"El Pueblito Sayulita is perfect just for that, with rooms that are designed like homes with comfy living rooms and kitchenettes. Still, the colorful, Mexican-owned boutique hotel is outfitted with everything travelers need for a great stay: an on-site restaurant, a pool, and a prime spot in front of one of the best surf beaches in Sayulita." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Great location for walking to the beach and plaza. Enjoyed being able to rent a golf cart straight from the hotel to tour around. Room was spacious for our family of 5 and the kitchen was well equipped to cook breakfasts. Morning yoga included for guests was a nice touch. Complaint would be that we were charged 300 pesos during check out for an already stained bed sheet that the staff used when our bedding was changed. The staff were not willing to own up to it and handled it very poorly. Not sure we would go back to stay here for this reason as it was a disappointing end to our trip.

Good location the rooms were excellent and cleaned every day. Children friendly and the pool was very popular. There is also a rooftop terrace which is a nice place to have a drink and listen to the music from nearby bars drifting up. The hotel management, breakfast staff and cleaners were always helpful. We had a good breakfast every day for 11 days. Recommended.

We stayed with family in a two bedroom suite facing the pool. The room was spacious, clean and had almost everything we needed. I wish they added Kleenex tissue, hair conditioner and robes in the suites. ||There is no gym but they had yoga Monday-Saturday at 8am. This was great and the view from the top was nice.||Our room included Mexican breakfast and it was great. Be advised, the portions were small. Regardless, we enjoyed it.||The pool and jacuzzi were COLD! The sun does not his the pool at any hour so the water does not get any heat. My kids enjoyed it and swam anyway. ||We rented a golf cart and took a tour of Sayulita. You can walk everywhere and everyone is so nice. We enjoyed getting to check out the city and beaches. ||Sayulita is a safe beach city with all the authenticity of Mexico. If you are looking for luxury, this town is not it. If you are looking for a place to walk around, enjoy great food, shop, and have fun.. this is it.

We stayed at the hotel Casa Loteria for two nights and it met most of our expectations! Family friendly, a nice pool, and pretty conveniently located for stores and restaurants and not far at all from the beach. I have stayed at many three star hotels and I come in with the expectation that furniture and things may be worn but I always expect it to be clean. Our room was not clean as can be seen (in the pictures I posted) of all the dirt on and around the doorknob and door. What appears to also be gecko poop on the wall could have been wiped off before it was turned over to us. Maybe there have been employee problems or housekeeping staff issues but that is for the management to work out. I honestly would give these folks another chance but check out the room before. Breakfasts were included with our room and the staff in the restaurant did a good job. The flatware and plates were clean and they were very polite and courteous. I gave it three stars on service because of the housekeeping.... There was no housekeeping. During our two night stay not once did anyone enter our room or do any kind of trash collection or refill the toilet paper. Absolutely nothing.

Positives: the rooms are spacious and have enough in the kitchen if you want to do some basic cooking. The courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast can be good if received hot. Wifi exists Negatives: the street had no stewardship (dirty, garbage, fallen leaves for the last month, cars that hadn't moved in the last few weeks), the room could have been cleaner, the cold to lukewarm breakfast. Wifi is weak in the rooms. The free coffee is worth exactly what you paid for it. My wife almost cried when we pulled up in front of the hotel after dark after a full day of travel. Our first impression was such that I actually discussed with the family leaving to find a new hotel. The cold omelet for breakfast the next morning reinforced that management was lax. The only reason we stayed was that the nearby beach was the best and that the staff promised to serve us a hot omelet the next day. We stayed for 5 nights mostly due to the beach. Our last morning, the morning that we left for home, two hotel employees attacked the street for two hours. What a difference! It looked like what it should have looked like when we arrived....seriously. If 2 hours could keep all your clients from feeling deflated upon arrival, why wouldn't you make such a small investment in a good first impression?

The hotel itself is very cute and the suite was nice. The Staff just doesn’t give a shit about their paying customers. They couldn’t accommodate enough towels they said they had no more bath towels left. You’re a hotel, what do you mean there aren’t any towels left? (I walked past two rooms filled with what looked like clean bath towels) The jacuzzi didn’t work and when we asked why they said they’d have it checked the next day. Next day came and nothing was new so we asked again and each time we asked there was a new story/excuse. It felt like they just didn’t care honestly. OH and the shower had no hot water. The water was cold I had goosebumps in the shower. So i’m assuming the entire building just didn’t have running hot water. We were disappointed and we won’t be staying here again.

The room was so perfectly decorated; the front desk so kind and helpful. The architecture and plantings made for a true mexican authentic feel rather than so many of the fake feeling resorts. It is a precious gem and the people care. I have to work all the time…rest assured the internet is super solid.

Lovely hotel with delicious breakfast options! Rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Front staff was always eager to help and were happy to share recommendations for food and activities in Sayulita. We would certainly come back!
