What a gem of a hotel! I stayed for 3 nights in a Superior Room, and had a great stay. I arrived a few hours before check-in, but thought I'd head to the hotel to see if they could store my luggage while I had a wander around Granada before check-in time, but when I arrived the room was ready, so I was able to have a complimentary arrival drink and then head up early, which was very appreciated after an early morning flight! ||The room itself was on the smaller size, but it had everything I needed, everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Added touches like the hair straighteners in the bathroom, and free bottled water were appreciated! ||The inner courtyard of the hotel, where breakfast is served, was an absolute oasis, and the perfect place to sit and relax after a day enjoying the sights of Granada. The complimentary afternoon tea was also a lovely highlight. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the food at the afternoon tea was tasty. The character of the building itself was absolutely gorgeous! ||All the staff were very friendly and helpful, from check-in to check-out they were absolutely lovely, and were also happy to help with local recommendations for food and sightseeing! I had a small problem with the air conditioning but this was fixed really quickly. ||The location of the hotel is brilliant, right in the heart of Granada's historic area. Around a 25-minute walk to the Alhambra, 10-minutes to the Albaicin, and plenty of great restaurants nearby. ||Would highly recommend Hotel Casa 1800 to anyone visiting Granada.
