Very friendly staff :) If you forget something when you checkout, they will do whatever it takes to get it back to you!

This was a run down, not very clean hotel. They were remodeling the entry way and we had to pass by workers to get in or out. My room was cold (no heater) and smelled strongly of bleach. They had left open a window in the shower, which I didn't see until the next morning when I when to take my shower. No one told me that I had to lock the door to the room with the key from the outside when I left - my room's door was actually ajar when I returned (nothing was stolen) because I didn't know that you have to lock it with the key. I had two double beds - the coverlet of one was stained. Maybe this place will be nice in a few months if they are remodeling it all, but don't go anytime soon (February 2023). I did not feel welcomed and the desk staff didn't speak English. The location is good, but that is all.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk and find food and things to do within minutes. Service is bad, Rooms are outdated and old, expect to have just a bed and a small tv, the pictures in the website and Expedia aren’t real. We had 1 soap, 1 shampoo, and 1 body cream that were old. There is no restaurant as promised in Expedia, there is no 100 pesos breakfast available. Parking is limited from 8pm - 9am per night and it’s 2 blocks away. The swim pool is cold, you just can’t swim. This is not a 3 star hotel, we would say barely 1 Well, sometimes you’ll get disappointed, this was our time to be I guess. Family G

pov from a digital nomad, so keep this in mind. First, Location is 10/10. If you’re looking for a 100% autonomous stay where the majority of your day-to-day is plug-and-play, this is not it. I had to communicate on average, 2x a day with the host. He was always responsive 👌🏼 The WiFi was unreliable and needed to be tweaked by their maintenance man (who was very helpful and knew what to do), which affected my work and I had to work elsewhere multiple times in my week stay. No parking or could offer a reliable recommendation. though they did offer me to pull my motorcycle right inside the lobby which was thoughtful; I did consider it until I discovered there’s no way to exit the plaza, only enter. If you’re looking for a cheap place to merely sleep in the city center and be out and about all day, this will suffice.

Loved the location!!! |It is in the center of town, you can walk to the main sites, the food at the restaurant is delicious and the prices are reasonable.|They have parking space for the cars but you have to leave the keys and they charge you for every hour you leave your car during the day. The staff wasn’t helpful with information about Cholula or restaurants and they charged us an extra fee because we booked the reservation from a web site. The rooms are always clean. Overall it was ok.

Price is good, rooms are clean, beds are not soft but that is standard here, but sheets are good and they give you extra pillows. The bathrooms are old but good enough for the price, there is hot water and they have all the towels including extras. There isn't much sound proofing but if your room is away from the courtyard or front, it is relatively quiet. No AC, but good ventilation. Location is great and central to all the shops, churches and the pyramid, so you can just walk to all of those places including the stretch of street with bars and restaurants.

Parking is not included and it's limited. Rooms are cold and don't have heating. Shower was cold at night and morning, when I called staff they did not believe I had no hot water running, deleyad my plans for about 1 hour and half only to find out there was a problem with the water heater. At check out I asked to see the manager and got denied and then I was expecting for a simple apology for the bad service, the receptionist even DENIED for an apology even when I asked asked for saying "it's what it is". These people who manages this property don't know how to run a successful hotel and certainly do not pass this to their employees.

Located directly on the Zocalo, Casa Calli is a reliable budget hotel that tries to be boutique. But if you just go in expecting a reasonably clean, friendly, small budget hotel you will should be happy. The location is perfect for sitting on the sidewalk tables, taking in the view of the golden churches and of families strolling the park and flying kites in the square. There are lots of cafes serving typical tourist fare, but if you walk up to the street behind the hotel, there is a large municipal market where you can truly eat "local." The hotel has a variety of different sized rooms, including family sized triples with three Queen sized beds. There is a swimming pool, though, at such a high altitude, the cool nights keep the water from warming up. But it is there for the hardy. The staff speak very little English, so be prepared to use your phone to translate any special requests. The first floor rooms are handicapped accesible, though the bathrooms are not specially equipped. They also have a wheelchair you can borrow if needed. All in all, a relaxing home base and a convenient location for taking in Cholulas many sights, including the fabulous new Regional Museum of Cholula.
