Stayed here as part of our Antarctica tour. It's a solid 4 stars for me. It's beautiful, centrally located and the staff is helpful and friendly. They also have a nice bar and serve delicious pisco sours. The beds are nice and soft, but the included shampoo, conditioner and body wash didn't feel like they were very good quality. Some of the rooms are definitely better than others, though and their breakfast is just ok.
When we arrived, the check in process was easy. Their restaurant and bar is swanky and modern. I like the interior design. We got into the elevators and they were a bit small and dated. Our first set of rooms at this hotel were great! They had views of the square and the main city. It was beautiful! We cracked the window to get some cool air moving through the room. I like beds soft like this and so the beds were great for me, but I can see how they wouldn't be everyone's favorite. I liked the big showers and the water pressure was awesome. There was also quite a bit of counter space and they have those magnifying mirrors in the bathroom too.
On our second time staying here (after Antarctica), we were given junk rooms facing the construction of another building. The room itself I think was smaller too, and had a slightly different layout.
Breakfast included juices, cereal, breads and pastry, deli meats and cheese, fruit and scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. It was good, but I just felt like it was missing something.
We walked around the city a couple times from the hotel. It's really steps away from lots of restaurants and old buildings. I recommend visiting the fish market for a lunch of freshly fried fish. We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel, but plenty of people did.
