What a gem situated just outside the busy San Marco area. Fantastic views of the sea from our room and the patio where we enjoyed a spritz daily. They had a lot of delicious offerings at breakfast including the best cappuccino in the city. The rooms were spacious, updated and clean. The overall standout was the staff, especially Luca, who went truly above and beyond for us each day. He even made reservations and suggestions prior to our arrival. This little hotel is the perfect place to relax.

We had an outstanding stay at Hotel Bucintoro. The location is simply perfect – right on the waterfront with breathtaking views over the lagoon and Venice’s skyline. Waking up to see the gondolas and boats passing by was unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a nautical style, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Everything felt thoughtful, from the little details in the design to the quality of the bedding. The staff made the experience even more special. They were warm, attentive, and always willing to help with directions, restaurant tips, or travel advice. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with a good choice to suit everyone.

Hotel was well located on the Grand Canal, away from the tourist throngs, but within walking distance to San Marco and close to a vaporetto stop. The room was comfortable and attractively furnished. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of delicious choices. ||However, the best thing about this place was the charming Stefano. He arranged our transfer from the cruise terminal and was most helpful with suggestions for restaurants and other activities. We would definitely return there.

This is a charming hotel located right on the main canal. Our room (405) was quite spacious with the bonus of a separate sitting room and windows opening directly on to the canal. The bed was comfortable, if a little firmer than we would normally prefer. The A/C worked well as did the internet. The bathroom was a good size, with a shower over a large tub. ||The location is ideal. On the edges of the main tourist area - just 10 minutes walk from San Marco square, and 1 minute from a vaporetto station, there were relatively few people on the footpath, so the hotel was very quiet. There are numerous shops and restaurants within very easy walk. ||The staff were very helpful - they organised our land/water taxi ride from the cruise terminal to the hotel - the boat docks right beside the hotel. ||The included breakfast was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at Bucintoro and recommend this hotel 400%. Stunning views, very confortable, warm atmosphere. Marco, Luca, Antony and all the staff are very nice and helpful. It’s our fifth time in Venice and maybe the best one. The hotel is not far at all from the center (6-7 min walk from Piazza San Marco) and having stayed in different hotels in the deep center, we appreciated the quietness of the Arsenal area. Thank you also to the two very kind and efficient women at breakfast time.

We are staying at Bucintoro for many years and its always such an amazing place to be. Very charming hotel, cozy design, great breakfast and view to lagoon from each room. Hotel stuff (personal thanks goes to Stefano!) - very friendly and always ready to help with all the bookings, transfers and information. Always unforgettable stay!

I stayed here for three nights in September, and the place left a very calm, almost homely impression. The hotel is small, but with character - it feels like every corner is thought out, nothing superfluous. We got a room with a view of the lagoon, and this is perhaps the main advantage. In the morning, you just open the window, and you can see the gondolas, the light on the water, and all that Venetian bustle, but without the crowd at the door. The interior is made with a ship theme, but not pretentiously - wood, brass, soft light, as if you were on an old liner, only without pitching. Everything is clear about the service. The staff is polite, not intrusive, they speak English calmly and without trying to push for additional services. The breakfasts are modest but delicious - fresh croissants, fruit, and really good coffee, not from the vending machine. However, the tables in the hall are cramped, especially when several couples are recruited at the same time. But the service is fast, and the feeling of fuss does not appear. The location is convenient - a quiet part of the embankment, ten minutes on foot to San Marco, while there is no feeling that you live in the midst of tourist chaos. In the evening, you can safely walk along the water, almost no one, and you can hear the waves slapping against the pier. There is no elevator, which can be inconvenient if your suitcase is heavier, but the staff helps without reminders. The room is clean, the linen is fresh, the air conditioner is quiet, nothing rattles or buzzes like in cheap hotels. The only thing that was a little confusing was that the walls weren't the thickest, and if the neighbors were loudly discussing plans, you could hear them. But, to be honest, it didn't bother, because the city gets tired in the evening, and you fall asleep quickly. The price per room is not low, but by the standards of Venice it is fully justified, especially with this view. The hotel is not about luxury, but about comfort, atmosphere and the feeling that you are not a guest, but a participant in an old sea voyage. I would have returned here without a doubt.

I can’t begin to say enough great things about Hotel Bucintoro and its incredible staff!! Especially Toni and Marco who were always there to greet you with a smile and great recommendations! They have someone at the front desk 24/7. Before we even arrived, the hotel staff assisted with so many of the logistics, including setting up a water taxi during the busy Venice film festival, as well as giving recommendations for amazing restaurants that we enjoyed during our time in Venice. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and treated very kindly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our 4 nights in Venice! The room and view were just as pictured and the water pressure in the waterfall shower was like no other I have ever experienced! The view of the water from our room was stunning and was easy to be dropped off and picked up by water taxi just next to the hotel! The breakfast buffet spread was always delicious (meats, cheeses, pastries, variety of fruits) including some hot breakfast options (eggs and bacon) and coffee/espresso as well. You also can’t beat the location! You are only 10 minutes from Saint Mark’s Square and all the action in that area. Also conveniently located a few minutes walk from a vaporetto stop. There is a very nice neighborhood that was perfect for an afternoon and evening when we wanted to escape the crowds just a few steps from the hotel in the opposite direction of St. Marks Square. We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an intimate experience with exceptional staff and a great location!

Yelp
Very friendly, cute, and the room and hotel had tons of character. The location of this hotel is ideal. You are close to the tourist locations on one side and to the other side, the locals. The views from the hotel are beautiful! The service was great- very helpful!

Yelp
This place was great. Super pricey but hey, When in Rome, right? My luggage got lost before arriving to the Venice airport and the people at the front desk were really friendly! They were calling for my suitcase at all hours of the day. As far as the rooms, beautiful and spacious compared to other hotels in Europe. I also loved that their are only....maybe 20 rooms? The staff makes an effort to get to know you because when you leave the hotel, you have to leave the key with them. Another thing about the rooms is that they have BEAUTIFUL views. Absolutely breathtaking. If I come back to Venice, I'll definitely come back to this place.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We stopped in Venice after visiting Paris and on our way to Florence/Tuscany. Admittedly, I take forever to book places, because I have to scout it out, read reviews, check maps, investigate pictures, etc - It's long, exhausting process and Venice was no different, all of the places we looked at had heavy floral drapes and over designed rooms - looked dark and musty. This place was/is incredible - so friendly, so authentic, but clean. We stayed on the top suite, it's almost designed like a fanciful oversized yacht, with maritime touches through out - but very tastefully, not themed. We walked through the hall, which was low lit, and to our door, you turn this skeleton style key with a huge tassel - the door opens and all I remember is the incredible palette of light - I was awestruck, I couldn't help but drop my bag and run to the window to look out. I will never forget the moment I opened the window and this punch of sea air swept in. It sounds crazy, but it was crazy, I immediately was transported into authentic Venice Italy.
