Hotel Carlshamn

I come here for a game event. On the end of May I stay there for 3 nights. There is an old lady work in reception is very friendly and helps me a lot. She also introduce me local life and situation. Many thanks to these kind people! The breakfast is also very good. This hotel and town leave me great impression.

A great hotel in Karlshamn. The food and breakfast is really great and if you are going to Karlshamn, this is the place to visit. ||The hotel has a vibe and all the personal really gives the little extra to make you feel welcome. ||We had a room with a balcony and to wake up with the sun shining in the room and see the sea was a nice start of the morning.

A friendly large hotel on the harbour side. Good breakfast. Parking is a bit tight outside the entrance but there is also some roadside parking.

I come to Karlsham every summer for a few weeks. Last night was the yearly festival so lots of people, music and walking. Had a great all you can eat buffet on the patio. Great service, food. Right in the heart of the city. Have never stayed in a room here. Nice Scandinavian style lobby.

The hotel is in the process of renovating its rooms. For anyone staying in a renovated room I can imagine a 5/5 experience. I, however, can only rate the room I received. The hotel itself is very nice. Great lobby, great style. Old, but glass elevator going up in the roofed inner courtyard of lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast buffet was great too. The location is right at the pier, walking distance to anything important in Karlshamn. The problem was the room. I was on a special rate due to attending the conference. Special rate really meant though that we got an old, unrenovated room. Very worn down. Stains on the wall, mold in the shower, drill holes in the wall, stained and dented furniture. Scorched (?) metal case of the bedside lamp. The pictures of the rooms on the website (double room) were COMPLETELY different. The old rooms are not shown on the website at all (naturally). So I felt this was quite dishonest (albeit a special situation) advertising. We chose this over a different conference hotel option due to the pictures on the website. The staff was great and tried to help us but in the end we couldn't upgrade to a better room due to lack of availability. Our view was onto a frying oil factory. It smelled sometimes.

Nice, clean hotel and friendly staff. The breakfast is good and the facilities are really nice and pretty. However the rooms lack air conditioning (or even ventilation?) and there are only regular curtains that do not block the light out very well. The beds and mattresses felt thin/cheap and there are no queen/king sized beds but rather two twin beds put together. Still, it might be one of the better hotels in the area. We did stay on some of the warmest days of the summer, so some of the flaws were probably exposed just for that reason. There is a small gym and a sauna.

Been staying here since 2005 for the Sweden rock festival. Rooms and service are great and hotel location allows easy travel access to the festival by taxi and especially the bus. The hotel is specifically geared up for the festival at this time and information and service from the staff is excellent

Stayed here a few times while visiting the area and always made welcome. Good value for money and close to town centre so good to be able to go for a wander. The architecture and style of the hotel is quite interesting and typically innovative of Swedish style.

We stayed here for my cousin's wedding; they were sweet and let us check in early. The room is lovely; the beds are super comfortable. The real star is the hotel breakfast though - it comes free - and it's an amazing luxurious spread with many options (gluten free too, which was surprising).
