The description of the place is deceiving, it hardly has a Moroccan feel. It is small, stark, and cold feeling. The doors to the rooms are not very secure - they look like closet doors, the toilet, shower, and bathroom sink are all in a small wet room with low ceilings - everything gets wet. The bed wasn’t very good. The street noise is super loud. The location is good being right in the main square.

My wife and I spent ten nights at Hotel Casa Blanco during a recent trip to Tarifa. There is no doubt that location is the hotel's strong point. Close to bars, restaurants, shops, monuments and other attractions it is difficult to imagine a more central location. The flip side of this is parking which is almost impossible in nearby streets. We left the rental car at a car park, about 300 meters away but it is free of charge only until the Holy Week. The hotel offers no breakfast service which is not an issue at all given the wealth of options nearby (I personally had breakfast at Casa 10 in the same street as Casa Blanco). The hotel occupies an old and nicely renovated building at a street corner. Our room (number 3) overlooked the street making it potentially noisy during peak season. It was quite small, especially considering that it was designed for three persons with an additional bed located over the bathroom (and accessible with a ladder). Storage spaces are almost non existent. Bathroom is extremely tiny with the shower squeezed between the toilet and the bathroom sink and separated from them by two plastic curtains. Pretty basic. All this comes at a very reasonable price (53 € per night). Overall Hotel Casa Blanco is not a bad option for those looking at an accommodation in the heart of Tarifa. One must only be aware of the place's limitations.

We stayed at Casa Blanco for two nights. The room was beautiful and we looked out onto the main street. As previous reviews have mentioned, the bathroom is a little different, but I think it just added to the charm! I loved the walk up to the room with the uneven steps. I keep meaning to email the owner to find out how old the building is. Due to the time of day we arrived, and our trip to Morocco the following day, we never did see anyone at the hotel. We ventured up to the rooftop deck with a bottle of wine in the late afternoon one day. You have a view of all the rooftops. I really felt like we were in a different country being up there - the Moroccan influence seemed huge. The wicker furniture definitely was past it's "best before" date, but it was still fun. It is just a short walk to the ferry terminal to get to Morocco. It's probably about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beautiful beach. The parking lot was about a 5 - 10 minute walk. Tarifa is a cute little town and a great jump off point to go to Morocco. We were very lucky to be in Tarifa during their "Tuna Fest" - awesome Tuna tapas! I would definitely recommend this hotel - we loved it!!!

This hotel has a key code to get in and your room will likely be ready when you arrive, which makes it okay that reception is only present between 9:00-14:00 each day. We stayed in a Superior Room, and the room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and small balcony. The only downside to the room was the “private bath” is private to your room but not necessarily private within your room...only a curtain and swinging glass door separate you and your travel partner while you are doing your business. However, this doesn't deter me from recommending a stay here. We came to Tarifa for a jumping off point to Tangier and it is very conveniently located to the port! There are also many bars and restaurants close by.

We got 3 rooms at this hotel and stayed for 2 nights. I loved Tarifa and this is a really cute funky hotel right in the middle of things. THere are a couple of great tapas places and several good restuarants. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry dock for a day trip to Morocco. The rooms were comfortable and super clean!||Best of all was the manager, Natalia. She couldn't be there for our check in, but had emailed me with a code for hotel entry and direction for getting into our rooms. She was super helpful and I would highly recommend Casa Blanco!

Nice small hotel in a good location in Tarifa. I got a nice room that streched all the way up to the roof of the house. In January when I stayed the room was 11 degrees when we arrived and the only heating provided was the quite noisy AC. This should not be a problem in the summer.

Sigh... I hate to give a review like this... but unfortunately this place looks amazing on the website and is run down and poorly maintained in actuality. ||I've tried to contact staff and am waiting for a response, but if your looking for a lovely place in Tarife, give this a miss... even if just for a bed for the night, while the room is beautifully decorated, the plumbing is not vented properly and the toilet vent is the shower drain. I closed the windows and turned on the AC on a hot day to let the room cool down... and returned to the most disgusting smells and it took me a while to figure it out. Someone clearly knows about it too, because there is a very strong plugin room deodorizer in there designed to mask the smells. ||I wish that was all I have to say negatively about the place but... the primary advertisements for the place describe a beautiful outdoor space on the roof as a main benefit and I was looking forward to having time to read a book, study Spanish and relax away from the hustle of the cute town. But the outdoor space is anything but relaxing... it is downright disgusting... blamed on the winds by staff, it clearly nothing more than neglect and as I try to get into a calm happy state and meditate on the wonders of the universe, all I can see is poorly maintained, disgusting, broken wicker furniture, and wonder if it's even safe to be up here. So disappointing and so easy to fix/replace and maintain. ||Besides that, the place has been redone a while ago w a very nice style, but it's clear the current owners are not putting any effort into maintaining or improving the property. Everything from the chair in unit 7 being disgustingly dirty, so dirty that I won't sit on it and it's the only seat in the unit, to the many broken lights both in the unit and common areas (both being out and/wired unsafely)... it's really a shame. Because as they advertise, the location is a 9.5, but the place itself is a 1 just because of the lack of maintenance. ||Also, there has been a bag of laundry sitting in the main stairway/hallway since I've arrived, as well as other items stored in the common areas, likes bikes, and additional portable beds, the candles were never lit in the common areas, the red cushions in the common area don't exist, all taking away from the ambiance of what could be an amazing place. ||A real disappointment... and I've signed up for 5 days here... I've asked to speak w someone about the situation.. let's see how this goes. ||I stayed at The Riad before moving here and it was very nice (get unit 6)... was expecting similar at Casa Blanco... the advertising and pics showed what I wanted but I'm very disappointed w the reality of this place... contrary to the general vibe of Tarife this place is not being loved.

This hotel does not deserve the stars it shows on TripAdvisor. It is more a 1 to zero star. No body waits for you to check in, the room is extremely small without anything thing to make your stay pleasant. The bathroom makes no sense. The shower is in between the toilet and the sink and no doors. The building is outdated. Stay out of this wrongly called “hotel”.
