Very friendly staff, David the bartender is exeptionaly good person and a professional, girls from the reception are always willing to help out, good kitchen, everyone speak decent English - it's a bargain for Your money. The only thing is that rooms need renovation (carpets and wallpaper - better have laminated floor and painted walls instead), but they are already making some improvements room-by-room. Thank You and good bye! 😁👍

Let's start on the bright side: the staff was very nice and helpful and the sheets and towels, even though worn out, were clean. Breakfast was good. I wanted to eat scrambled eggs, so they prepared it fresh, hot and tasty for me - they had a small, open kitchen on view to folks, just check out one of the uploaded pics, it was really cool. As for the whole place, it really needed a heavy refurbishment. Check out pics attached to this review to see it for yourself. Wallpapers were peeling off the walls but most of all, windows were drafty which was a real problem during the cold weather. And they didn't even provide a kettle in the room, so you wouldn't be able to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee to warm yourself up. There were just two bottles of water, without bottle opener though, so they were pretty much useless. I mean, I've seen worse places but not as pricey as this one and not advertised as "three star hotel." Three stars would be honestly too much, hence two from me.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and friendly|Excellent location, about 2 blocks from the old City, which is delightful to stroll about. But going the direction away from the old City is a small restaurant with the best pieogi, and further in a lovely cafe restaurant|Great rooms, comfy. Quiet. Second floor I think is better than the third floor.|Very good breakfast , lots of variety.|Nice people staying at the hotel

It's good. I usually stay at the Europa which is very good but it was full on my arrival in Kalisz so they sent me to this place just around the corner. ||It presents well from the outside, my room was clean....floors squeaked something awful(you have to stay there to know what I mean),,,,,breakfast was reasonable.||There was a cigarette burn on one of the chairs in the room but aside from that I had no real complaints. Wifi worked well and the cleaning staff were efficient.||I would rate it 3 and a half stars but have rounded it up here. It certainly falls behind the Europa in standards for similar money but I think most people will be satisfied staying here. One thing it has got going for it is on site parking which the Europa has not.

We had excellent service at the Hotel Calisia. The staff were obliging and flexible (eg letting us borrow knives forks spoons and plates to self-cater in our room), the room was clean (with self-catering facilities, the decor was magnificent, the buffet style breakfast was wide-ranging and they were even able and willing to cater for our Gluten free (and vegetarian) diets, given a bit of notice.||||My wife and I stayed there with our son who has special needs. Everyone was charming. It is not a Hotel with lots of Children's activities in, but everyone was very tolerant of ours just being himself in the public areas.||||We seemed to be almost on our own in the Hotel and on one Friday which was a Public Religious Holiday in Poland - they basically kept the hotel open just for us. They just came to our room and said "We are doing breakfast just for you tomorrow - what would you like?"||||The value you get coming from the UK and staying in Poland is astonishing. We were paying about what we'd pay for a two star hotel in England and getting a hotel that seemed more like a four or five star hotel in Poland.||||The receptionists all spoke fluent English (great for advice and directions) and the rest of the staff could cope with out English.||||We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay there.

The hotel located 10-minutes walk from old town, but the best years of this hotel have already past. The room and its equipment is already "broken the tooth of time", the floor creaks, even though you can get some sleep. Tasty breakfast, scrambled eggs, fried eggs or an omelet made on order next to your table.

For a regular rate I would consider Calisia hotel a bit overpriced. However, I was lucky enough to get a bargain rate so in fairness I am inclined to rate it somewhere between good and very good. What I liked most is that for breakfast you can have an omelette, scrambled eggs etc. made right in front of you.
