Hotel Carlton Helsinki

Nice, safe, clean and great location. Comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Good breakfasts. There is pub inside called Lost in Helsinki, drinks, beers, wine, tasty food.

A rather overpriced hotel that is a bit worn down. No elevator in the building. The room was tidy when I checked in, but dusty. Loose skirting by the floor. Very, very noisy ventilation that did not seem to work properly, so the air felt stuffed. In order to be able to sleep, I had to wear earplugs. There was a window that could be opened, but due to renovations of the exterior it was masked. The breakfast area was a bit dark and chaotic and they run out of simple things as jam. I would not recommend it to the price I had to pay. One really should not pay more than NOK 750-900 for a single room.

Excellent and decent priced hotel in Helsinki City Centre. It is in walking distance in main transportation centers just as Railway Station (300 meters) and 700 meters from main bus stations. Easy access to airport and market square: Perfect place for business and holidays. Hotel has a very good restaurant (Lost in Helsinki) and great wine list. Breakfast is excellent and service is in like five star hotel.

It was... Okay. Needs a lick of paint. Quite a lot of noise from other guests and bar downstairs. Needs proper air conditioning - rooms too warm. Comfy bed though. Breakfast was good, and location is excellent.

Nice hotel near Helsinki Train Station, a lot of shopping nearby and most important is they got friendly and helpful reception. The con is you have to carry own luggage to second floor, they have no lift, although the kind young lady in reception offer to help me lift the luggage to second floor. Better no big and heavy luggage if you choose this hotel.

Location perfect (in the middle of everything, many tram lines and metro station in 50metres radious),. Rooms average. Smell of weed in corridor disturbing. Value for money (55€/nite) excelent. Café/restaurant seems pretty poor (based on latte). Breakfast served in rooms poor. Sound proofing good. Bathroom good. Service friendly.

This place is perhaps the most european city hotel I've stayed in Helsinki. Rooms are small but comfy and up-to-date. Windows to the street are huge and you can hear the trams running by. The hotel lobby shares the space with a café and a bar. Room television was maybe the smallest I've had but the electric adjustable bed more than made up for the missing gimmicks.

Room is relatively big and comfortable. Pillows too soft for me though. Note there is no lift and you need to carry ur luggages to 2nd floor. Dental kits can be obtained from reception. Breakfast ends at 930am - a tad early for us. Facing the busy street so you can hear all the cars and trams passing by.
