Hôtel Bristol

The hotel’s website (still) doesn’t mention that there’s a restaurant. But there is — and what a restaurant! During our first week in France, we searched for places to eat using the Michelin and Bib Gourmand apps. Not once that week did we have a meal as delicious and surprising as the one here! We also had a beautiful room and were welcomed by an incredibly enthusiastic receptionist. But remember this restaurant!!

This hotel I felt like a 5 star. | From the service and warm welcome to the food and decor very Art Deco. Absolutely delightful. Don’t forget to look up! ||The retro lift was a treat we loved travelling in the elevator. It is like we stepped back in time in a wonderful way. ||We had the set menu in the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was delicious. The tables were set lovely and real embroidered napkins and candles. It is a true gem in the heart of Pau. We felt so welcome. Definitely coming back. ||Our room was something special. The eco touches in the room are great. Local products and no to single use plastic. Decor again is outstanding. There is so much to mention the shutters, tall ceilings, wall tapestry and more. ||You can reserve parking with you name which again is a lovely touch and it’s only a ten minute walk to the boulevard. ||We highly recommend dinner in the new restaurant.||All of the team and the owner were so friendly and welcoming you could not ask for more. We wished we had more time here.

A charming hotel, beautiful style, right in the heart of of old Pau. Rooms are individually decorated, and very spacious. The staff are charming. We also had dinner, a 4 course set meal, which was truly superb. Each dish was carefully and thoughtfully crafted, I cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely little hotel. |The room was great and very comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and the hotel is very centrally placed. |We reserved parking on line which is probably a good thing as the park is very small. |The continental breakfast was varied and well worth the fee. |The only down side was that the walls of the bathroom don’t reach the ceiling which gives zero privacy for people using the toilet.

What a charming hotel! The staff was so nice and helpful. My name on my parking spot was such a thoughtful touch. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The lounge was a great place for our family and friends to meet, have wine and treats. A very memorable experience.

Highly recommend staying at Hôtel Bristol! I would even go back to Pau just for this place :-). We were welcomed in the most friendly way, and all the staff has been extremely nice and helpful during our stay. We had three different rooms, which were all beautifully decorated with the nicest details and super comfortable to stay in. The hotel breakfast has fresh, regional products and is a true feast. Next to that, the hotel serves drinks in a gorgeous lounge and you can also have a drink on their small terrace. 10/10!

In good, central & quiet location, this hotel has character, well restored & very comfortable. Large light comfortable room with good bathroom facilities. Secure wifi & very good breakfast provided. Staff friendly & good restaurant recommendations. Car parking facilities on site. Only a ten minute walk to the funicular that takes you to & from the train station.

Gorgeous little hotel. If you appreciate quality interior design, comfortable spaces and a delicious breakfast, you won’t go wrong here. Beautiful common areas and rooms, cozy with an air of sophistication. The staff at reception were wonderfully welcoming and so very helpful. Perfectly located in the spectacular city of Pau. If I could I would move in and never leave!

This is a interesting hotel. The owners are French with very limited English so it can be fun trying to get some questions answered. They are very nice though - and their son does speak English so of he is around then you are okay. The lift is small - and feels old - wish I'd taken a pic. My room was small but very clean and comfy and no noise at all. Breakfast was okay - nothing too exciting. Wifi was good - had no issues with speed or dropping signal. Hotel has a small parking area and is in a great location in the center of town. Will for sure stay here again one day.
