My cousin and I stayed here in the winter and we loved it! The staff is very kind and helpful, the rooms are plenty spacious and the views are incredible. We could see Eiger right from our balcony. Would recommend!

We had an extremely comfortable stay here. Even though it’s a bit of a walk from the station (about 10 mins), it’s definitely doable and worth it for the pretty views of the mountain you get in the rooms/ at the gardens. Service is excellent and the staff were all very kind and welcoming to make our stay perfect. Breakfast spread was delicious, and they even packed the yummiest sandwiches and juice for us when we were checking out early.

We are travelers for many years and with a lot of experience booking hotels. And in all this time we have never written a negative review. This is the first time we have encountered this. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the hotel's services. The hotel plays with prices. We booked 2 rooms through Booking 4 months before the trip, one of the rooms was paid in advance. 2 months after payment, the hotel decided to raise the price of the room ( booking informed us about this and asked us to pay extra if we want to stay there, since this is a condition of the hotel ) , because for some reason it seemed to him that he had charged us little, although the cost of the rooms was quite high). Since this looked like blackmail and dishonest behavior by the hotel and there was no guarantee that they would not continue to increase the room rates, we refused. The room reservation was canceled and we were forced to look for new ones. I don't recommend this experience to anyone.

The Hotel Cabana is a small family-run business with something like twelve private suites. The location is several blocks (walkable for most people) from the Grindelwald train station, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. There is also a city bus line that you can jump on nearby. ||We stayed for six days and found something great to do every day. For just one example, Grindelwald First mountain top area (accessible from the cable car station in town) has some of the greatest Alpine views you will ever see.||All staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful, and communicated well in English. The continental-type breakfast (included) was of the highest quality. There was a self-serve honor-system fridge with beer, wine, and ice. And behind the hotel, the views of the valley, its traditional chalets, and The Eiger (!) were incomparable. Our suite was on the street side of the hotel, so we were not facing the Eiger, but we were able to sit on the lawn for that; and the mountain and sunset views on our connected deck would get five stars in most hotels!||In early September, we experienced high temps of roughly 80 degrees Farenheit in the area. There was no air conditioning in our room...but there was a good fan, and the evenings were cool. We were quite comfortable.||My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with our stay at the Cabana, and highly recommend it.

We had a great experience with Hotel Cabana. We booked two rooms with the hotel; both rooms were very clean. The whole service team is super friendly and the view is amazing!! We had such a great time there and will for sure come back.

I will say it’s my worst and most toxic experience during my whole trip. Objectively speaking the hotel has nice view, but what I have experienced almost got me PTSD. Your staff threatened me with calling the police, because one of your sunshades is broken even I claimed it was broken before. You were not communicating with us nicely (I will say terribly )from the beginning and made me call the police for a fairer explanation. I was there to enjoy my vacation, not to be blamed as a liar.

Wow! ||That really sums up our experience of staying at Hotel Cabana in one word. A lovely family-run hotel that is small enough to be super-friendly, without compromising on standards.||We had a spacious room with a balcony providing stunning views of the valley, and the Eiger. Chairs with warm rugs, and a table meant this was a comfortable place to sit and simply absorb those views which changed as the light shifted during the day.||Inside the spacious room, a small table and chairs made a thoughtful addition for those wishing to eat there. A fridge, a kettle, cups, glasses, bottle of water and complimentary bottle of red wine from the hosts on arrival all helped to make this feel like home for the two weeks we were there.||There was always ample hot water and as well as replenishing the tea/coffee when the room was cleaned daily, there was an additional selection box of teas at reception from which guests could select at any time. ||||The breakfast buffet was delicious, and although there are no evening meals served here, the hosts were more than happy to book restaurant tables or taxis on our behalf. They also helped to identify useful contacts for activities in the valley.||||A ski room with heaters, meant our wet gear was dry and warm for the next day. And, although we didnt use them, we noted that a small lounge area (with drinks and snacks to purchase), a sauna and a fitness area were also available.||||We had the most wonderful stay and would highly recommend Hotel Cabana

It was a place of relaxation. Coming from London and Paris, we really needed to just sit back and relax and it did its job. It was clean, quiet, and the view was amazing. Also, even when we were checking out, the receptionist made accommodations for us. Thank you Stefanie :) Not if but when we go back to Switzerland, we will definitely book a room here. We were worried about the view due to the rain but because of the rain, we were able to see double rainbows!
