Hotel Caprice Grindelwald

This 3 star hotel has the level of a 4 star hotel. It’s really nice little boutique hotel, incredibly well located in Grindelwald in front of the train station (with zero impact from it including the noise or the crowds as it’s on a secluded location) and only a few minutes walk from all the shops. The Eiger view room is really nice and spacious, renovated and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast every morning served by a very amicable and polite staff. The spa, to die for!! We loved it and highly recommend this place! It’s Amazing!!

Everyone in the hotel is friendly and helpful. Room is nice and quiet. I liked having shelves and hangers for our clothes, a long ledge in the bathroom to place our toiletries, and they give you a large container of cold water daily. Close to the terminal, almost behind The Derby, but hotel is up a big hill. The bus station is across the street (3 bus lines are free when staying here). I asked for a dan and hard pillows and received it quickly. Only negative for us is the big hill to walk to the hotel, but a big positive is it is very quiet since it is not on the main road.

Hotel is halfway on a hill, just behind/beside the final Grindewald train station. Was in a superior room that has a garden and direct mountain view. Hotel provides not much room amenities but good enough for a basic stay. Would be good if the windows come with mosquito nets as rooms do not hv air-conditioning and will need to open the windows to let the cool air in. But along with open windows will hv insects accompaniments as well, especially in summer. A lot of info on the day and recommendations on what to do along with weather info. Great service. Hospitable staff. Overall an awesome stay. No regrets.

This hotel is definitely a lovely one because of the clean room and excellent location. It's just behind the train station and owner could provide you a ride to the hotel directly. The service is superb as well! Very warm and welcoming team. Good breakfast with view and wide variety. If you need hot water, slippers etc- just call! It's better to book via their website, the price is better and you might have a chance to get upgraded! Thanks again, I enjoyed the stay indeed.

Our family of four spent a few nights here. This hotel is amazing. Rustic, cozy with a modern touch. Very close to the public transport station and few minutes walk to the First Gondola. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Restaurant views are epic!! One who loves carpentry will really appreciate the craftsmanship of this place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will return. Thank you Mr and Mrs Glarner and family for a wonder time.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights booking 2 rooms last December. We arrived early and was told that the room were not ready. So we parked our car at the back of their property. Parking spaces were limited, be sure to prebook with them in advance. This boutique hotel was pretty charming and has views overlooking the mountain and the city. The hotel do not have lift so you have to take your luggage to the room by yourself. It is also located near to the Grindewald train station, very convenient for those who want to hit the mountain early. ||The room itself was pretty basic, clean and comfortable, with a small balcony. The bathroom was a little bit small but manageable. The breakfast spread was good, with the essential eggs, bread, fruits, milk, coffee. There are two areas that we think might improve the overall enjoyment for future guests. We found that the people who run the breakfast (I guess maybe the owner) was a little cold and did not put a smile on their faces. The two nights that we were there, the people downstair (i guess maybe the owner) were very loud talking and laughing until pretty late at night. ||We also booked for their outdoor hot bath, and it was an experience in itself. However, the area for the outdoor hot bath was not secluded and thus lacked privacy. The lady (also the reception and the breakfast runner too) who helped us set up the outdoor bath was really helpful, nice and engaging. She was a star.||Overall, it was a great value staying at this property. Keep up the good work.

Very good hotel we never live before, hotel host is very kindly and patient to explain everything you will meet in Grindelwald, even we from Asian Hotel have good view can easier to see Eiger horn , you can relax and stay in room too see every beautiful view in the Grindelwald

Very lovely host Alexander & Regula! Picking us up from the train station on snowy day when we arrived. The host Alexander even help booked for paragliding for us as we’re traveling from overseas so we couldn’t make any local phone calls. Great Swiss hospitality :) Plus, the hotel has sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi for you to relax after a long day
