Bear in mind I'm a tired - make that STILL tired - traveler, so perhaps this is less generous than my usual, but it seems to me there are two business models operating here, fundamentally at odds.
The rooms and general facilities are lovely - no complaints there - but I come to a hotel first and foremost to sleep. The restaurant and its associated processes (which, to be fair, I have not yet been to - hopefully breakfast will be good) cut into that BADLY. Random people being loud it seems you can hardly avoid anymore; I wouldn't dock for that. Kitchen cleanup and setup noise...very loud, but 'unavoidable'; I would take a point and think I was being mean. But the conversations being carried on in loud voices, almost YELLS at times, in the late hours of the night and then again at 5:30 in the morning?? With people trying to sleep all around you?
Decide which business you're in, people. I would rather go out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - readily available in the immediate vicinity - than have them available at such a cost.
[Edit - I'm giving back a star because admittedly the noise was the only thing. I was writing in a certain bitterness of spirit before, which a good breakfast helped. Seriously though - tell your folks to be quiet at night - it is maddening to be exhausted and still unable to sleep!]
