Terrible. Super loud and with very poor rooms. Reviews that mention valet are outdated. You have to self park at a lot 3 blocks away. Poor noise control makes the rooms noisy until late, and then again early. Wouldn’t stay again.

Pros:||- Location is great.. right in front of the Cathedral of Morelia||and that is the only good thing this hotel has.||Cons:||- Beds are as hard as the floor..extremely uncomfortable.||- No Air Conditioner: i couldnt believe that in 2024 in a hot country as Mexico a hotel didnt have AC, instead only offer 2 fans.||- the rooms with balcony are extremely noisy, especially Thursdays to Sunday. The noise is unbearable from all of the Street performers, Fireworks, Motocycles, Taxi horns, Ambulances or the Constant music playing from the nearby restaurants on the same sidewalk as the hotel.||- if you book via Booking.com or any other online agency and there is any issue or you need to modify your stay, you are out of luck... The Management will not take ANY RESPONSIBILITY or OWNERSHIP. I reserved 7 nights and i left after 3 because all the issues mentioned above. HOTEL MANAGEMENT refused to cancel or accomodate my needs. not even acknowledged my early checkout...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER....||- We heard their Restaurant food was good but it was always empty while we stayed there. We did not eat there because it doesnt look clean. too close to the super busy street, dusty and smoky. I guess locals didnt like their food either.||||bottom line:||If you like SWEATY, RESTLESS and SLEEPLESS nights, this is the hotel for you. Otherwise, AVOID this place at all COST.||Trip type||Vacation||Travel group||Couple||Rooms: 1||Service: 1||Location: 4||Rooms||the floor would be more confortable than the beds||Safety||if you arrived at night like we did, you have to be careful not to step on the homeless people sleeping on the front door.||Walkability||only plus it has... Location is great... it is in the middle of historic town.. close to everything.||Noteworthy details||Management only care about collecting their money.||Hotel highlights||Great view

If your trying to rest and get some sleep then go find another hotel because they make to much noise late at night and super early in the morning the staff started playing music and making lots of noise

I highly recommend this hotel! Excellent service, clean and right in the heart of the city

The hotel is in a perfect location but the staff was a bit rude when I first approached them. I was ignored for a good 5 minutes even though I was right in front of them trying to get their attention! Other than that, it was clean, affordable, and perfectly located near EVERYTHING that a tourist would want to see. There’s a restaurant in the hotel but I don’t know how good it was because we didn’t try their food. There was a nightclub next door with loud music that we can hear it all night, but didn’t bother me.

Great location, rooms were very Spartan. Not even a picture on the wall or a place to hang a towel. Would definitely not recommend the restaurant. Ordered the fruit yogurt and granola for breakfast. Got a teaspoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of granola and very little fruit.

The location is great and staff was pretty accommodating. However, this may be my fault for not doing enough research, but the rooms were incredibly HOT. There is no AC and they do have two tower fans in the room but barely blow out any cool air. My family and I ended up having to switch hotels the next day because it became unbearable. There is also no elevator but that was not a huge deal.

My first stay at Hotel Casino Morelia and will definitely come back. The location is excellent, in the middle of the historic district, across the Cathedral. I stayed at a quiet room (not facing the street) at the end of the hallway on the 1st floor, room 125. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that rooms don’t have air conditioning or ceiling fans. It does get warm in the afternoon in September and I know they had record high temperatures in June/July. Luckily there were a couple of portable oscillating tower fans that helped circulate air in the room. My room had only one window, but no mosquito net. I did not have problems with mosquitos though, only a couple of moths got in, but they didn’t bother me. Overall I had a nice stay. Graciela was the housekeeper, whom provided outstanding service. She was friendly and made sure my room was clean, restocked water bottles and toiletries when needed.

Yelp
We got five rooms. Some were big and nice, some were very small, but decent overall. Hotel is beautifully decorated and well taken care of. Hot water takes a very, very long time to come out. Mote than 20 minutes sometimes. Room was clean but shower could have been cleaner. Food is decent and service is good. We only had a problem one day because it was my nieces birthday and we got her cake and got together at the restaurant and ordered drinks, they were upset because we didn't get the cake there, but they don't have cakes! We were there for four nights and were not going to let a 9 year old birthday be ruined because of the stupidity of the hotel management, so we cut the cake and sang to her anyway. Here are some pictures of the room I was in. It didn't have a balcony but it still had a nice view.

Yelp
For years I stayed here and it was ok. 2024 was a horrible experience m, they denied giving us water twice and we're very rude. The rooms r ok but they b3ed to upgrade and install air conditioners with all the money they charge. Will be staying in different hotels now. Also no parking but 4 blocks away and we have to walk back and forth to get our cars.

Yelp
Great location, great food and service . What I didn't like is that they don't have a parking lot you have to drive 3 to 4 blocks away to Rosas Parking . Then to top it off the guy running it is a total dick . The rooms are a little outdated . Only 2 people in the elevator. Talk about old . If you want AC forget they have 2 vertical fans that do cool but it's not the same . Again the people there are very friendly and great service and I know it's not there fault for the conditions they are doing there best with what they have . I wouldn't mind staying there again but probably wouldn't bring my car because it's very inconvenient and I didn't feel confident leaving it there .

Yelp
I love the hotel the history the architecture is phenomenal. The hand painted on the walls. The room was clean and the maintenance lady was always on top of putting clean sheets and towels every day. I worked for the most prestigious hotels internationally and this hotel by far gave the five star luxury. If you think Melia, velas, sandals etc you name it. It gives the comfort and the lu cocina osea wow! Definitely recommend and will come back.

Yelp
I just traveled to Morelia with my parents for a week. My experience at the hotel was amazing. All the employees were very welcoming, the maid service was great every single day. The hotel was clean and well kept. The food was good and not too pricey. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I am currently staying at Hotel Casino, and the food is pricey and not exactly great, the view is fine but it may not be worth the noise or lack of Air Conditioning. Finally, the internet which they say requires a password--but in fact is an open network that is ridiculously bogged down. For a business traveler who requires respectable bandwidth (it is Mexico after all), quiet nights, and climate controlled rooms--I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. It's all window dressing and no substance. Buyer beware!
