We stayed here a few nights during our trip trough Colombia.||||Our room was located at the front of the hotel but sound insulation was good. almost no noise from the street.||||Room was of a nice size. Bathroom was of decent size.||Location is very good near the central square and city center part of this little city.||||Breakfast was good.

This hotel is located in the colonial city centre of the town , which is very convenient, because everything is at walking distance. The hotel is small , but very cute and traditional. The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and big with their own balcony and the food is AMAZING!! By far the best restaurant in Popayan. I really recommend a stay here in this nice family hotel 😊

A nice hotel in the heart of the old colonial city of Popayan, Colombia. The rooms are spacious, though a bit|dark inside (not their fault, this is an old colonial convent turned into a hotel). The breakfast is just|average, which is one of my main reasons for the average rating. The bathrooms needed to have|more barns and handles for towels, etc. Finally, the queen size beds are nice but the seamstress are a bit\hard, no doubt by choice. Location is excellent, near Plaza de Caldas, the heart of the colonial city, close to all museums. (Note: We prefer the nearby Hotel La Plazuela, also in an old colonial building, but somehow a bit more welcoming).

Excellent service, great bed, cleanliness, free parking, and location. Only points to mention is the room and bathroom especially is a little outdated but works since it is the style of the place. Balcony is basically a window which barely opens. Breakfast does not match the restaurant could be much better, it was ok but very average.

This is a very nice hotel, I had a beautiful big room, big bathroom with bathtub, desk, few seats with a table, big very comfy bed (great mattress) an everything looked very well maintained and clean. The hotel is in the middle of the city looking out over Parque Francisco José de Caldas from a corner. The only downside is the limited isolation of noise. Streetlife starts at around 6 am and you won't be able to sleep past that.

It is a unique and very special small family hotel right in middle of the center of old colonial Popayan. The moment you enter the hotel you get a sense of history. The building was a monastery built in the 16th century. In 1983, the building had to go an extensive reconstruction following a severe earthquake, which destroyed the tower of the building, luckily without any body damage. When we arrived, they put us in a very nice and large room point toward the central square of Popayan. As this room was very noisy, they gave us an inside room which was smaller and quiet. |The best part in this hotel is the beautiful eclectic decoration from last two centuries, which gives a feeling of living in another era. We just love it. |Breakfast was basic, but all stuff was extremely welcoming, and they served us other things than their regular fixed breakfast (eggs, delicious fruits and bread) after asking. |We stayed in the hotel for 3 days in October. Two of these days were weekend - holiday days when all the shops in center are close, and only in our last day, we had the chance to experience the amazingly colorful ordinary weekday in old center of Popayan. This city center has been active for periods of ups and downs during more than four centuries. Don't miss it! The hotel is located just in the middle of all the happening. Therefore, if you prepared to give up some luxury of modern high-class hotel for a very special atmosphere, we very highly recommend it.|

The hotel is good for one night stay....and we made the mistake to get frozen by staying 2 nights here.|Positive: very clean, some rooms are nice, colonial building.|Negative: in the fotos the hotel seems better than in the reality. Some rooms are really small and because I've insisted I get a large room. During the night in the room is getting very cold, they said they couldn't offer some warm water for preparing a tea, the water from the shower is almost cold...so there is no way to warm just to sleep (and forget where you are). The breakfast is basic (basic coffee, juice, eggs, bread). In the first day we received also butter and jam, in the second they didn't offer these.

Bed comfortable, staff helpful. If there on weekends, get a room away from street as the night clubs across the street play until 2-3am. Good shower and hot water. Had small refrigerator but no safe.
