Spent one night in this delightful hotel with my adult family in April and it was WAY TOO SHORT!! Lourdes is a fabulous hostess, very warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is SO charming, many (all) period features, exquisitely decorated. We could find nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, probably our favourite hotel in all the places we visited in Spain. Albarracin itself is a wonderful mountain village, breathtakingly beautiful! So worth a visit. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Everything about this petite, boutique hotel is superb. Its situation, on a ridge just within the castle walls, leads you directly to the tumble of streets of the old town. Lourdes, the proprietor, welcomed us as if friends into her home and showed every kindness. The building old and quirky, has stairs and passages leading to the 6 rooms. Each room is distinctive, ours spacious, bedecked in blue with a canopy bed and stunning views. The facilities, comfortable bed, well appointed and equipped bathroom, show an attention to detail which enables you to relax. The common room served as a place to read in the evening and take a simple, fresh breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed the tranquility and quality of this wonderful place. We have booked to return to explore more of the area in the autumn

This wonderful little hotel gives the feel of living in one of albarracin’s amazing houses. ||The 18c house is set right at the upper part the town in a traffic free area under the castle keep.||The charming rooms are each individually styled, with tasteful decor, subtle lighting and glorious views. The intimate and elegant dining/ reading room is a perfect place to relax as is the garden with its view directly over the Cathedral. Lourdes, the owner, greets you warmly and caters to your needs with charm, efficiency and a ready smile.

My partner and I enjoyed a couple of lazy days in Albarracin, staying at La Casona del Ajimenez, which we absolutely loved. It's just up behind the Cathedral, inside the old town with incredible views from every room in the ancient old house, and easy access by car to unload. Lourdes, the owner, immediately treated us like family, offering us the run of the house and the little garden up and behind the house, which is built into the hill. We really enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely return. It's a great value too.

See the comments by Luis V, he describes the experience very well. A few details: Reserve early to get the top floor quiet rooms (with head-bumper ceilings); Menora room was fantastic. Driving to the hotel is puzzling at first but easy thereafter: drive south up the hill taking the closest road east of the tunnel, ignoring the 2 road signs that indicate "no entry" (these are for non-residents). Stay on the main road up the hill to the parking lot on top at the end and walk to La Casona. Congratulations on your decision to visit Albarracin - it was the most charming and "un-tourist-infested" town we visited in 5 weeks in Spain, and La Casona del Ajimez completed the dream-like experience.

Arrived for a one night stay after an incredible summer storm had just passed through. Situated a few hundred meters from the top car park this beautifully decorated hotel has views over the town and valley. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, giving us a choice of room (all decorated in different styles). Some English was spoken fortunately. Climbing up to the towns walls for the view is well worth the small effort.

A wonderful and unusual hotel that captures the atmosphere of this beautiful village. ||The rooms are traditional, cosy, stay cool and have lovely views over the village. Developed out of one of the old village houses you really feel part of the life of the village when you stay here. Just five minutes walk from the dathederal and central square, with a warm and good humoured welcome and help with any questions about the village or places to eat.

If you want to be in the best place to see a magnificent landscape of Albarracin being inside the village, if you want to enjoy a very confortable room as a unique place to rest, to talk, to imagine, different to other kind of "classical" hotels, if you want to be inspired and dream an old village being a part of its History, if you want to have rememorable conversations in a garden under a castle, watching -close- the Cathedral, if you want to know another concept of "luxury", if you want to know a very special, proffesional, helpful, attentive and warm person... this is the place, and Lourdes is the person. I cant imagine a best place to be in Albarracin.
