Hotel Capo San Vito (San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set right where the town meets the end of the beach at Capo San Vito, in Sicily’s far northwest, this is an unusually luxurious and surprisingly sophisticated boutique hotel. The rooms combine urban design-hotel style and comforts with views of either the beach or the town’s historic center. There’s an impressive spa and fitness center as well as a restaurant serving Sicilian fare crafted from local ingredients, many grown on the hotel’s own farm; dinner is served in the dining room, in the garden, or at the Cous Cosu Cafe, the hotel’s beachfront bar." - Tablet Hotels

Beautiful location with incredible amenities. The location is right on the beach with chairs and an umbrella you can rent and it is in the heart of town allowing you to walk everywhere! The staff is incredible and extremely helpful. We had a pleasant experience with the manager of reception who spent extra time helping us out through the language barrier!

Nice hotel, way overpriced for what it offers. The rooms are fine, and the location is great (beachfront). The amenities are good, but everything is an additional fee. It doesn’t match the outrageous prices.

We are staying at the Hotel Capo San Vito, visiting from the U.S., and have been throughly impressed by the location directly on the beach and next to the main strip, the modern and updated quality of the rooms, and the warm attentive staff throughout the property - from the front desk, to the bar, to the spa. Veronica at the spa was among the best masseuses we’ve had in a long while, as good (or better) than what you would find at a 5 star luxury hotel experience anywhere. The property has definitely surpassed our expectations. This is where you want to stay in San Vito Lo Capo.

It is difficult to understand how this hotel could possibly be rated 4 star.||It is as close to the beach as it is possible to get, although you will share the beach with a gazillion other people in the summer, and there is some interesting decor and artwork, but …||Making a reservation in advance was tedious. They wouldn’t take a credit card and we had to arrange a bank transfer for the deposit and then send (separately to the money) evidence of the transaction etc, and wait until the transaction had been confirmed. This required considerable to-ing and fro-ing by email to secure the reservation. And then when we arrived and were being shown around the hotel, to be informed that it would be 3 euros if we wanted fresh beach towels was a bit insulting.||Our room was OK, but generally the furniture and fittings were tired and rundown. The bed and pillows were extremely hard. The ceiling had mould marks in a couple of places where it appeared to have leaked. The shower recess leaked. The shower rose leaked and had rust stains on it. The shower drain was slow - although they did fix that when we mentioned it. Cleaning wasn’t great - there was sand in the corners of the shower recess and various splash marks on the bathroom tiles for the duration of our stay. They were never cleaned off. Drinking water was not replenished each day. Wi-Fi wasn’t too bad but it was intermittent. I turned it off when streaming because it caused too much buffering to watch a movie.||Noise was a real problem. Our room - on the north side of the hotel with a balcony and overlooking the beach - was extremely noisy. The neighbouring restaurants below played very loud door-doof music for much of the time. It was so loud that it penetrated the glass balcony door even when closed. In addition, there was noise from trucks that emptied the restaurant bins and frequent loud crashing sounds as glass was emptied into the bins by the restaurants. And the truck that swept the beach each morning started before it was even light. In addition, the balcony was unpleasant during the evening because of the strong restaurant kitchen exhaust fumes.||The buffet breakfast offered a reasonable choice, and was OK for dinner - but I was appalled that street cats wandered at will through the restaurant, garden and bar area. ||There is no laundry service.

I have to start off by saying that the staff there is amazing. They are welcoming and friendly.. especially Agnes. The only reason I stayed here is because the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach and the amenities are wonderful. The rooms were fantastic and I would definitely stay here again!! Such an amazing experience to stay here. I would highly recommend this hotel! It is clean, modern and well kept. Definitely a 5 star experience! Thank you for making my stay perfect!!!

Very poor value. I think we paid about £220 per night out of season. It is very close to the beach - you can walk out of the hotel and on to the beach - but the hotel has few other positives. It is much smaller than the photos lead me to believe. There is no gym or exercise area, no swimming pool, no communal areas other than a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are very badly designed - only one plug and none beside the bed. The wardrobe is one corner of the room which means it's very awkward if two people are trying to get ready at the same time. I get that is a first-world problem - but I'm reviewing an expensive first-world hotel. We had to ask for an iron - which turned out to be the hotel's only one. So early the next day (a Saturday) we got called on our hotel room phone to ask for it back. There was no ironing board, we got told to iron clothes on the bed. Breakfast is just about OK.

1 star hotel at a 4 star price. The place is dirty, their website photos aren't recent and the manager is extremely rude. They will nickel and dime you for any normal requests a 4 star hotel would offer for free. Even then, if you happen to arrive when the female manager is on, even normal requests will be denied (no help with luggage even if you offer a large tip). If you get a filthy room, they'll let you change rooms, for a fee. In short, if you are looking to spend all of your money on a hotel that will make you wish you had just slept on the street, this is the place for you!

This review is so controversial, because the hotel has extreme positives and negatives. We stayed in a junior suite (440€/night). So the positive things: 1. Perfect location, you can reach everywhere by walking. 2. Direct access to the beach (although it’s not private, but near). 3. Friendly reception and bar staff. 4. Good Cleaning service. The negatives: 1. Price doesn’t match the provided services, for example, although the staff are friendly but they lack experience, which was obvious to most of the customers. 2. At a 4-stars hotel, you expect either a wide variety breakfast buffet or personalized menu, here you will find none, in contrast, if you ask for an omelet, you will be charged extra! 3. Expect every single service with extra charges, for example: beach access with fees (acceptable), but to be charged for the use of towels, this was awkward. 4. Bathroom & Terrace needed maintenance. 5. Limited bar services, we’ve had cocktails everyday, but haven’t provided complementaries: chips, nuts etc! Overall, it was a nice stay, but it matched more a 3-stars hotel.
