We stayed just one night in this really efficient and welcoming hotel. Although it’s just on the edge of the bar and restaurant centre of town, our clean and comfortable room was nice and quiet at night. The father and son managers were a mine of useful information. They made really excellent recommendations for local restaurants and bars – notably Bar Er Beti – the best tapas bar we have ever been to.

A really pleasant family run traditional hotel in a great location. Fantastic reception area , lovely people, cozy clean rooms. Very close to railway station and the local bars and restaurants , yet really quiet at night.

This hotel is very central to the town, near lots of nice cafes, bars and restaurants also very convenient for the train station and the boat to Cadiz both within easy walking distance. The walk out by the beach and pine forests is really nice and easy, great views and a couple of nice bars to stop off in on route. There are a number of great restaurants very nearby. ||||Owners are very friendly and pleasant and you are made very welcome. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated. Our twin room was big and clean with very comfortable large beds. Nice side lamps and table lamps which gave it a nice ambience at night. The room is nicely decorated with fresh colour on the walls. Spotless tiled floors. Nice addition of toiletries and the shower is really powerful. ||||The entire building has very well kept décor and looks super; lots of class and antiquity. There are lovely murals in the hallways and big ceilings with lovely wooden surrounds. There is a really nice interior courtyard with plants, a breakfast room and a library. Internet worked well, a little slow at times but manageable. Don’t know why the ratings are not higher, we could not fault it and felt it was great value for the price of €38 that we paid. It’s a hotel of great character and would very gladly stay again.

We generally visit this town twice a year (spring and fall), and if possible, we always try to stay at this small hotel in the old town, because it is authentic (run by a Spanish family, not an international group). The rooms have everything what you need if you do not look for luxury, but for a clean and quiet room with WC + shower. There is no parking space on premises, but most of hotels there do not have either. There are different public car parks around (they are all overpriced because you are obliged to go there, and the price is the same everywhere: but that is not the hotel's fault of course).||I can recommend this hotel for all people who want to explore the town and/or also go to Cadiz or Jerez by train (station nearby). There are also several hikes in the area that are great for bird watching (a car or bike is necessary).

This small family run hotel is in an old building, in the historic centre of El Puerto. It can be reached easily by train (10 min) and there are many restaurants and bars nearby. The next one is a Mexican (next door) that offers good food. The owners of the hotel are very friendly, guests with dogs are welcome too (no extra charges) and there is an elevator (for people with disability, an extra room is there: I know that everything is okay in this room because one time, we slept there because all other rooms were full). We have been there several times now (more or less twice a year since 5-6 years) and everything was always okay. This hotel is ideal if you want to visit the town by foot. The boat to Cadiz is very near too.||The breakfast is very rudimentary, it is up to you to know if it is worth the price (there are several bars nearby as alternative). ||Air conditioning is there (cold/warm).

Stayed for 3 nights. We liked the fact it was family run. We were offered a room at the back of the hotel which during night was very quiet (some noise mid morning from barking dog) add to that very confortable bed and very little noise from other guests in the corridor meant a good nights sleep.|Its close to all local ammenties and is eqi distant to rail station and ferry terminal so travel to Cadiz was easy.|We enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights on a short break to the region. For the price we paid this hotel has a lot to offer. The establishment is quite quirky and has a lot of character. It is a family run business and the staff were very friendly and helpful.||||Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good shower room, comfortable beds. The WiFi worked well in both the room and public areas. There was also a TV and a small fridge in the room. Plenty of power sockets available to charge phones, tablets, cameras, laptops, etc. Aircon worked well. Our only small niggle was that it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room for an early morning cup of tea. However, we knew this beforehand and took our own.||||There are lots of restaurants and bars in the area at reasonable prices. If you like tapas and seafood then you won't be disappointed. If you are a fan of fish 'n' chips or steaks however then this is not the area of Spain for you. The locals speak either very little or no English but I liked this and it was fun trying to learn some Spanish. This place is not your usual tourist trap.||||Although there is not a lot to do in El Puerto de Santa Maria, it is in a great central location for visiting Cadiz (either by ferry or train - around 25 minutes), Jerez (by train - around 20 minutes) and Seville (which is further afield - around 90 minutes). Make sure that you go on the tour of the Tio Pepe bodega in Jerez - well worth the money.||||On the morning of our departure the owner ordered a taxi for us - around 30 euro, which was a lot cheaper than other taxi firms in the area. On arrival at the airport we realised that we had left our passports in the hotel room. Fortunately we had plenty of time before our flight home and so we phoned the hotel and asked them to put them in a taxi. The owner of the hotel however got in his car and delivered them personally to the airport. How's that for service.||||We would highly recommend both this hotel and this area of Spain.

Stayed a night here between two 6 night Lovehomeswap flats.||Lovely traditional courtyard building in one way street close to river..||Staff were first rate, helpful friendly and efficient. Our room was large with work table if needed ..||and very nicely modernised.||Dinner 5 mins down the road in town centre in large fish restaurant..superb service.||A breakfast is available in the hotel but we went into town to a popular breakfast cafe to join the locals..great.||Have to say we are not Spain regulars..||And in 14 days in Spain..mainly Estepona and Sevilla this town was the only place where we saw beggars or annoying street sellers..and in 7 hours out in the afternoon and evening we encountered eight such people here!!
