Hôtel Cailler, Charmey en Gruyère

Thermal baths were amazing, the room was charming, the breakfast was lavish, and one of our best dinners from our trip was at the hotel restaurant - and it was also one of our cheaper meals! Did I mention the thermal baths were amazing?? 5 stars! Fantastique!

Pretty basic hotel with very basic service. Rooms were noisy because of kids and teenagers playing. Food is above average and their Windows could also be cleaned! You have access to some public baths next door which are generally quite crowded.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The location is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and professional. The baths were incredible. The rooms are pretty, cozy and classy. Definitely recommend this place!

Very clean rooms. Conveniently connected to the thermal baths. Exceptionally clean bathing experience. Food didn't disappoint. Breakfast is for those who don't mind putting on some extra kilos, delicious flowing pure chocolate to add to your croissants.

This is a true 4-star hotel. We stayed at the junior suite which was the only room available because we dropped by spontaneously after a long afternoon in the baths. The receptionist was extremely willing to accommodate our requests and he literally saved the day, as we were given a table at the hotel restaurant without reservation just before closing time. The room was fantastic with a view to the mountains and very clean. I highly recommend having the breakfast served in the room by the room service for a small extra charge. Overall perfect experience, especially for pairs.

Breathtaking views and phenomenal service, what more could you ask for? How about amazing food at the restaurant and an included breakfast buffet with Cailler chocolate and a honeycomb for local honey. The room was beyond what I could have hoped for including a hidden little room for my kids to play in. The overall experience was amazing! ONE BIT OF CAUTION: There is no A/C in the rooms. They do provide a fan but hot summer nights will be rough.

Clean hotel close to the charmey public baths, which are spacious, but average for a spa experience.|In the restaurant you may order a la carte, or compose your food on the buffet. Watch out that you do not taste from your partners’ dishes from the buffet, you might get intercepted by the head waiter informing you about an extra charge he must apply. Insulting and unprofessional service. Overall 5 star pricing for 4 star amenities. Govto the swiss german hotel -spas for a better experience.

Nice hotel, nice views etc... *BUT* 17 francs for two pieces of salade in the lobby is too much, even for swiss finest standards. Asked Eugene (waiter) and not even bother checking if it was the right plate. Anyway they will have a mass amount of clients, but the're ruinning swiss reputation.
