sheet which showed they definitely did not change the bed sheet after the previous guest. There was a strong smoke smell in the room. The hallways stink terribly and had no AC. Same for the lobby if you could even call that a lobby. There was no hair drier or iron in the room and you have to borrow them. I tried to borrow the hair drier, but the one they sent me was broken and wouldn't turn on. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and you had to have your own. The hotel is in a very bad neighborhood and even some of the guests in the hotel are scary!! I did not feel safe even inside my room let alone out in the streets. In fact, there is a security guy seating in the hallway in each floor!!!! It must be really unsafe even inside the hotel to require security in the hallways.

Yelp
The wife and I stayed at hotel BPM on a Groupon. I read some really good reviews on here so I figured we would book. We also like the idea of staying in independent hotels or private residences when we travel, and being music lovers, this place just made sense. We arrived around 6pm and checked in. We ended up parking behind the hotel, and truthfully checked the car the next morning to make sure it was okay. The neighborhood was a little sketchy, but I think it was more of an appearance, because it turned out to be just fine. The check in process was easy and friendly. Our room was small, but it's BK, it's to be expected. There was no way to turn the music on in the room - I was looking forward to that, the wifi was non-existent, and we had to turn the heat off because no matter what we did, cold air would pump out of the vents. We were on the second floor, so we took the stairs because the elevator moved at a snails pace. The stairwell was definitely reminiscent of a parking garage stairwell. The breakfast was pretty decent. Few slices of bacon and some scrambled eggs. It was a little better than expected. What I will say, is like others have mentioned, the staff really is very nice. Very personable, and friendly. The groupon got us to stay here for $300 for 2 nights. I think that was a decent deal, but I don't think I would pay more than that to stay at BPM. The train station was conveniently 2 blocks away, and took about 30 minutes to get to midtown. Just an honest review....

Yelp
Nice clean and new hotel. Close to subway. If you do a bit of homework there are very nice restaurants in walking distance . Laundry service is next to hotel. Sunset park is a 10 min walk. But I think with a little bit more TLC and better management it could be even better. Breakfast needs improvem

Yelp
Very poor food service in the bar. Food was not good overall. Waited over an hour for food with only a few patrons. Hotel is nice, clean, friendly service.

Yelp
So the manager responds to the review and when I reach out like they told me to, I got no response. This place is terrible.

Yelp
If you're on the fence about staying here - DON'T DO IT! There are so many hotels in New York that are in much better neighborhoods (such as Hotel Le Bleu which is in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn - it's about the same price but it has excellent customer service and it's in a much nicer area). I was second-guessing this hotel when I booked but I learned a costly $260 lesson - I will NEVER stay at this hotel. I reserved a room here in September but couldn't make the trip, and I've never been through such a hassle trying to cancel a hotel reservation. Their employees lack adequate customer service skills and are completely incompetent at cancelling a reservation. When I called to cancel, I was told by the person answering that he couldn't cancel my reservation but the only person who could was in the bathroom and would call me back. Two hours and still no call back. I finally called again and the person acted as if she cancelled my reservation; however they still ended up charging me for the room a few days later. I called to find out why they charged my card and they said I never cancelled, I explained my story the person acted like they would send the information to their manager and credit back my card......but, still a month later, this still hasn't been done. If you intend to make a reservation with this hotel, be completely certain that you'll make it there because you won't be able to cancel your reservations and they'll charge you regardless.

Yelp
drove from Boston to here and got stuck in the blizzard where NYC declared a state of emergency. There was a travel ban that started and my car was buried in 2 feet of snow in the hotel parking lot. Even after all this they compensated us with nothing while staying here. We were forced to spend another $120 for being trapped in the blizzard. Not even a discount .. During a SNOW STORM. That I repeat was declared as a state of emergency! Worst service ever!! Any other hotel would not treat us like this. Oh and on top of that they asked us for a fee so they can shovel out my car.

Yelp
I stayed here for one night. It was clean enough and the bed was comfortable, although the toilet seat was broken. I had a very important meeting to attend the next morning. I went to take a shower and no hot water. It was too late to have the problem fixed so I had to go to the meeting feeling less than prepared. I told receptionist on my way out who said she would have the manager call me. I did not hear from the manager, so I tried four times to get a hold of the manager to no avail. I finally called my booking agent, Hotwire and they tried the manager and management refused any kind of refund. I believe I should have gotten a partial refund as you expect to be able to take a shower when you're staying at a hotel!!! For this reason, I won't stay there again.

Yelp
For thanksgiving my mom came up to visit me from my home state. I sent her BPM as suggestion, however she chose this as her stay for the next five days, and seeing as all the other hotels were booked she decided to have faith and push thru. During my stay with her, I realized the hotel has the potential to be great, to be a hot spot in Brooklyn. It's right here near Industry City, the train station is a few blocks up, which takes you straight to Atlantic Ave and right into the city. Great but small details is where businesses win. I'm convinced Hotel BPM was once an apartment building that became a "hip, trendy," location. The loud noise(music) in the early mornings, the cigarette smoke as soon as you get off the elevator is terrible. The scuff marks on the hallways, in the hotel rooms, marks in the cabinets. Geez I might as well let my mom stay with me and my rooms if she wanted a used look. People are paying money for a comfortable home away from home. Housekeeping comes whenever they want to. Cleaned the room but forgot to bring new towels. The towels look like they been over used in the wash machine, and feel cheap. Guys, just go to Target off Atlantic Ave and invest in some better quality towels, your guest will thank you for it. In the shower, neither of the shower gel nor the conditioner was ever replaced (trust I brought my own). No vending machine, no ice buckets. Also, the toilet will overflow, so try not to use it as much. Tragic. I'm just not understanding this whole concept of this place. American Horror Story Hotel could have done a better job. Again these are just suggestions to reach your full Hotel potential. But Im pretty sure this Hotel use to be an apartment building that got renovated.
