We stayed here for two nights and it was a great stay. The rooms (sea view) were great size and good amenities. The towels quality could be improved but we managed... The location was perfect, close to all restaurants and the view was lovely. Breakfast was great on both days. The staff were all super helpful and kind but shout out to Lolly who was so welcoming, warm and friendly. The check in time at 3pm is slightly late and you have to wait, but apart from that no faults :)

Nice welcoming lobby and staff who greets all the time. The elevatots were very slow and you had to wait some time to catch one. The hotelroom was very big and was nice to have a lot of space! The windowcurtains and showercurtain had some dirty spots on them, but everything else felt clean. The beds were very hard and not so comfortable... We also asked for separate covers to the bed in the reception and they forgot to give us that, but we got it eventually. The AC wasn't the best but works okey. The rooftop had some sunbeds but could have had more with the space they have, so more people could have enjoyed. The pool was pretty okey but very shallow at most and the floor was coming lose in some places. The bar was good and served very nice drinks! The breakfast was okey but not very much choices and it were very hard-boiled eggs and the cucumbers dry..|Overall an average hotel, but im guessing the 4 stars..

Jet2 may wish to conduct an inspection of this hotel, and reconsider its rating. On arrival at midnight (approximately expected time) nothing to eat or drink was available except grossly overpriced items from machines, not even including sandwiches. Nothing in the fridge. The room was acceptable and clean, albeit tired, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom basin plug never worked properly, even after a sort of repair after it had failed altogether. The bathroom was clean, but the bath was stained, and part of it was slippery. The surrounding beading was done to a standard which as an amateur diy-er I would have been ashamed of. The internet in room 515 never worked during our entire 9 day stay ( the notional 10 days advertised was meaningless since we departed at 8am on the 10th day): to achieve Wi-Fi connection for mobiles or iPads necessitated going to the transmitters at the end of the corridors or downstairs. The breakfasts were the same every day, with only supermarket quality sliced breads, always the same two types of rolls, cheap pot yogurts (the real yogurt was good), v. dry croissants, the eggs were always scrambled or hard-boiled, the three kinds of cold meats and one kind of cheese were of the cheapest quality, coffee from the machines was poor, the fruit was always the same etc. We ate in the rooftop restaurant once: very poor beef, an unidentifiable sauce with the swordfish, and a supermarket quality dessert. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night; fortunately we were b and b only. On the positive side, the air con worked and we liked the overhead fan. The location and view from the hotel are excellent, the cleaning of the room was daily, and the staff generally were friendly, although unable to do anything about the internet, or to replace the basin plug.

Hotel Calypso is perfectly located on the harbor and next to a small beach. It is also within walking distance to many shops and very good restaurants. Our standard room was spacious and clean with plenty of room for storage and with comfortable bed and pillows. The only complaint I have about the room is there there are no power outlets or USB ports next to the beds for charging devices, which I feel that in this day and age is a must. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooftop has a restaurant and bar, and a lovely pool area with a terrace that has beautiful sweeping views of the sea. I recommend coming for happy hour when they have very reasonably priced cocktails and other alcoholic drinks. The breakfast has a good cold and hot selection with ample seating and very responsive staff, immediately clearing the tables. Overall, I do recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Gozo.

The staff were generally very courteous and helpful. The hotel check-in time is at 3pm sharp, which is slightly on the later side. I arrived there around 20 minutes earlier and was told that the room assignments were still not ready. I opted to leave the luggage at the reception to go for a walk in the meantime. I was informed that the luggage room was full, but after a bit of persuasion, I was given the option to leave the small luggage behind reception. The alternative that had been initially offered was to leave the luggage under a staircase by reception without any form of supervision. The sea view room itself was clean and well maintained. The decor was slightly dated, but the wooden furniture gave the place a quaint Mediterranean vibe, which added to the charm. The en suite, however, could do with some updating. The room, the rooftop terrace, and even the breakfast area all had beautiful sweeping views of the sea. The breakfast had a good cold and hot selection with ample seating and very responsive staff, immediately clearing the tables. There is no parking included with the reservation, given the hotel is in a pedestrian area. That said, there is a spacious free public car park a few streets away. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would be very happy to be back.

I read some reviews before coming here that really put me off but our experience has been really positive.|The hotel has been great and very central to get around. We've had great customer service, from reception to maids, to the hotel bar.|Breakfast was lovely and a great start to our day.|The pool is small but I think most people enjoy the sea anyway.|We've never been to the area before but would definitely come back. Marsalforn has loads to offer

Hotel has a brilliant summer spot location. We found it to be clean but dated. Definitely needs more electrical sockets in the room only 2 present and nowhere close to the bed. The lifts are ultra slow and always mega busy too however, for it's price It's definitely recommended

There was a fridge, a safe, a small balcony and there was also a really cool pool! But the pool was a little bit dirty. The staff were very nice in this hotel. The place is very clean. The rooms are very luxurious. I would go again and recommend it to my family and friends!
