The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed linen was excellent. The decor was mixed quality. A teak wardrobe was definitely from the sixties. The dark green walls and dark green carpet were a little depressing. The marble fireplace and statue of Orpheus give you an idea of ambience of the bedroom. The shower was in the bath, so you had to step over the high rim. No rubber mat to prevent a slip. Dinner in the small restaurant had a menu with one entree and one dessert and a choice of two main courses. The chef seems to have just had a foam machine for his birthday as all the courses, including an amuse bouche, all featured foam. The salmon was good, though only supplemented by two thin carrots and a sauce. It was more like another entree. Dessert was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful. Be sure to book your parking, because the streets in the city were full.

Amazing hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless, and the attention to detail truly stood out. I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

We spent 2 great nights in this 21 bed boutique hotel. Its location in the very centre of this 70,000 population city means you are only 5 to 15 minutes walking from all sights to see. Diana and Marine on reception were excellent and very friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. Xian is their new 22 year old chef from Pau and the hotel has only just opened their restaurant for dinner 3 months ago- previously only a continental breakfast was served. A set menu of 2 courses at €39 or 3 at €49- his food was truly outstanding and very creative- we got 2 wonderful tasting Amuse-Bouche to start including forest mushrooms with forest moss emulsion, plus Langoustines with shellfish emulsion plus carrots 🥕 in various textures with pine needle beurre blanc, Duckling with beets in various textures plus blackberries, Pollock fillets on assorted eggplants, shellfish broth and lemongrass leaves finishing with Poached pears with Vervain, hot chocolate and geranium flowers to eat ! A truly delicious meal from such a young chef- the hotel is definitely making a statement about the level of food they want to offer. We will stay there next time in Pau. The hotel is a lovely older building that has been refurbished. Our room, bed, linen and shower were all excellent. There was some noise from the street but that quieted down after 10 PM. The reception was helpful. Our room had a kettle, which is still uncommon in France.

Very nice boutique hotel - a little bit dated in terms of the room decor - but the bed was comfortable (pillows could be improved though) and the bathroom was modern. The location is great, right in the centre of town, close to everything to see in Pau. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A charming hotel, beautiful style, right in the heart of of old Pau. Rooms are individually decorated, and very spacious. The staff are charming. We also had dinner, a 4 course set meal, which was truly superb. Each dish was carefully and thoughtfully crafted, I cannot recommend highly enough.

The hotel’s website (still) doesn’t mention that there’s a restaurant. But there is — and what a restaurant! During our first week in France, we searched for places to eat using the Michelin and Bib Gourmand apps. Not once that week did we have a meal as delicious and surprising as the one here! We also had a beautiful room and were welcomed by an incredibly enthusiastic receptionist. But remember this restaurant!!

What a charming hotel! The staff was so nice and helpful. My name on my parking spot was such a thoughtful touch. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The lounge was a great place for our family and friends to meet, have wine and treats. A very memorable experience.

Yelp
This is a interesting hotel. The owners are French with very limited English so it can be fun trying to get some questions answered. They are very nice though - and their son does speak English so of he is around then you are okay. The lift is small - and feels old - wish I'd taken a pic. My room was small but very clean and comfy and no noise at all. Breakfast was okay - nothing too exciting. Wifi was good - had no issues with speed or dropping signal. Hotel has a small parking area and is in a great location in the center of town. Will for sure stay here again one day.
