Hotel Camiral

A wonderful retreat about an hour north of Barcelona. This is an excellent place to be active (yoga, tennis, golf, etc. are at your fingertips), eat well and relax. The spa and tech/wellness treatments are high quality and effective; the staff is very caring and friendly. The concierge staff here is very responsive via WhatsApp and in person. I highly recommend the hotel itself. Also, if you can spare a day and like history, Girona is about 15 minutes by taxi and worth a visit.

We stayed a group of 6 at the resort for 5 nights in October 2025. The golf was great and the courses well maintained. The hotel was far from meeting our expectations. Its overpriced compared with what you get. Average service and food. On top of that we received horrible service when it came to our itinerary - the concierge told the group that we were unable to play the last day, as we needed 4hours to get to the airport due to traffic. This resulted in us missing our 8am tee times. We assumed that we would get the green fees dropped or at least discounted, but they did not accommodate that wish. We gave notice the day before, or as soon as the concierge shared this information. End result was EUR 800 we needed pay and it ended up taking 1.5 hours to the airport - meaning, we could have easily played. |The staff is very in-personal and it feels like you are dealing with a corporation rather than a service minded hotel. Not staying there again.

For a 5 star hotel it did not meet our expectations. We chose this hotel because I had recently undergone major surgery and noticed it offered a wellness and recovery package. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told it was fully booked and that it must be reserved a week in advance. We completely understand that August is a very busy time, but as this was one of the main reasons we booked, it would have been really helpful if this had been made clearer beforehand. If you are booking with this in mind then make sure there is availability before. Room service was not quite at the level we expected for a five-star hotel. The beef was bad quality and not worth the price and the pasta had a very strong fish taste. We also experienced an issue with the shower, which did not drain properly and caused water to overflow onto the bathroom floor. That said, the staff in the restaurant, housekeeping, and by the pool were lovely, and breakfast was excellent quality.

We stayed at Hotel Camiral for four nights and had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, the balcony had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. We had a bed and breakfast package, the breakfast was delicious and covered anything you could want. We also ate at the Lounge Bar for lunch and dinner at the hotel as well as at Bellas at the Lavidas hotel also on resort. The golf on resort was fantastic and my wife and daughter enjoyed lazy days around the pool. We also tried Padel as a family for the first time which was great fun. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The only issue we encountered was there did not seem to be enough sun loungers on the weekend and they also ran out of towels around the pool. The hotel was a €35 taxi ride to Girona which is definitely worth a visit with some great authentic restaurants.

This is our second time staying at this friendly hotel, an overnight stay during our trip from Switzerland to Spain and back. This time, we enjoyed the Camiral Suite. It's a large, elegant two-room suite with an exquisit design, a comfortable bed, a large balcony, and complimentary drinks in the minibar. Safe, secure parking and quiet nighttime are very important to us. We got that. Dinner at the restaurant Origin was simply phenomenal! A fabulous breakfast, a beautiful outdoor pool, well-maintained landscaping, friendly staff: We really enjoyed it. What we didn't like: We waited a very long time for our Negroni cocktails at the bar; they weren't to our taste. There's no way to access the spa area without a reserved massage or other treatments. Overall, my husband and I are very happy with this hotel and will definitely return.

This is truly an excellent golfing resort, backed up with excellent hotel, spa and fitness facilities. Quality of service across the whole facility was first class. One of the best we have visited and look forward to returning in the future. Guests should note that the location of the facility is a little remote - taxis are available to Girona and other area of interest. Near the airport.

The Camiral, Home to the Ryder Cup 2031. Hotel was wonderful, beautiful rooms, breakfast was very nice...Staff was excellent and friendly, Location just about 1 hr outside of Barcelona, very easy to get to. If you are thinking about golfing in Spain, this Hotel and Courses are a must!

Had a really fantastic stay at the Camiral with our teenage son and toy poodle. Beautiful hotel with relaxed atmosphere. Nicely appointed rooms and facilities. Pool was just the right temperature. Great selection at breakfast, a lounge bar with tapas and bistro food were all great. Super helpful that our dog was welcome to sit outside at restaurants and staff always gave her a fresh bowl of water without being asked. |Our son played golf and said the facilities were super. A round came with a buggy for the day. |Will definitely come back.
