Hotel Casa La Fe

Casa La Fe is an oasis of tranquility perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. The rooms are quiet, clean, comfortable and there is plenty of room to unpack. The AC worked well and there was always hot water. The hotel has filtered water stations for refilling your bottle. The reception staff, servers, grounds crew and cleaners were helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. There is coffee available on the main floor all day which is a lovely touch. The cocktails on the rooftop patio were also delicious and the pool deliciously refreshing with great views and sunsets. I could easily have spent another week at Casa La Fe.

Lovely small boutique hotel with excellent and gracious service in a beautiful and well-maintained building. The hotel faces a busy plaza but is very quiet with the balcony doors closed. Good air conditioning in the guest rooms, comfortable beds, and great water pressure. The included breakfast is substantial and delicious. I am happy I booked it and would stay here again.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The breakfast was delicious, the pool was very nice and even had a bar if you wanted a drink while relaxing. The staff were incredibly attentive to every small need — they helped with information and even booked activities for us in the city. I totally recommend this place! The price was very affordable, and the best part: it's located right within the city walls. Perfect location!

My stay at Casa La Fe was simply exceptional. Located in the very heart of Cartagena’s historic center, this charming boutique hotel perfectly blends colonial authenticity with modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a professional and attentive team, always ready to help and offer great local recommendations.||Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated in an elegant colonial style, air-conditioned, and very comfortable. The bedding was excellent, and the cleanliness was impeccable. A special mention goes to the rooftop breakfast: fresh fruits, natural juices, eggs made to order… all enjoyed with a stunning view over the old town rooftops.||The peaceful, leafy interior patio and the small rooftop pool were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the best restaurants, lively plazas, and historic sites of Cartagena.||Casa La Fe is undoubtedly a place I would wholeheartedly recommend for an authentic, serene, and unforgettable stay. I’ll be coming back without hesitation!

Such a relaxing and peaceful hotel. Just beautiful. The shower/bathroom was fantastic. Comfy bed. Super clean. The staff was great, helpful and very friendly. Great, central location. I would definitely stay here again. I have nothing bad to say.

Each morning begins with a delicious homemade breakfast—thoughtfully prepared and delightfully presented—often said to rival those of five-star hotels. They are also committed to environmental sustainability and serve filtered water instead of bottled water.

I totally recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cartagena and wishing to stay within the walled city. As a first time visitor to Cartagena I was a bit worried about my safety - this hotel eased all my fears. The hotel arranged for transportation to and from the airport for about $12USD each way. When we got through customs the driver was waiting for us with a sign with my name on it and made us feel so welcome. The hotel also arranged for a driver to drive us around on a personalized day tour of the city for a very reasonable cost. There aren’t many rooms at this hotel, allowing staff to give extra attention to its guests. I absolutely loved my stay - so much that I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to list in this review! Rooms were super clean with a pleasant, rustic feel, with temperature control, hot water, toiletries provided and daily housekeeping. Daily breakfast was included in our room rate and was very tasty! The fresh fruit was to die for. We opted for a room with a balcony, overlooking a beautiful little park and enjoyed people watching in the afternoons. Take a quick stroll to visit a variety of different restaurants and parks, purchase a snack from a street vendor or go salsa dancing - all within steps of this hotel. We visited the nearby grocery store often, as well as the little gelato shop nearby. A walk to the park where monkeys and sloths live is only a few minutes walk away! I opted to stay within Cartagena’s walled city and am glad I made that choice. Staying in the modernized resort-style area of ‘New’ Cartagena is also a choice, but I preferred the historic look and feel of the walled city much more and would make that choice again. Hotel Casa La Fe made us feel as though we were staying with family! It added to the charm of the city and offered the peace and comfort we needed after our days out exploring.

My wife and I had a great experience at Hotel Casa La Fe. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful in ensuring our stay was enjoyable. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities around the city including arranging reservations for us throughout our stay. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and included a lot of different options. We particularly enjoyed the roof top pool and lounge area. It was a great place to relax and cool off after a long day. We highly recommend Casa La Fe for couples looking for a place to stay in Cartagena.
