Hotel Casa DaVinci Sagl

My family had a two night stay here and it was enjoyable. Bernd was extremely friendly and gave us a call early before check in since we were arriving late. Just to make sure we had the instructions for retrieving the room key. I thought the yellow elevator was quite funky and liked the decor in general. |During breakfast the next day Bernd even helped run through some suggestions of things in the area with the pamphlets in the dining which I thought is a great personal touch. |In the rooms, it was well maintained and clean. There are comfortable beds, a little bit of street noise if you like to leave your window open, but it was not a bother if you closed them. Fans for the heat provided, enough space for my family. I would definitely recommend the room we had which could accommodate what seems to be 7 persons. It also has private shower and toilet. |The internet was also good with a consistent connection available. |The breakfast selection is simple but of quality with fresh bread, jam, cheese, muslie, cereal, coffee and tea. I would definitely return to stay here again. |

I love everything about this place! I really don’t know where to begin. The minimalistic decor gives this place a creative yet relaxing atmosphere. The guest house is well located, although a bit hard to find when first arriving. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. The bread was fresh and to my surprise was homemade fresh from that morning! Very good value for money. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone traveling to Tocino.

We stayed in this hotel during a group outing and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is really central, the rooms and toilets were very clean and the staff kind with us. The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast, which was quite basic but not bad. Overall recommended, quality/price ratio not bad for swiss standards.

Spotlessly clean and close to the centro storico di Locarno, in an atmospheric part of town. Welcoming staff who were most helpful and a charming ladybird to take home as a souvenir. Spacious, light room with shower and basin. Italian style gurgling drains. Toilet outside the room. Not keen on sharing loos but place quiet, so no problem. Very comfortable and firm beds. Effective and novel heating panels. You might get a bit of noise from the streets on either side but I was lucky. Amazing old building that has found a new lease of life. Close to restaurants. Next door catered well for vegetarians. By Swiss standards the brekky was a let down: no fruit of any description and just one rather dry rye bread. No croissants, rolls, cold meats and cheese/juice selection very limited. I notice this criticism has come up in other reviews yet the problem remains. Nevermind, overall good value. Would stay there again.

We had a great time staying one night in this hotel. It is quiet and serves great comfort for the price. And that open elevator is just magnificent. The hotel is about a 10-minute-walk away from the train station, which is just fine, as it leads over the beautiful Piazza Grande.

If you are looking at this casa, don't hesitate it's well worth it!!! Efficient management and well managed by a couple who had a great idea with this b@b! Extremely clean with many bathrooms which are spotless at all times!! Bike rentals are cheap and a great way to visit. The place is cozy and has a special touch to it which makes it quite special!! Loved it loved it!!!

If you're on a budget and wan't to stay for a few days Casa da Vinci is the place to go. It's not very much but it's worth its money. The personal are nice people. The hotel looks lovely inside. The beds are very confy for what its worth to stay there for a night. But be prepared there is no AC in the rooms (At least there was none in ours.) which can become a problem on hot days. So bring a fan or buy something to drink in the nearby Coop. The hotel is very cheap but its good for its price.

I was just in Locarno at the Moon&Stars festival and stayed at Da Vinci for one night with my friends. We had a very large room and our own bathroom. The room was very clean, the beds were comfy as well. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic! (especially after a long night outside at the concert).
