Paris in Winter Is Always a Good Idea—Here's What to Do

"A small, boutique hotel in the Marais that trades size for old-school Parisian charm—exposed wooden beams, quaint rooms, and the appeal of a cozy breakfast-in-bed experience—making it a budget-friendlier option in a central location." - Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd is a travel, wine and lifestyle writer.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Where to Stay in Paris: The Best Affordable Hotels

"A jewel-sized Marais property inspired by 18th-century playwright culture, where vintage wallpaper, period furniture (including a harp), exposed beams, and tiny, picturesque balconies create an old-world, museum-like ambiance. Rooms are cozy and atmospheric, and the romantic, historic design and unbeatable central location make it a perennial favorite despite fairly basic bathrooms that could use updating." - Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd is a travel, wine and lifestyle writer.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Hôtel Caron de Beaumarchais

"Take a step back, and describe this hotel for us.Set among the museums, galleries, and boutiques of the buzzing Marais neighborhood, and just a few blocks from the Seine, this boutique hotel both transports you back in time and envelops you in a decidedly French theatrical fantasy. Inspired by the works of the 18th-century playwright Caron de Beaumarchais—in particular, “The Marriage of Figaro”—the eponymous hotel has an entry that feels a bit like a stage, with a tableau of an antique piano forte, harp, and card table in the floral parlor. Interesting. And who else is staying here?Travelers looking for an affordable option with plenty of character cite this as a favorite pick. Got it. How fluid was check-in, check out?A homey, guesthouse vibe helps makes check-in warm and painless. Excellent. Now, tell us all about the rooms. What do they look like, and how are they arranged? The 19 rooms are set either in the front or back of the building; the former are slightly larger, save for the two small sixth-floor rooms that happen to have the best views. Front-facing rooms have vintage, French-style décor; those in the back are more sedate. All have touches like wood-beamed ceilings, chandeliers, and antiques, along with both tubs, showers, and minibars. The technology is fairly standard—think high-speed Wi-Fi, bedside USB ports, satellite TVs, and air conditioning. Windows are double-glazed to keep out the sounds of the Marais. Give us the lowdown on the F&B.Breakfast (extra on top of the room rate) includes pastries, coffee and tea, juice, eggs, yogurt, and fruit. Otherwise, there's no on-site restaurant—but there's plenty of spots nearby. __Good to know. Tell us what we missed—are there any features you'd like to shout out? __ Guests regularly cite the staff as one of the best things about the hotel, noting their eagerness and warm and welcoming attitude. Bottom line: Worth it, and why? This hotel is a gem with affordable rates, an excellent location, and an intimate setting. (Just don't expect the amenities and facilities of a larger hotel.)" - Sandra Ramani

The hotel was in a great location in the marais area which is really central and in the heart of Paris. This was brilliant.||The style of the hotel was really lovely - really French and authentic features and decor. ||The rooms also had nice facilities and for a small space our room - number 22 - was well thought out and clever.||Breakfast - we paid €5 each for coffee and tea which I took to our room from the breakfast room. ||The hotel was good, but our room was small, but also quite dark and airless - there was a window which opened onto an enclosed area which was very dark. ||Some staff were really friendly.

I hate writing bad reviews as I generally give people the benefit of doubt, but in the interest of warning other travellers I feel that this has to be done.||I booked the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais for our anniversary trip to Paris based on a recommendation for romantic hotels from the London Times (what’s wrong with the person who wrote that article?) and very good reviews on Trip Advisor, which in hindsight I realise were all for the front facing rooms. The people who stayed in the rear rooms have been understandably silent. What a mistake! It was by far our worst experience staying in a hotel in over 33 years – and we travel a fair bit. ||On the plus side the hotel is very well located, spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water and the air conditioning works well. That’s where the good news ends.||Service|The worst bit of the experience was the lack of any customer service. When booking I had mentioned that it was our anniversary and although I wasn’t expecting anything special, a warm greeting of 'happy anniversary' or 'welcome to Paris' from the older gentleman at the front desk would have been nice. Instead, he was only interested in getting our payment sorted as maybe he was worried that we would do a runner when we saw the room! Except for a younger person who was there on one occasion, no one smiled or welcomed us or said anything when we left the hotel or came back. This was quite an achievement considering that we had to drop off and pick up our keys each time we went out!||I understand people may have personal issues which we may not be aware about, but this lack of acknowledgement was similar across all staff except the cleaning lady who always greeted us warmly and with a smile. When you’re a tourist in a foreign land a warm welcome goes along way, in fact, as I now realise, is much needed at a hotel reception desk. Sadly, not to be had at the Beaumarchais. ||The room|No street rooms were available, so we booked an interior room with no view, which are not their best rooms – and to be fair they do say that in the description. So we were ready for a courtyard view, but nothing prepared us for the tiny (7'x10') courtyard (ventilation shaft really as it couldn’t even be called a light well) with a close-up view of a wall and absolutely no light. We were on the 4th floor - I hate to think what the lower floor inside rooms are like.||We felt claustrophobic, there was limited air circulation, and we almost checked out as soon as we saw the room. It was so small that you had to move sideways along the bed to get to the bathroom or closet (the 14m2 in the description includes the bathroom and a bit of the corridor that extends into the room - the room itself is more like 9m2). ||Thankfully we only brought carry-on luggage, as there isn’t space for a suitcase in that room. ||The bed|The bed itself was huge as it was two single beds pushed together, which made no sense given the size of the room.||The bed covering was a tired looking red blanket with a flat sheet under it which only came as far as your chest. The sheet was also narrower that the banket so it you wanted to stick your feet out of the covers at the side, you couldn’t help but encounter the rough blanket which presumably was not washed between guests. My wife found it extremely difficult to sleep.||Amenities |No tea or coffee maker, virtually no surface to take out any personal belongings. There was a safe, but it wasn’t anchored to anything - someone could just walk off with the whole thing and test their code cracking skills in the comfort of their home! ||Bathroom|The bathroom was tiny, although it had all the things you would need - except for a shower screen or curtain! I had to be super careful taking a shower so as not to get the floor totally wet which I did by taking the shower attachment in my hand and standing along the side wall. ||My poor wife had to bend over the side of the tub to wash her hair before getting in the tub to finish washing. ||Mini Bar|Minbar/fridge and waste basket next to each other in the space under the sink in the bathroom. We’re not sure how hygienic this is but it didn’t stop the hotel wanting to charge us 4 Euro for a can of Coke (or so we were told at reception).||To sum up…|Ok, if you get a front room facing the street I am sure the experience is much better - so avoid the interior room unless you are partying all night and just want to sleep during the day in absolute darkness because they really are very dark in the daytime.||We still had a great time in Paris as it’s such a wonderful city, and as an urban designer and architect for me a great example of what urban life (in the public realm) should be like. ||We will likley visit Paris again, but will definitely give this hotel a miss – there are many other better choices.

The hotel has possibly the best location for a Paris traveller - close to everything, great vibe of Marais and number of cafes and stores nearby, even a launderette in the back lane. The staff is exemplary- there is someone at reception 24/7 and they always greeted us with a smile and helped us with whatever we needed- whether it was a water kettle, fresh crockery or a pot of milk when we needed some on the last day. Surely the rooms could do with a few improvements - they are on the smaller side, have only a couple of plug points and a more modern television perhaps and a little space to keep luggage etc - but for those seeking the old-world charm, down to fresh roses in the room everyday - please look no further and make a booking at hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

I would highly recommend considering this darling boutique hotel for your stay in Paris! Guests are within walking distance to main attractions, great food, and public transit. The rooms are very clean and thoughtfully prepared. The hotel breakfast is a must at least once! From an American’s perspective, if you are wheelchair bound, have any mobility issues, or physical limitations, I would consider another hotel offering those types of accommodations and amenities.

We've stayed at a few boutique hotels in Paris and this was our favorite. We were there for 3 days. Yes, unless you are in a U.S. Hotel chain, you will be living in a Parisian space (small but tastefully furnished) but isn't this why you came to Paris in the first place? To experience something different? The location is unbeatable, the staff lovely and accommodating, and during a heatwave, the air conditioning was excellent (and this is HUGE as it is unusual). As another traveler noted, the entry does look more dated than shown in the photo, but again, this is supposed to present a "back-in-time" tableau. Transportation is readily available but you are so centrally located you can walk for 15 minutes and reach a few arrondissements, or catch the many buses available. Oh - and the bed was comfortable and the pillows!! Not the hard square ones you often find around Paris, I was so happy!|At checkout, the manager asked how our stay was and if there were any improvements we could suggest. The only thing, and it was not a problem, was that the shower head pointed down instead of out so you couldn't shower under it, just use it as a sprayer, but honestly not an issue for us at all. Next time we'd like to splurge and get those rooms on the top floor with a balcony - looks amazing!!!

I stayed here last October with my boyfriend. The hotel is the most beautiful, stunning place I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are lovely and so affordable. I was so happy there was a bath it made the stay really comfortable. The staff are lovely, the location is great, when it rained they let me borrow an awesome wolf umbrella, I miss it so much. This will always be my go to place to stay whenever I’m in Paris. Thank you for everything. 🖤 Amiah + Jamie

Google
The romance package is a scam. I booked the package as a solo traveler because it promised a deluxe, front facing room and all pictures and descriptors showed it having a balcony. I arrived, and the room is one of the smaller side facing rooms, no balcony. The lift was broken, and I had to carry luggage up to the 3rd floor without help. I understand temporary issues but the front desk guy saw me struggling to get luggage through a tiny door and couldn't even be bothered to hold the door. I'm going to try to keep an open mind for the rest of my stay, but this has not made a good first impression.

Google
We just checked out from a 9 night stay at the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais. We had the MOST wonderful holiday in Paris. There are already 598 five star reviews for this hotel, and I am going to add one more. Everything about this hotel was PERFECT for our needs: the location, the staff, the wonderful breakfast. Many reviews mention small room sizes - but our room was very comfortable. The maid made the room up every morning, and the room and its bathroom were spotlessly clean. Possibly the best aspect was the value for money. I cannot believe that you will find a better hotel in central Paris for the very reasonable rate we paid. I hope to return to Paris someday - and when I do, I will stay at the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais!

Yelp
Oh my. Words can't express the absolute gem that this hotel is in the heart of Marais. Perfect location, beautiful decor, cozy rooms, and fantastic breakfast. We had a double room with a small balcony that faced the street. It was perfect in every way. The employees were so kind and helpful and spoke beautiful English to our sad French (but we tried!). We did 4 days in Paris and 4 days in the Loire Valley, returning to Paris for our last night. After staying here during the first part of our trip, I cancelled our 2nd Paris hotel and rebooked this one for our last night. It was that perfect. We can't wait to return and without question we will stay here again. Many thanks to the staff at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais for making our stay so lovely.

Yelp
My son and I had a wonderful 8 day stay last June, and we adored everything about this hotel. The staff were kind and helpful. The location can't be beat. The room was cozy and comfy. We look forward to the day when we return for another visit to this terrific hotel in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Yelp
The most beautiful and cozy boutique hotel! Located in a great area around tons of shopping and restaurants. The staff is so kind and accommodating and the rooms were small but cozy and so beautiful. Loved all the small touches with the bathrobes, towels, and more. We had the hotel breakfast for one of our days and it was delicious. Will recommend this hotel to anyone I know looking for a place to stay in Paris!

Yelp
We adored this charming well located hotel. We had tiny Garrett room with balcony and chandelier oozing with romance. Breakfast delivered and enjoyed on the balcony was a great treat. Fresh, hot and delicious food. Lovely staff. Easy to work with and responded to my college french in French without a trace of impatience. It was not at all noisy as had been mentioned in Rick Steve's book.

Yelp
Oh, my. This hotel is the most memorable and the loveliest hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. I've stayed at lots of hotels.... This hotel was perfect in every way. First of all, we arrived early in the morning after many hours of traveling. We were exhausted but also excited to be in Paris! They held our bags and directed us downstairs to eat breakfast while they got our room ready for us. Now, this may sound over exaggerative.. But the breakfast blessed my entire life. I now wake up sometimes from a dream because I feel like I taste the fresh orange juice. It came complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, the most wonderful orange pekoe tea, soft boiled egg, kiwi, chocolate & regular croissants, wonderful white bread, and the most amazing butter and raspberry jam I've ever tasted. I would give anything to have that breakfast right now! The hotel also transports you to the year 1850. There is a beautiful harp in the lobby. The furniture and walls are divine. Our room was so gorgeous, with a balcony and an amazing view! Bed was sooo comfy and had little charging usb ports so that we didn't even need an outlet converter (from USA). Bathroom was wonderful and came with robes for us to wear. I slept like a baby even though I was sick from the long flight The location is unbeatable! We were able to walk basically anywhere. And when we needed to take the train, we got on at the Hotel DeVille. They also provided us with free museum tickets to the Muse d'orangerie and a free boat ride on the Seine! Every day, the man or woman at the front desk was soooo beyond sweet and helpful. Our room, bed, shower, balcony, bathroom, toilet, Breakfast and overall Paris experience was just perfect. It is a dream of mine to return to the loveliest, Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais! At the end of our stay, my boyfriend and I wrote a long letter to the staff to sincerely thank them for the most memorable hotel experience of our lives. We absolutely cannot stop dreaming about returning.

Yelp
This is truly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in it is tiny it is spectacularly clean it has incredibly nice staff and I dictated a run-on sentence filled with praise but I think it's probably appropriate for the run-on of incredibly good service I would go back there in a minute I would recommend it to anyone I stay there because I knew I would have sore feet and when I had time to rest I wanted to be able to be in the middle of things in Paris and that's exactly what I got.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went on vacation for our 5 year anniversary and stayed in 4 different accommodations in the cities we visited. This, by far, was our favorite. This actually might be the cutest hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. And I've stayed in a lot of hotels. It's a small boutique type hotel with the best customer service you'll ever find. So the airline lost my boyfriends bag, and the lady who works here was in communication with the airline to make sure we got our bags as soon as possible. She was calling them several times a day! What great service! The room itself was very cute and had a small little balcony as well. It was cozy, and decorated in a way where you actually felt like you were in France -- exactly what I wanted. We also tried their breakfast one morning, and wow. It was awesome! It came complete with butter croissants, chocolate croissants, baguette, jams, yogurt, boiled egg, and other things I can't even remember now. My boyfriend, who has lived in France, said it was a very traditional french breakfast. Everything about this place was perfect. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit!

Yelp
If you're wanting that charming Parisian style hotel in one of the best neighborhoods that's super comfortable and has great service from start to finish, you should stay here. It's located a few short blocks from rue des Rosiers, where all the best cheap eats like L'As du Fallafel, La Droguerie and Miznon are. The bed was big and comfortable. The shower was great - big and the water pressure was good. Everyone spoke English and was super nice and approachable. We would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved, loved, loved it! It's very quaint and French, in a GREAT location (you can walk to so many places!) and, most importantly, the staff at the reception desk become like local friends who help with everything. Our trip would not have been the same without their help and advice. And as everyone has said, the breakfast is fantastic.

Yelp
We recently spent a few nights and days of our month long honeymoon in Paris at Hotel Caron. It was a fantastic experience! We first checked in and our room wasn't ready...the front desk was happy to hold our bags, provide wifi and give us some suggestions on sightseeing and such. The staff was very nice and accommodating from check in to check out. (They even sent up some complimentary champagne for our honeymoon.) So sweet!! The neighborhood, Le Marais, is the best hood to stay in Paris (IMO). It's close and central to any sightseeing...but you walk out your door and feel like you're in a Paris hood and not some tourist trap hell. (There is a lot of tourist stuff obviously in Paris so I would just suggest not staying too close to any big attractions...ie Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, etc). I just can't stand feeling like I'm in the middle of tourist central but I suppose some people like that. The room at Caron is quaint and comfortable. It's a very modest size room but we never felt cramped. The windows opened right to the street but it's not a main drag so car traffic is minimal. But there are plenty of people walking around nearby to make it feel like "Paris is right outside". It's really cool. We ate gelato and sat by the window at night and had a front, balcony view of some Paris nightlife. The bed is semi-comfortable. The shower/bathroom is average. Nothing negative here. Just nothing special either. The breakfast area downstairs felt a little dark as its downstairs below ground level. Nice and quaint but we never hung out down there and just got croissants in the am at a nearby cafe. If you're looking for a nice stay in Paris, I would highly recommend. If you're looking for a super updated, ritzy type of hotel, this isn't for you. But I'll say...I'm a very particular person when it comes to where I stay, and I would absolutely stay at Caron next time we visit Paris.

Yelp
This is a charming hotel in Paris, located in a wonderful neighborhood with easy access to most everything. Though it is small, everything is done to perfection. We loved our little room with a usable balcony, the fresh flowers, the delicious supersized breakfast tray we had delivered to our room for just 13 euros. There are so many cute and clever details to the design and atmosphere of this hotel. Most important though, it's the people who work here who add to the specialness of this place. The front desk is manned 24/7 and they are always ready to help you out with directions, info, printing out tickets or greet you with a friendly smile and hello. Total win win win and staying here definitely added much joy to our 5 days in this lovely city.

Yelp
We've stayed in Hotels from New York to Tokyo, Reykjavík to İstanbul and none have been as service oriented and accommodating. The hotel location couldn't be better, the restaurants and museums are within a short walk for the most part and the rooms have a definite old Paris feel... in a great way. We disregarded the breakfast in bed for 3 days, but ordered it the last morning and it was perfect! The staff hailed us a cab and brought our bags out, and even gave us $150 Opera tickets that a previous guest couldn't use on our first night(certainly happenstance, but very thoughtful.) Without hesitation, we would stay again every time we visit Paris. 110% recommendation.

Yelp
This hotel is quaint, charming and lovely. I was already staying in Paris at a different hotel, and decided to stay an extra night. My mom messaged me and told me that her patient said I HAVE to stay at Caron de Beaumarchais. Unfortunately, through the chain of communication, I ended up thinking the hotel was a lot of less expensive then it in fact was. I called up the hotel to see if they had a room free for that night for around 120 euros. The nice man on the phone (the manager) told me that they didn't offer any rooms for 120... that their least expensive was something like 170€ per night. Sensing my disappointment, he offered to give me one of their nicest rooms (usually 190€) for 135. Well worth the money! We had an exceptional breakfast in bed and an amazing view. The rooms and the hotel itself transport you to the 18th century, and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Perfect little hotel. Charming. Spotless. Capable and friendly staff. Great location. Close to many restaurants, convenient shopping. Metro 1 line is a 1 minute walk. Picasso museum is a 10 minute walk. St. Chapelle 10 minute walk. Just a great place.

Yelp
Our go-to hotel in Paris, where for us, location is everything. This small, unpretentious hotel sits right in the middle of the Marais between St. Paul and the Hotel de Ville. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and while the rooms are tiny and old-fashioned in just about every respect, we don't mind. Everything is immaculate and warm in winter. More to the point, step out the door, and you are at the center of the world.

Yelp
What a gem and a great value! My wife and I just had a fabulous stay at Hotel Caron du Beaumarchais. Here are a few ways I would describe this hotel and our experience there: The character of a great B&B. The moment after, we walked into the lobby, put down your bags and met the staff, we had the sense that we chose the right place. The small but highly functional lobby was adorned with all sorts of relics waiting to tell their stories. It felt a bit like we were guests in the comfortable, elegant but not lavish country home of a cultural historian with a sense of humor. Except that this country home was plopped down in the middle of one of the most walkable neighborhoods in all of Paris. If you are looking for the opposite of the cookie cutter mega chain hotel, this is it. There are just dozens of nice little surprises. Our room had the feel of a cozy hideaway amid the hustle and bustle of the busy Parisian sidewalks below. The fireplace in the lobby also adds to the sense of coziness. Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff. Some hotels train their staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. Lord knows I've relied heavily on them over the years. But some hotels manage to hire people who delight in making your experience easier, more interesting and more enjoyable. They seem to frequently go well beyond the call of duty. Hotel Caron du Beaumarchais is such a hotel. My only issue was that I sometimes felt bad for taking so much of their time with very basic questions about the neighborhood, transportation options, etc. because they would give so much of their time. Phenomenal location. It would be difficult to imagine a better location. Within walking distance is a cornucopia of cafes, shops, bars, restaurants, markets, amazing sites, etc. All the major sites we wanted to see and all the neighborhoods inside the city limits were within easy reach. Tasty and abundant breakfast. My wife tried the hotel breakfast while I slept in. She said that everything was fresh and delicious. And abundant! Perhaps even a bit excessive. For 13 Euros, she said that they brought her a croissant, chocolate croissant, a baguette, soft boiled egg, yogurt, a kiwi, two kinds of jam, plus tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this little hotel in Paris! Not too far walking distance from many of the sites you'll want to see, and incredibly nice, helpful staff. Everyone there speaks perfect English, but they will suffer through your French if you are trying to use it (and politely give you help on pronunciation). The breakfast is tasty, huge and inexpensive - you get several pieces of fresh bread, croissants, etc...a fresh hard boiled egg, tea or coffee, a little jar of pate - we couldn't even finish it all. The rooms are small, but who cares - it's quaint, charming and cute. The oddest thing we couldn't figure out was the shower. There is no curtain or door, and there was also not a working stopper for the tub. So, you had to shower, and no matter how you shower, water will go everywhere. We basically used the handheld head to shower down, turn water off, soap up, and handheld it to rinse off again. Not the most relaxing hot shower after a day of walking all over Paris, but because of all the other benefits to the hotel, we didn't even care!!

Yelp
Charming small hotel in a wonderful location in Paris. We stayed three nights and loved the hotel. Rooms are small - but its Europe, so to be expected. The owner is fantastic and gives great recommendations. We were told to take a metro or taxi, but were able to walk to the Louve and Eiffle Tower with ease. Breakfasts are not included, but fantastic and provide a TON of food. Great shopping around the hotel as well. I picked this hotel as I saw a blurb in Conde Nast claiming it was one of the best hotels for traditional charm with modern comfort - couldn't agree more!

Mary C.

Yelp
Cute little place to stay in the Marais. You cant miss it, and tourists will walk by and STOP to look in the window that is how cute it is. Best place for Marie Antoinette-era fans. The rooms are small and quaint, but very clean, simple, with comfortable beds. Staff is accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is very lovely, I recommend ordering the breakfast its extra money but they serve fairly late for a Parisian hotel. It is more than enough to start a day of sight seeing. Request the little room at the top with the balcony! I will be staying here on my next trip to Paris

Mindy B.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying that I am very, very picky about hotels. I was a little worried about booking a smaller hotel, but I could not have been more pleased with my stay here. The hotel is very clean and charming, and everyone who works there is extremely nice and helpful. The neighborhood is great - easily walkable to all major tourist attractions and surrounded by great restaurants and shops. I felt very safe at night in the neighborhood.

Yelp
We have stayed at this boutique hotel several times and all I can say is that it's fantastic. The staff a very attentive and gracious. Phillip,Genevieve, and others at the front desk are wonderful. Phillip speaks four languages. Kitchen and housekeeping staff are on the same par. The location is right in between St Paul and Hotel Deville metro stops and a short 2 block walk to the Seine and the Ile St Louis. My wife loves shopping at BHV which is a 2 minute walk at most. Turn right out of the hotel and you will soon find yourself in the heart of the Marais with its many shops and restaurants. I would recommend rooms in the front of the hotel as they are larger than those in the back. Rooms 20 and 21 have balconies over looking rue de veille temple. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I recently stayed here for 9 days with my girlfriend and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very charming and helpful and the hotel is so frikken cute. The 18th century furniture and musical instruments were comforting and fitting for the beautiful area. Their breakfasts are insanely good and service was always with a smile. The only thing that I wish was that they had an ironing board and iron in the room not one that you have to borrow from the downstairs. I wasn't totally thrilled with being billed for 10 nights when we only stayed for 9, however. We thought we would arrive earlier, but the reservation was already made. I reckon it wasn't their fault, but it would have been nice to have them waive the day we were not present being that we did stay for over a week.

Yelp
This is a wonderful hotel--absolutely lovely and charming in both public areas and rooms. Breakfast was terrific. Good value. And every single one of the stay went above and beyond to help us before and during our stay and treated us like family.

Yelp
Adorable boutique townhouse hotel in a perfect Marais location. It's not a flagship luxury hotel but more of a hybrid between a hotel and an upscale B & B: but what they do, they do right. The décor is antique Ancient Régime charm, the staff are competent and courteous, and the location wonderful. You won't be swimming in extra room, but the place is done up so attractively that you can enjoy the wallpaper and relax. I would've wished our bed a little larger, but we did opt for one of the smaller rooms in the older front section, so there. Definitely a romantic spot in a romantic town.

Yelp
I had stayed at this hotel on my honeymoon and 19 years later back for a vacation. It is as great as I remember. A perfect home base to enjoy the city. Rooms with the terrace are especially lovely. Staff is warm and friendly. Not a lot of frills except for the fabulous breakfast delivered to your room. Perfect perfect perfect location!
