Hôtel Cailler, Charmey en Gruyère

Absolutely loved this hotel! Lovely room which was clean and modern. They were very dog friendly and allowed our dog into the restaurant. The breakfast was good, however as vegans there wasn’t much choice for us. We had emailed ahead and hoped there would be some soya yoghurt or something. However, we were happy with fruit and toast. The coffee was also great! ||Enjoyed the pool and walks from the hotel were lovely. The hotel is in a very lovely location with great views

We went a few times in this hotel to enjoy the baths, pools and amenities. We loved this place situated in the mountains. But, our last experience was tinted by a judgemental and harsh situation. We were at breakfast and we asked for vegetal milk. Usually there was some. This day we were told there wasn’t. That’s fine one of us went out to buy some. I stayed just to hear the Chef of the restaurant making fun on us with other people from the village. It seems that in 2025 in a 4 stars hotel people don’t get that you prefer vegetal based milk. Ok. Then it seem it wasn’t enough for them so they continue talking loudly at the bar of the restaurant about us with the chef. I stood up and went to ask them what was so funny about our situation. Of course the felt bad and the chef went on about the price of vegetal milk and how nobody but us asked for it ever (?!). At the end we got apologies from the rest of the team. This is a détail but it’s important for its symbolic. This place needs a big update, there is no plant based meal on the menu. Not even one. And they treat badly people asking nicely about the possibility is one. We are in 2025 and if your diet is plant based or vegetarian, for any reason, it has to be at least respected in a hotel. I hope this will change as the place is really nice.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Callier. Beautiful surroundings, great room, lovely spa, fantastic food at the “4 Saisons” and best of all: exceptional service from every member of the staff we met. Such a pleasant experience. A big thank you especially to Micaela at the front desk who provided truly exceptional service. She’s a gem, just like the hotel 😊

YOU WILL NEVER EVER FORGET YOUR TIME IN THIS HOTEL ! The bathing and sauna area will help you to relax even more.... Great food but Rude and arrogant waiters in the restaurant,

It was a fantastic experience, which I plan to repeat. The spa is very complete. What I enjoyed most was the experience of the ritual at Hamama with my daughter. Ideal for going with your couple, for mother-daughter weekend or with friends.

The staff was very friendly and accommodated all requests. The room was very clean and very well equipped. Overall, the room was spacious and exactly as pictured. I will definitely return to the hotel.

Damn, I am a fan of this place. I was lucky enough to get to stay at this beautiful hotel for a week. It's nestled in the mountain of the French Speaking part of Switzerland. It's absolutely gorgeous. My room was well appointed, large, and had a view of the mountains. This hotel is associated with the Swiss chocolate brand, Cailler. They have baskets of high quality chocolate in the hotel so you'll definitely find yourself snacking on some good chocolate. The restaurant here was fabulous too. I basically had gourmet lunches and dinners for my stay. I believe the restaurant was a Michelin rated restaurant as well. I hope to come back here one day in the future.

Food is absolutely delicious, pretty pricy but gorgeous view that makes it totally worth it. I recommend the burger and any desert on the menu as they specialize in patisserie
