I dont think they are on booking or air bnb. We just stumbled across them in the street and decided to stay here after we had a bad experience next door. However, they really made our stay welcoming. Everything was clean, tidy and green. We (2 people) really enjoyed the open kitchen, the view from hammock and the long pool. On top of that everyone was really friendly and the service was great (Early check in = no problem, late check out = no problem, laundry = no problem). Thank you very very much! All the best to you and your staff.

First, I want to say how beautiful of an impact this business is having on their community. The business owner uses the money to help support community members through loans, which is amazing. By far, my favorite thing about Casa de Dan is the people - they were so friendly and warm. Another wonderful aspect of this hotel is how gorgeous the grounds are. They are well-maintained and lush. The rooms are like little apartments, which are very spacious and have kitchens, fridges, filtered water, and patios with hammocks. The pool is wonderful and long, and would be great for someone who wants to swim laps. Lastly, I really liked the location and the close access to both the beach and many great restaurants (including Dan’s Cafe!). However, there are three reasons for my three stars. 1. I stayed in apartment 11, which does not have air conditioning. The fans provided were old and quite dirty, containing lots of dust. As a result, my partner and I were very uncomfortably hot and coughing quite a bit. 2. The room had a lot of bugs, including large ants, spiders, geikos, and even a bat. Although I understand some bugs are to be expected, this was a bit too much for our comfort, especially the bat. 3. The internet was very very poor, and did not seem to consistently reach our room. We could not use it for minor tasks, such as messaging. I believe that many of our concerns would be alleviated by staying in one of the nicer 1 bedroom with view and AC offerings, and I would be happy to return to try one of those rooms.

We were lucky to stay here for two nights on our last trip to Puerto. The staff was friendly and the accommodations spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our two bedroom suite with kitchen, as well as our own HUGE private palapa. I could not get over our awesome terrace! The pool is a true lap pool, and we met some fellow travelers while hanging out there. The gardens are lush and the bougainvillea were in full bloom. I appreciated the extra security of the locked gate in the evening. The food and service at the restaurant were also really, really good. Dan is friendly and a great host as well. I hope to return!

I have to say. I love this place. Place was spotless. Had a well stocked Library and pool was very private. This hotel is only 2 blocks from beautiful beach. I highly recommend. They even had their own house branded coffee. If you are looking for a short or long term stay I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Casa Dan for 9 nights and I didn't want to leave. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The balcony was huge and the ocean view was beautiful. The restaurant serves delicious meals until 4 pm. It's a short walk from thr hotel down to the beach and the Zicatela strip. The pool was refreshing in the Mexican heat. Dan is a charming and knowledgeable owner/host with many stories to share. I can't wait to stay here again.

My review is only of the restaurant, not the hotel which seems to have great reviews. We were very disappointed with our breakfasts. I had the big breakfast with an omelette, potatoes and French toast, my my wife had a breakfast sandwich. Neither was good. The ingredients seemed of poor quality, quantity was small, taste only OK. We also had capuchinos, and they were extremely milky with little taste of coffee. While Casa Dans restaurant seems very popular, we don’t understand why except that the prices are low.

Our stay at Casa Dan was nice and for the price it was okay. We really liked the pool, the library and the people who are working there - they are always kind and customer oriented. However, the cabanas, especially the kitchen and the shower are very old and could do with some repairs :)

Casa Dan is run by Dan, who else. This is a delightful place walking distance to the Zicatela surfing beach. Dan's has nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Some have AC some do not. Some have a view, some do not, but all the rooms will make you happy. There is a lap pool and a great restaurant. I think I enjoyed the burgers and breakfasts there as much or more than at the 4 Star resort we stayed at.
