I stayed at Casa de Las Flores for 2 nights before joining a group tour in PDC. My room, #28 was simple but spacious, had a small kitchenette and a much needed AC & fan system. ||This hotel is a calm oasis set behind the main tourist strip of PDC. Though only a 2 minute walk from 5th Ave, it feels a million miles away. The small pool is perfect for cooling off after a day exploring and the shaded garden is a nice spot to relax in. There are coffees and filtered water available at reception which was a nice touch. What really makes this place great, though, is the staff. Jesus was ready with a warm welcome when I arrived tired and later than expected, and kindly let me use the pool & shower facilities after I’d checked out. If you want a chilled stay away from the resorts, definitely consider Casa de las Flores for your time here. ||Tip: there is a nice coffee spot just around the corner, Kafi Playa.

The hotel was great, the people at the reception were just great. Heplful, very good english speaking. Really helped a lot. Perfect place - close to centre, close to beach, close to walmarkt. The swimming pool was very authentic, really enjoyed it. The yard full of trees is just amazing. And morning selfservis coffee made my day. Hope to come back once.

Fantastic, centrally located hotel with a pool. Stayed just a night before moving to our resort for the week. Service was laid back, very friendly and the atmosphere is like an oasis with large trees and plants in the premises. No breakfast here in this hotel but there's Muelle de Chema in the next block away, cheap good breakfast. There's a water dispenser at the lobby for drinking water. No fridge in the rooms, water pressure is very low, non existent wifi, and TV which we didn't use. Let the air conditioning run before you get the temp you wanted. Room was quite basic, can get cold aircon at night but only a thin sheet for the beds. This is located about 3-4 blocks from ADO bus terminal and very near to Quinta Avenida. There's are restaurants and local grocery stores nearby. Loud music bar right next door but barely heard in the hotel premises. There's food and music and a weekend night market (Fri - Sundays) just 2 blocks away at Plaza Julio where the Municipio is also located. Great to check out!

Pros: The hotel was in a great location. It was a 10 minute walk to downtown and surrounded by various restaurants, near pharmacies, convenience stores, and banks. It is located next to a restaurant(?) that plays loud music at night, but I didn't hear it much in my bed. It was also a 10-15 minute walk to Xcaret pick-up/drop-off sites. The room was big, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful as I was able to warm up my food in their common area's microwave and they assisted me with booking a taxi. They also have a drinking water cooler where you can fill up your reusable water bottles for drinking and brushing your teeth. The hotel grounds, pool, and room were clean and it was nice setup. It gave a nice homey feel. I recommend staying here. Cons: I wish there were water bottles by the room sink for brushing teeth and a clear indication whether the tap water was safe for that or not. The towels used for the swan decoration were the same towels to be used for drying - I would have preferred different towels for that purpose. The safe in the room was inoperable and I did not find a blow dryer for use. There was also a sitting area in front of my room that other guests used to sit and talk on the phone early in the morning - they were very loud and disruptive. However, I do not know how the hotel could have prevented this other than maybe having a sitting area by every room or only in a general area. Nonetheless, I cannot really blame the hotel for this individual's inconsiderate actions. These were minor cons and did not truly affect my stay.

Great location and service! It was super cute and the hotel manager was very helpful. The hotel itself has beautiful light and a pool and the rooms are spacious yet a bit dark. Would recommend and stay there again :)

Loved our honey moon stay in playa at casa de las Flores! Everything was perfect! The room was spacious had a nice small bathroom and closet space with a fridge, safe, and air conditioner. What I liked was that they did not charge wlctric usage extra like some hotels. You could crank the AC all day! The pictures of this hotel do not do it justice. It is a super cute colonial house with a giant tree in the middle. So beautiful! There was some constructions going on really close when we stayed, but because of the thick concrete walls it was fine. We got the standard king room. The AC was a great way to get out of the heat. The mattress was firm. Some may like that. I did not. There was low water pressure, but everywhere I have stayed in playa has this issue. I only took cold showers bc of the heat, so the shower was fine. Overall, the charm of this hotel is great and I would def recommend!

Great location, nice staff and clean facilities. Good value for money. We stayed in room number 8 and it wasn’t noisy at all.

Yelp
We had a great stay here at Casa de las Flores! It's a couple blocks from the beach, right next door to delicious and cheap local restaurants and the employees are so cheerful and accommodating! The beds in our original room were a little hard so we asked if anything else was available and David took us around to several rooms to make sure we were comfortable! The staff also has great restaurant recommendations! It is such a beautiful place with good sized rooms! We were very happy with our stay!

Yelp
Nice vibe when walking up to your room. Went in mid week and felt as if we were the only ones staying there. Private and beautiful colored walls giving hat authentic Mexican touch. Heat was unbearable when we were there but we had ac and managed to survive. Nice place for a quick stay in Playa del carmen. Supposedly by the beach but didn't make it. Also a nice area with some small humble little restaurants around walking distance.
