We were looking forward to our 6 nights stay in Cadiz, but unfortunately, we picked the wrong hotel. We thought this hotel had a good location and it would be comfortable for six nights. Instead, we were faced with having to deal with a lot of uncontrollable shouting and foul language until early morning. What we didn’t know is that the management had total disregard for the privacy of their guests and their obligation to provide what they charge for, which is a good night sleep, since they did not invest a cent in windows with insulation, or any level of insulation.||We arrived on a Sunday and as of that Monday, there were groups of what seemed to be teenagers sitting in an area full of benches that surrounds the two front sections of this hotel. From Sunday thru Thursday, they would leave by 9:00 pm. ||Come Friday night, no longer were they shouting and using foul language, but also teens from the park across from the hotel ( as you can see in one photo ), kept screaming at them and you could hear the back and forth insults using very foul language. We speak Spanish fluently so we could understand them. We could hear them clearly from inside the room without having to open a window.||We called the front desk and let her know what was happening, she said she would go outside to talk to them, which was not true. We were on the second floor and could clearly see them, she never went to talk to them. We called her again and asked her to call the police. Nothing happened. This went on until just past 2:00 am. |The next morning the lady at the front desk acted shocked that this had happened and told us that “in Spain this is not tolerated”. We asked her if they have a curfew in Spain which says that after a specific time this is not allowed. She was not aware of any curfew and again said “this is not tolerated in Spain”. ||Come Saturday night, 10:30 pm the noise woke us up, same thing. This time we decided to video tape them. We are not going to post a video because we don’t know if TA allows it, but we will post screen shots from the videos. We called her again and she said she was going to call the police. Nothing happened and the shouting and loud laughter continued. At 11:30 pm we called her again. Her response was that she could not call the police until midnight. What happened to no curfew? ||The police showed up, as you can see in one of the photos, at 12:02 am. One went into the hotel, the other stood outside. Neither one talked to the teens. You can see in the photo that they had their backs turned to the police. Less than 10 minutes later, the one that stood by the car, got in the car and left. The screaming started again. They were jumping on top of each other screaming, they even dragged one of the teen girls off the bench into the floor laughing, until finally at 1:50 am, they all left.|Sunday morning, we had to check out to drive 2 hours to our next destination. ||During check out we received the same cold and uncaring attitude from another lady named Natalia. She said “this has never happened before”. To which we just looked at her in disbelief. We explained to her everything that we had to endure. We asked her to relate to management that we wanted to be reimbursed for the last 2 nights. ||These people really don’t care for the well-being of their guests. They are doing heavy construction in the building, to which you have to wake up at 8:00 am. The place is full of dust. We are posting pictures of the amount of dust below the chairs in our suite. Not even once during our 6 nights did they bother to dust them. |We clearly mentioned to Natalia when we checked out, that we wanted to be reimbursed for the last 2 nights. We expected her to follow up with management about our request to the refund, but 13 days later, no response. They waited for us to ask again, so we did. Very arrogant and unprofessional. We received a refund that was 1 ½ of the cost we paid for those two nights for the suite. So petty! They really don’t care.||In conclusion, we were interested in this hotel because of the pictures in the internet, and yes, the building is beautiful and the interior is interesting, but unfortunately the people involved in taking care of the guests are not doing a proper job as part of a team providing services in the hospitality industry. Needless to say, we will never return to this place when in Cadiz again, nor will we recommend it to absolutely anyone else.
