I was there for Spring Break of 2013 with my girlfriend, and loved it!! The hotel is located in a very central location to get to know all of Asturias, especially Ribadesella and the beautiful Picos de Europa. The rooms are very nice, with a clean rustique touch that gives it a lot of charm. Nice breakfast in the terrace overlooking the Sella River, (try their croissant, it is great!). The owner is extremely nice and helpful in organizing day trips. overall great experience!

We spent 3 wonderful nights here!||The room was very nice with a covered balcony and a fantastic view along the valley to the Picos Europas. Breakfast was very enjoyable: well prepared and served with a smile and joke!||By far the star is the host Paloma: she is great fun, a brilliant drawer of maps to guide your exploration of the area and she knows everything, everywhere in the area and gave us really good advice on beautiful places not so many people seem to know. She also gave us very good recommendations for places for lunch that were always superb food at a reasonable price.||||We really enjoyed our time there and will surely return!

This hotel is in a fantastic location, situated between the village square with the town hall and easy parking and the impressive River Sella which flows rapidly along the side of the Hotel. I had a lovely room on the first floor with a double bed, flat screen TV, en suite shower room and glass doors to a wonderful reading room with sofa and large windows overlooking the river and surrounding countryside and mountains.||The decor of the hotel feels very English, many of the fabrics and wallpapers are from the UK and add to the friendly traditional feel of the Hotel. The hotel is old, it is run by the lovely owner Paloma who speaks English and is very obliging and makes you feel at home.||The restaurant with huge galley windows overlooking the River offers an excellent daily menu at just 10€ for 3 dishes and then the evening a la Carte offers a small but interesting menu of local specialities and great wines or of course the local cider. Breakfast was served in the front lounge but in the summer months it can be served in the restaurant too.||Fantastic location, good, clean and comfortable ideal for clients who want to enjoy the real Spain and soak up a traditional atmposhere.

The location was fantastic to explore Asturias. The Hotel was just what we wanted, somewhere clean, quiet, very comfortable and very well priced in the centre of a traditional village. Paloma was so helpful providing us with a map and places of interest to visit, clearly marked. Without this information we would have missed the best days out that we enjoyed.||We enjoyed our breakfast each morning, sat with a view of the River Sella from the restaurant galley windows, contemplating the route of the day.

I absolutely loved the charm of the Casona del Sella. It was the former home of a man who made his fortune in Cuba then was lovingly renovated into a 14 bedroom hotel. Each room was beautifully decorated with style and grace. I am an American who loves experiencing the charm of Spain. If I wanted to stay in a Holiday Inn I would stay at home. The owner knew all the best places to go and loved sharing her knowledge of the multitude of things to do while in this region. We ate like kings in lugares that we would never had found had it not been for her information. The views in the morning on the terrace were intoxicating.||What a TREAT!

I expected the hotel to be more rural and quiet but in fact it is next to a busy road on a bridge leading out of the town. The rooms are rather rundown but adequate and on one side they overlook the river and the mountains in the distance, on the other side overlooking the car-park plaza. Very cosy sitting room which, on grey, drizzly days, would be fine to hole up in. Breakfasts simple and basic. It is a two-star hotel and as such in fine for stopping off for a couple of days. Nearby is Covadonga and lake - one of the most touristy, tacky, heaving with tour coaches, spoilt places I have ever visited. Maybe out of season it is better!

A wonderful experience. Each day stayed was another adventure. Hiking and riding in Mountains one day; Seashore the next. Hidden away restaurants pointed out by the staff produced some of the best food I've ever eaten. Don't go here to diet. Go to feast! When everyone else was sweltering in the summer, these mountains to the seashore are cool and invigorating. How could you not love it?
