This was our third visit in the last 12 months, and everything was a good as ever. We enjoy boutique type hotels with their excellent personal attention, comfortable rooms, and peace and quiet. We stayed for 3 nights and ate dinner each night. The menu is simply but tasty and well prepared. The breakfast buffet , I think , will satisfy all tastes, and the fact they have a good coffee machine makes a big difference. We cant handle that awful Nescafe instant stuff which is so popular with Chileans. I continue to recommend this place if you want to be in Zapallar, in a very good hotel, with excellent attention

Therr is much to like about this place. It's friendly, with good architecture in a lovely town. It is at the top of the hill, so a brisk walk back to the hotel from beach, but the location is great.||But two elements were really unsatisfactory. First, the internal soundproofing is awful. You get a lot of noise from around the hotel, and from other rooms. This place is not relaxing.||Second, two months after leaving, and with no notice, they charged my credit card a large sum. Apparently, this was not charged when we stayed, but it was a real shock. To do this is really unacceptable. The hotel was completely unrepentant, which leaves a very bad taste in the mouth.||There are better options in Zapellar.

We stayed for a night while driving through the coast of Chile with my wife. We had a very pleasant stay, which was particularly positive thanks to Christopher, the chef, waiter, all-in-one service officer. He really outdid himself and surprised us with his service and devotion to making everyone feel at home. A big Thank You!

Small rooms. We were with 3 people that barely fit in the room. Breakfast was ok. Shower was ok. Hotel is situated in the middle of the village. Pool is not bigger than a small jacuzzi. Very small. New towels every three days. All in all 3 stars.

We spent three nights here. It was mostly positive but not perfect. First, the good. The staff are lovely, the ambience delightful, the rooms very comfortable. The food was excellent, including dinner and breakfast. The major downside is internal noise - the rooms are not well soundproofed, so you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms and from the reception area. We were woken on two nights out of three by noise from other rooms. The location is good, but be aware that it is the top of the hill. It's a 15 minute walk to the beach, and the climb back up is not trivial. On the first night, they had no chef, and it's not easy to find another restaurant in the town on a Tuesday night in winter. On the second night, we ate at the hotel - there were two choices of starter and main, and three of dessert. The meal was fabulous. On the third night, we wanted to eat at the hotel again, but the menu was exactly the same as the previous night, but with fewer options for dessert. We opted to eat in the village. It seemed odd to have such a small menu but not to vary it from one night to the next. Overall, we liked this place, but given the noise, we might stay elsewhere next time.

this was our second visit. as before, we found the service impeccable, the staff go out of their way to make your stay a good one. rooms are well decorated, there is a small roof top terrace with a tiny pool, just for cooling off. The breakfasts have a good variety of choices, and there is a good espresso machine available all day , plus fruit, tea and bidcuits. Evening meals are simple but well prepared and the chef will try to accomodate any special requests. This is by far the best hotel in the area, and is about a 5 minute walk to the beautiful clean beach.

We cut our visit to La Serena short…didn’t like our hotel or the vibe of the city in general. Just by chance we went to Zapallar after reading the (sadly) short review of the town in Fodor’s. What a gem this hotel and city were…we wished we’d found the spot earlier in our planning because we could’ve spent a few days here. The hotel is beautiful. Staff spoke beautiful English. We also decided to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. It felt like we had a private chef. We had a spectacular fresh fish dish and the people next to us had what looked like amazing steaks. The place just couldn’t have been more accommodating during our all-too-short stay. We took a stroll down the truly beautiful beach, small harbor, and climbed the small cerro right on the coast and were treated to amazing views of the dramatic coast. Guess I have to stop the review now because I’ve run out of superlatives!

Feeling at home with elegance. ||Details are the word that can resume this small hotel: fresh flowers, coffee, biscuits, books, nice music, and elegant common spaces. ||The manager was absolutely welcoming and paying attention to make us feel unique and at home.|Rooms are simple but comfortable and the bed it's atomic. |Food is delicious to have a dinner and adapted to your preferences.
