We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam! From the moment we arrived, everything was just so pleasant. Our room felt very comfortable — the bed size was perfect, the TV was a good size, and having a coffee machine & kettle in the room was a lovely touch. The room and bathroom were spotless, which made us feel right at home. A big thank you to the team for all their help, and especially to the person who cleaned our room — their attention to detail really impressed us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to visit Amsterdam again and stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam as soon as possible. Thanks a lot!

What a lovely stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam! The room was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, which made the whole visit so comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic too, with a great selection and fresh options that got our day off to a perfect start. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a real home-away-from-home feel. Highly recommend!

Lovely kind staff in both reception and F&B department. Reception were VERY informative, kind, asked about my travel experiences. They answered the phone with nothing but politeness. The keycard comes in this really neat pocket map that has a lot of info on and voucher codes for the restaurant and future bookings. ||I ordered a small chai latte, and waited 5 minutes for it but so worth it. One of the ladies was teaching the other how to make said drink, and it turned out beautifully. Solid prices, not expensive at all. ||After leaving for centraal, the hotel staff had made a little snowman as it had been very strong winds. ||The room I walked into was nothing but premium. Double bed, desk, large tv, chair, big shower, neat little coffee machine and kettle AND mini fridge for you to fill. Extra pillows too. I could definitely feel the ethos of the hotel echo throughout the building, but this didn’t make it tacky, it only elevated the place. i genuinely couldn’t fault my stay. I didn’t try the breakfast so I cannot comment on that or the restaurant. Cleanliness was top notch! ||Location was perfect, 5 minute walk to amstel station which is 10 minute metro away from Amsterdam centraal.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam! From the moment we arrived on 13 January we felt at home — the team was friendly and genuinely positive, and the bright, clean rooms made our visit so pleasant. Our request for a room with a view was happily granted which was a lovely touch. A couple of small suggestions: electric heaters meant we turned them off overnight for safety, so radiator heating would be even more comfortable, and a pair of slippers in the room would be a nice extra. What a lovely stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam! I arrived on 28/01 and was welcomed by a warm, efficient reception that set the tone for a relaxing visit. My room was spotless and very comfortable — the bed was so cozy it really made me feel at home. Great location, very comfortable room, and excellent service throughout — I’ll happily come back!

This is the fourth time I stayed in Hotel Casa, and I really like it. It's located near Amstel station in a quiet street, very well renovated, got spacious rooms, a good restaurant and very nice staff. It's easy to get around because of the location, and even if you've enjoyed the nightlife in Amsterdam the restaurant will have an all-day breakfast in case you miss the cutoff. The only small piece of feedback I'd have is that they charge EUR 10 per hour if you want to check-out later. I requested to leave at 12 (instead of 11am) and was charged EUR 10... Other hotels don't do that, especially not to their repeat visitors. Apart from that, great stay.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Conveniently located with easy public transport access to the city centre, it offers great facilities throughout. From the moment we stepped inside, the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere was noticeable. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even enjoyable. We especially loved the bookshelves stocked with titles in both English and Dutch, a thoughtful touch. Every corner of the hotel was impeccably clean. We loved our experience here.

Cleanliness needs to be improved, found a lot of black hair during my stay and lots of stains. I am all for sustainability but to get housekeeping upon request (which didn't happen even after requesting) isn't great, to empty the bin, make the bed and hoover should be a standard. Breakfast is basic. Reception and bar was friendly. Manager at breakfast not so friendly. Price is good if you don't look too close.

Europe or not, if I'm not going to spend much time in my hotel room, I'm not going to pay much for it, and that was the case here. As someone else mentioned, the hotel is sometimes used as subsidized student housing, but that changes nothing! The amenities were perfect for our needs: a large shower, decent counter space in the bathroom, a coffee maker and drinking glasses, and a comfortable bed with a nice sized tv. Our view looked into the office building across the street, but so what? I was here to see the city, not hang out in the room! The hotel is located a little further out from the city center than I would have liked, but it is an easy 5 minute walk to the train and tram station, where you can be anywhere in town within another 10 minutes. The staff was friendly, and helpful when we needed it. I did see some funkier hotels that I would like to try if I'm ever back in Amsterdam, but I would have no qualms about staying here again! 4/2020

This place is awful, no AC, no sound insulation and there are nicer hostels than this. The beds are plastic bases with a 2-inch "mattress" on them and everything is polyester. The location is far from city center and it's basically in a suburban area. Stay away from this place! Putting someone up here for an interview pretty much says all I need to know about the company.

Excellent place. Very friendly staff, sadly it was raining for our visit so the rooftop bar was closed. My only complaint is that the dinner menu doesn't have a lot of options, but what I did order was very good.

This hotel is actually great, it's super clean, well appointed with modern amenities and friendly service. The overall room size is quite a bit larger than your typical European room, which is cool. The service was solid and the free wifi was actually pretty quick. Honestly, the only downside to this hotel is the proximity to downtown Amsterdam. It's about a 35min walk, or a 15€ can ride, or you can actually rent a bike from the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near Amstel station, which provides direct access to downtown and the airport. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at if you work in one of the nearby businesses, I would just be reluctant to recommend it for this looking to be in the "action" downtown. Hotel Casa 400 equals spacious and clean rooms with a super cute nerdy gamer touch that emphasizes pink and purple! If you're looking to be in the heart of Amsterdam with all the touristy stuff, then this isn't your hotel. This place is affordable and a quick train ride to all the fun Amsterdam stuff. I highly recommend watching their YouTube video on how to find the hotel from Amstel station. I arrived late a night and without the video, probably would have gotten lost!

For the price, this is 5 stars. We got this hotel over Christmas and it was reasonably priced. The rooms were large and quiet. The hotel was cute. Amsterdam is small so it's an easy walk anywhere. It was also very safe. Because it's a hotel that subsidized affordable housing for students, it does have a dorm room feel. The towels aren't so great but for the price, it was definitely worth it. If you're looking for a more luxurious hotel, this is not for you. If you're looking for a cute, safe and basic hotel for a good price, this is for you. I will probably stay here the next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Casa 400 was a great hotel for balancing my needs of value, comfort, and proximity to public transportation. Ideally, I would have liked to have stayed in the heart of Amsterdam, but I just couldn't afford it. Luckily, Casa 400 was just a 5-minute walk for the metro and tram station, so it took about 20-30 minutes total each day to get to the sights I wanted to see. The location is not terribly exciting. It's in the middle of a bunch of office buildings, and I didn't see anything of interest in the neighborhood, in terms of things to do or places to eat. But aside from the location, I was really happy with everything. Service was great. I arrived around 11 a.m. and just wanted to drop off my bag before I went into town, since I knew the check-in time isn't until later in the afternoon. The receptionist was very nice, and without me even asking, he checked on my room to see if it had been cleaned yet. It had, so I was able to check in right away. I have no complaints at all about the room. It was larger than I expected for Amsterdam, and the bed was very comfortable. It felt new inside, nothing rusty or creaky or anything, and the room was very clean. I ate at the hotel restaurant/wine bar once, and it was quite good. Overall, I was very happy with my stay, and I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable place with easy access to the metro.

Overall I was very happy with our stay here. This hotel is a little bit off the beaten path - out of the city hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam, but close to the transit station to pick up the bus or the train to go pretty much anywhere. A lot of tourists (bus) do stay at the hotel, but a few block walk in either direction gets you into local neighborhoods with some really great restaurants. The room was good sized, comfortable and clean. The downstairs had a nice coffee shop/restaurant (but we liked the food in more local restaurants better).

My girlfriend and I were intending to move to Amsterdam from China on 8th of September for University and, given the housing situation in the city, were forwarded to Hotel Casa by the University of Amsterdam as temporary accommodation. We got in touch with the hotel, and were put in direct correspondence with one of the booking staff. We were clear about our desire to stay in the hotel from September 8th until October 8th (one month), as we had found a more permanent place to live in from 8th October onwards. We were given a response mentioning a vague 'fixed rate' for a vague 'period'. Despite repeatedly seeking clarity, and ourselves clearly requesting the month-long booking term mentioned above, we were repeatedly met with this same response. After multiple emails, the staff member in question told us that the 'room would be ready [for us] from the 20th August'. This does not imply that we would be paying for the room from that date (especially after clearly stating that we would only be there from 8th September). This was especially frustrating given that, by this point, it was 26th August, 6 days after when the room 'would be ready' for us. A template email, perhaps. For the sake of clarity, to this we responded that, no, we didn't want the room from the 20th August, we wanted it from 8th September. We were sent a 'Casa Guide' in an attachment (we had to ask for it because it wasn't attached in the email it was supposed to be attached to) which finally stated the dates 20th August - 30th September. We asked the staff member, very clearly, if the full price will apply for us given that we will only be arriving on 8th September, not the starting date mentioned. The staff member replied 4 days later (very late, especially considering how close to moving time this was) once again giving us the vague answer of the room being 'ready' for us from the 20th, and us having to 'pay in full'. We still did not know what we were paying for, if we would be entitled to any refund considering our check-in date, and whether we could have the check-out date on 8th October as we clearly requested many times. This is where the poor communication turned into unprofessional neglect. Our follow-up email requested, very clearly, the exact information about what were booking. Further, that we amend the booking to reflect the booking that my girlfriend and I were clearly looking for this whole time. Unfortunately for us, the staff member we were talking to was on holiday at this point. Even more unfortunate is that we had no way of knowing this - there was no 'out-of-office' email sent to us, and no other staff member at Hotel Casa picked up the correspondence. Being in China at this point, it was very difficult for us to call, and so email was by far our best bet. So we emailed again - twice, in fact, and still received no response. That's 3 emails without a response, all in the lead-up and actual time of our move to Amsterdam. We landed and got to reception who also could not answer our questions (for all other concerns reception are polite and helpful). We called and were told firstly that this staff member was on holiday, which was news to us, and that they would not be back until 14th September - 12 days after we were met with silence after seeking vital information from them, 12 days during which we had to prepare and fly to Amsterdam. Prompt and clear communication in this situation in of vital importance, especially at the beginning of the university semester, especially during a housing crisis in Amsterdam, and especially when corresponding with customers of whom many will not have English as a first language. English is my native language and I struggled to understand what this staff member was offering us. We had to pay €1745.65 for 22 days, in what was advertised as a 'deal' for students looking for temporary accommodation, which has actually ended resembling predatory financial trap. Given all of these really quite obvious facts, we feel conned, and cannot recommend Hotel Casa at all to any student.

I stayed here 4 days and was pleasantly surprised. I stayed alone so I just got a baby room with a twin bed, which was plenty for me. Everything is simple, fridge in the room, blow dryer, no iron, but that was ok. Had a corner room, really pretty view of the canal, and you can rent a bike for €15 a day which bikes are life in Amsterdam so it helped a lot with trucking around! I know it's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown (stayed there the first half of my trip with friends), but it's a really nice change of pace. Biking will get you back there within 10-15 minutes, and trust me, it's a beautiful bike ride so go do it! Don't just sit there and watch tv while you're here, try the Spanish Tapas place down the road, ride your bike around to make yourself aware of what's around you, this place is awesome. Both Amsterdam and Casa 400. I was reluctant at first when I got dropped off here by my Uber driver, but after the first day I was happy with my choice. The cafe downstairs is awesome, got my mochas every morning there from the sweet guy that works mornings, and try the croissant with your coffee. Customer service was really nice here. I'd stay here again. :)

Loved this place. A wonderfully clean open feel to it. This is an inexpensive hotel but they have done so much to make it seem friendly and inviting. The rooms are small, but I was mightily impressed with how well the small rooms are laid out to make maximum use of the space provided. They have a big long desk that takes up one whole wall of the room. This gives lots of room for storage underneath and lots of room to spread out. Loved the small restaurant in the lobby with great options. A full breakfast with unexpected choices. While I wish the rooms had been a bit bigger, I got a lot of value for my money. A great economical hotel.

It's well run, good organized customer service, and much much better than staying in a hostel. Furniture and decorations seemed like Ikea on steroids. Fairly standard amenities - ice machine, wake up calls, open area downstairs with lots of tables to study/socialize, bathroom was much larger than ours in Paris. Seemed like a dorm -- many youngins playing games and just hanging out in the common area. I also liked the vending machines that dispensed Heineken, just because. Complimentary breakfast (croissants and other pastries) in the morning. Note this hotel is smoke free. Smoke your whatever outside in the designated area. Heard they're strict on fines for this! The only annoying thing was that it wasn't close to the city center where all of our friends were staying (and where all the nightlife, food, and action is). Amsterdam isn't big to begin with so sometimes I'd run the 3~ miles to the central area as a work out. Minor inconvenience. The metro station is also nearby (about 2-3 blocks away) so it wasn't too bad except that one time the metro closed at night (I think it was midnight or 1 in the morning?) and we had to walk back to the hotel because we ran out of euros and didn't have our ATM cards for a taxi.

I like hotels! Since most of them offer a great place to work, have meetings, with all the facilities that you might need. Casa 400 is definitely a place to revisit and have dinner too. I especially recommend their Caeser salad wich comes with Japanese style crisps!

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Great customer service. The hotel restaurants have good options. The location was good. Easy to take public transportation, but also reasonable priced Uber rides too. It's not walking distance to the town center. But, that's one of the things I like about it. There are restaurants and shopping nearby.

Hotel Casa 400 is an excellent hotel, but one that happens to be located somewhat inconveniently in the outskirts of Amsterdam in what looks like a new industrial development. Moreover, guests have to walk a bit from the nearest metro station along a route so unintuitive that the hotel has posted a YouTube video describing the path. Upon arriving, however, one is greeted with cheery staff, cute video game-like branding and comfortable, newly constructed rooms.

This hotel is in a great location near shopping area and museums about 10-15 minutes away. It's clean and comfortable with reasonable pricing. Rooms are a good size with amenities. customer service is friendly. It's a quite hotel so you get a good night sleep and beds are comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great place to stay.

I loved casa 400, it is very modern, organized and clean. The lobby is very cool and the staff are not only helpful, but they're extremely nice too. The hotel is 3 stops away from city center, given the efficient transport system of Amsterdam. You can also book tickets for madame tussauds, ice bar and even the metro. I recommend this hotel to all visitors.

In Amsterdam's overpriced hotel market, Casa 400 offers unbeatable bang for the buck. Its rooms are fairly spacious for Amsterdam (rather small compared to what you find elsewhere in the world, but then, this *is* Amsterdam), and well designed and appointed although giving a slightly Spartan impression. Great showers! Every room has a huge desk, probably because it is used as student accommodation outside the season. It has a huge lobby that with loads of work spaces, and they don't mind you sitting there using the (free!) wifi for hours. It has a reasonable although not very warm or romantic restaurant and bar too. Staff is great: helpful and nice. All in all a great place.

Big hotel a ways out from the centre of Amsterdam. It's 3 kilometers (almost 2 miles) and it's walkable, or you take the subway 3 stops and are in the city centre. The rooms were nice and clean, and the hotel smelled nice. Staff was friendly and service minded, and the hotel has a late checkout deal on Sundays when you get to checkout at 6 PM for €25 which was perfect for me. Non-smoking hotel, so you have to go outside to smoke. Large venues for conferences! The bad things: The restaurant has a very limited menu, and they didn't have toothpaste (neither complimentary nor for sale) when I had forgotten mine, but both of these are minor details. I would stay here again!

Love this hotel. Got a great deal from the internet. But parking u have to pay about 20 euro a day. Very clean and stylish rooms. Very safe. U cant get to the parking garage without your ticket. And the elevator needs your room key to get up stairs.

The hotel is nice, but the room wasn't very clean. Stains on the carper, garbage still in the bin. Breakfast ok. Bartenders and restaurant personell not so friendly, never help unless you specifically ask, move slow and don't realize that not everybody in a hotel is on vacation without being pressured by time. Had to wait at the bar for 5 minutes to be asked what I want to order with just one customer in front of me, then the bartender left without saying anything, after another 5 minutes I gave up and left myself.

I stayed here with ~20 of my classmates for 5 weeks while we studied abroad in Amsterdam. Everything is generally pretty nice. Not 5 star hotel or anything but everything is certainly nice enough! There's a free breakfast every morning that's pretty good. The people who work here are nice. They have a strange system with dropping off the keys when you leave (so you don't lose them and so if the other person in your room comes back they can get in since there's only one key). I've never seen this system before but this might be normal in Europe (I'm not sure). It's kinda scary that the windows have no screens but that's small thing... Overall, it was a very nice place to spend 5 weeks. Plus! It's close to the metro station.

Great place to stay. Not super close to heart of Amsterdam.
