Hotel Bristol Salzburg

This is a beautiful hotel nicely located in a lovely location surrounded by gardens, shops and restaurants and a short walk from the best known, very busy shopping area. Our room was very quiet and very beautiful although a bit tight for two people with luggage. Excellent and comfortable king size bed. Bathroom was large and also beautiful. In the evening there is a bar with live piano music to enjoy. The breakfast was delicious. We Ubered there from the train station which cost about $12 dollars.

We stayed here for 9 nights. The hotel staff is extremely friendly; they go out of their way to help you in any matter you want. Any complaint we mentioned, it was solved ASAP. Receptionists were very welcoming, every day greeting us with a smile. Breakfast is really nice; the selection is pretty good. Rooms are cleaned very well. Location of the hotel is strategic and very convenient, as there are many restaurants and shops just a few steps away. Overall, an amazing experience.

The Bristol is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of the old town and a lot of the attractions in Salzburg. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful when we were there. The rooms were very nice - our room had a nice view of the Mirabel palace gardens. The selection for breakfast was excellent with lots of different choices to suit everyone. This was a great base to explore a very beautiful city. There was a great selection of restaurants in the surrounding area.

We loved this hotel…a very classic, elegant hotel in the middle of Salzburg, which is the perfect location. Our room was recently remodeled and was perfect. The breakfast had plenty to choose from and was very tasty. The staff were very attentive and professional. My only complaint is that when we checked in, I asked for the car to be valeted. While I was checking out three days later and settling up the tab, I noticed a small placard on the desk outlining three different valet options for different garages at varying rates. Our car was parked in the most expensive garage and we were never given the option at check-in to have it parked in a less expensive garage. I would have taken the least expensive option since we knew we weren’t using our car during our stay. I assume the less expensive options are father away making it take longer when you request your car. The staff printed us free tickets to us the mass transit system that worked great. We used them continually during our stay!

Loved our quick drop in at the Sketch bar and lounge in the evening. The drinks were amazing, the old British charm of the decor very lovely and the staff super kind. Also loved the fantastic fashion sketches in the bathroom! One should bring a phone down there really.|I only regretted that we were pressed for time and couldn't stay for dinner - and that our day trip attire was not really Bristol-worthy (for which I want to apologise to the staff). However, the whole staff treated us kindly and with respect - no questions asked about attire or that we were wet from the rain.

One of the two classic hotels in Salzburg. Old World Charm and beauty. Staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was in stunning dining room with excellent food. Rooms were huge, older but classy. Very accommodating and great location.

Very fun hotel with unique rooms. Right in the heart of salzburg with lots of food and shopping within a few blocks. Multiple parking options nearby varying in price from €20-€40 per day if you have a car. Valet is €60 per day which is quite high. In the rooms the bedding isnt great, with thin pillows, VERY small comforters, and somewhat firm beds. A/C does not go lower than 20C. The shower is very small and completely open to the bathroom. The blow dryer only worked sometimes. Breakfast is very average, and not much better than what you would find at a budget hotel in the united states. One evening i asked the front desk for extra water bottles and was told i would have to wait for the next morning’s maid service for the minibar to be refilled, or i could buy some bottles in the hotel bar, despite the fact that non-alcoholic beverages were supposed to be complimentary in the minibar. In general, much of the attention to detail and service you would expect at a 5 star hotel is lacking. Ultimately you stay at this hotel for the location, the history of the building, and the aesthetics. All of which are good, but this is not a 5 star hotel.

This review is for the Polo Lounge restaurant for lunch. It was a splurge for us and so worth it. The service was wonderful. A place for an unhurried lunch. The Bristol salad was gorgeous and delicious. We weren't staying at the hotel but we were very glad that we came for lunch.

Excellent hotel. Nice friending staff and comfortable rooms. Very well maintained and the location is great. Front desk staff is very helpful.

This place is 100% the place to stay. We used CV points so it was free...low expectations. We were greeted by very very friendly staff who went over things to do in the city and lots of info. AMAZING buffet breakfast...included! Free drinks in room and snacks. Housekeeping services offered twice a day... So kind. Great place to stay, we would stay again if we come back to Austria anytime soon.

Wow. Really Beautiful in an older antique way. The rooms are very large and include a adjoining sitting room. Each room has a TV. The bathroom has a tub and movable shower head. All the toiletries are provided. The room comes with 2 robes and house slippers. Our room had 2 balcony windows that open with a view on to the center street and next to the church. The bells ring daily at 7am so there is no need for a wake up call. Our breakfast was included and this was large and diverse. All different fresh breads. Eggs prepared any style, bacon, sausage, hash browns. There was a large selection of cheeses and fresh lox. There was yogurt and fresh fruit as cut vegetables as well. Lots of different juices, coffee and real Cream. Yummy!

Family visiting from Hawaii, California, and Arizona, USA. Went in for a brief moment while site seeing and seeing what we would like to eat since we had just finished the Sound of Music tour. Was welcomed in to use the rest room, but then the receptionist yelled at me only a few minutes later like I appeared out of nowhere. She said I must announce myself. I informed her I thought she would have remembered as I was just there and apologized...but for what was obviously her over site. When my family was done in the lobby it became clear that she had summoned the "butler" to make sure we kept moving. Very uncourteous and rude treatment from staff, would not recommend.

I can't say enough great things about our stay at Hotel Bristol. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our rooms were amazing and the breakfast was so good!! Thank you for making our visit to beautiful Salzburg even more memorable.

I was visiting Europe for the first time, was in great need of a restroom, stopped at this Hotel on August 12th around 4pm, the woman at the front desk refused to allow me to use the restroom,Must be my skin color was not as white as hers, I will never stay at this hotel even if I visited Salzburg again. What do you think? The tour guide later informed me that the staff is not allowed to refuse anyone use of the restrooms.I think the Manager needs to look into the poor service of this employee, I even snapped a photo of this rude woman,will use it on Facebook. I am in the service business, and if any of my employees ever treat any person this way will be terminated immediately!

We stayed at Hotel Bristol in November of 2016. We had a lovely room on the top floor overlooking the plaza with distant views of the mountains. Both the room and the bathroom were quite spacious. Bed was very comfortable (and we were very tired!) and we found the room to be perfect for our needs. The front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast room was beautiful, complete with crystal chandeliers. More importantly, breakfast buffet was excellent with a great selection of food plus the ability to special order egg dishes. We had dinner in the dining room one evening. Food was excellent and maitre d' made good recommendations for wine and entrees. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Awesome hotel. From the location, to the rooms, to the staff.. all fantastic. We will be back! I would highly recommend to anyone.
