Hotel Budweis

We stayed at Hotel Budweis for one night recently when we were passing through Ceske Budejovice. I'm so glad we did! It was a great experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spacious, and also modern, with enough storage and seating.||Breakfast had lots of options, and it was tasty. The staff were so friendly and welcoming — always smiling and helpful with any requirements like recommendations or directions.||The hotel’s location was great for exploring the city, and we always felt safe walking around. Would definitely come back and recommend it to other families!

My first overnight stay of my long discovery journey in the Czech Republic started here. What a great hotel this is! The authentic appearance immediately made me feel welcome. The receptionist was very attentive and helpful. The room was neat, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was very good and extensive. The hotel is also well-suited for dining with excellent service. All in all, worth 5 stars!

he hotel is right on the edge of the old town, very accessible to the old town, but not to much else. It's a 20 minute walk from the train station, which was a bit much with suitcases over cobbled streets. I had a corner room on the thrid floor, very spacious, with closets, safe, kettle, desk and so on. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good.|The bathroom is nice and large, but the shower is in a very high bathtub which is actually not easy to get into, and I'm not a short person. The shower itself is hand-held, meaning that i had to hold it in my hand while showering, and while there was plenty of hot water, I could never get the temperature right.|Also, I was there in the winter. The temperature in the room was just a bit on the cool side, and the thermostat seems to be pre-set. Not cold enough that I complained about it.

We had been looking forward to coming to Hotel Budweis and reliving our honeymoon. we had, 11 months in advance, asked the hotel if we could have the same room as we had on our honeymoon, with the beautiful view and beautiful large windows where you could sit on the windowsill and look out at the river and the church. They confirmed this in June 2023 and wrote to us that they have booked that room for us. So we were somewhat disappointed when we get to the hotel after a 12 hour drive and find out they have given us another room. The receptionist tells us that they have given us a better room, but only after we point out that we have booked a different room than the one we have been given. But that was not what we experienced, the room was fine. but we could not see the view unless we stood in the smaller windows. The room we had booked has a bathtub, the room we got was without a bathtub. and we didn't have cold water in the tap. although we mentioned it several times, it was not done during our stay. We wrote an email to the hotel that we were sorry we hadn't got the booked room, but their reply was a standard reply that we had got a room in the same style and cathegory as the desired room, just on a different floor . We do not feel that our disappointment with our experience was heard. We are aware that the hotel has an operation that must be integrated into a higher unit. But we do not feel that Hotel Budweis handled our experience properly.

A beautiful building, very photogenic. In a great location, close to the main square and all the pubs, restaurants, coffee houses etc. The interior after sensitive renovation is very stylish, nice decorated and very clean. Rooms are spacious, modern decorated, various lights, enough sockets, big flat TV, fridge, safe. There is a bathtub/shower combo in the bathroom. All the staff is very kind and helpful. There is an amazing restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was great.

I regularly go to this hotel for business reasons. It's definitely past its best. The carpet is dirty and unkempt. It smells musty. The employees at breakfast are unmotivated. The chairs are worn and wobbly. Signs of decay and indifference can be seen everywhere. It's really very sad to see. The parking situation ist horrible. Current it is one of the most popular hotels due to the location. I expect that this hotel will soon be replaced by a better one. At least by me and my colleagues of the company.

This is the second time I stayed here. The first time was great, this was not a stay that mirrored the first. The room was not that clean, I could see dust on the curtains. The maid staff left cleaning products in my room and the vacuum cleaner was in the hall for 2 days. The breakfast service is just okay and I did not find staff friendly, but this might be due to a language barrier as I am English speaking. The most disappointing occurrence was theft of a cashmere sweater. It was in my room waiting to be packed , when I left for dinner. When I was gathering my things the next morning I realized it was missing. This was relayed to the front desk and I have heard nothing since. I was unable to connect to the WiFi in my room for the entire stay, the signal was too weak. My daughter lives in Ceske Budejovice , and it is a lovely town. I felt that the hotel might be struggling based on what I saw and that an item was stolen with no apologies from management.

Nice place just off the square rooms were good lots of space, fridge and safe in room The breakfast food was ok, self service usual continental choice and cooked eggs . shower was difficult to use and badly positioned also had packets of shower jell and shampoo which were impossible to open with wet hands
