Slightly disappointing for a hotel which was shown as #2 of 9 in Tripadvisor. 3rd floor room was quiet in October, but was rather basic. The room and bathroom had been renovated recently, but the bathroom drains smelled a bit. The place was clean, and the beds were comfortable (e: soft-ish). Good free internet, convenient free parking just outside the hotel, and a pleasant welcome in reception. ||Breakfast was adequate but no more: irritatingly you have to go and ask for a coffee whereas teas are self-service. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the main square and the beginning of the walk up to the castles & basilica which offer stupendous views over the town and surrounding mountains.

Checked in by a lovely girl on our arrival. We had booked The Alpine Room and it did not disappoint. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean with a balcony that offered stunning views.|The candles were a lovely touch and l loved the wooden floors. A very comfy bed and was nice and quite.|We didn't have time for breakfast.|Would loved to have used the outside Jacuzzi but had a charge of 20CH each breakfast was extra too.|Free parking.|Good Wi-Fi. |Overall a good experience.|

I've been staying at this hotel off and on for many years. It was closed for a time for renovations and this visit, of more than a week, was my first after that work. What a difference! The decor is bright and modern, the restaurant/bar area not cluttered and the rooms appear more spacious (which is incredible because they are the same rooms). Don't expect great luxury, but do count on a very comfortable bed in a spotless room with free wi-fi. Breakfast is adequate, not stunning, but the restaurant is very good. The service is friendly and efficient. A kettle for tea/coffee making would be a farther improvement. So, if you are looking for a good, well situated hotel in Sion, this one has a lot to offer.

When on business in Sion, there not may choices to stay overnight. We booked this hotel but it was disappointing. Rooms are spacious and very clean, though basic. Bathroom is small but sufficient for one person. The one huge problem is the noise. We stayed on 1st floor. Rooms are not isolated properly so I could hear every single word of person talking on the phone in room next to mine and I could hear clearly the TV news of the other room next to mine. You can hear guests using toilet, washing etc.- just all. Also, I could hear every guest entering the hotel reception or walking stairs or hall. In short, it kept me from sleeping until 1:00am. Then again at 6:00 I woke up to very irritating noise of vacuum cleaner in the reception/bar area. I appreciate the focus on cleanness but be prepared to be deprived of sleep in a very comfy bed. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was terrible, so if you can, don't eat there.

Having stayed at many hotels throughout the world, this hotel falls far short of the standards we have encountered for the same price elsewhere.||||We booked a junior suite at 216 swiss francs per night and although the accommodation was adequately spacious, the whole feel of the building was like being in a 1970's communist block where everything feels very utilitarian. e.g thin walls, nothing artistic about any of the decor both inside and outside, soft bed, noise from the road and railway line. Because we were on the top floor we had quite a nice view of the mountains and hills surrounding the town, but other than that we did not feel as though we were actually in Switzerland, where we have enjoyed many stays in much nicer hotels.

Personnel from reception and bar-restaurant was very helpful and friendly.||Room very clean, everything was new. Bathroom very clean and totally new, suitable for 1 person, not very big, with shower cabin. Comfortable bed.||Noise isolation between chambers is poor, but after 22:00 it was quiet.||For outside noise there was good isolation, no noise.||Price was a bit higher than in other locations in Sion, at the same hotel category.||Distance from train station was 10-12 minutes by foot.||Breakfast was basic, but coffee was real (from espresso machine, not soluble), which I appreciated.

The hotel has just been totally renovated. The rooms are modern and adequately furnished. The bed comfortable. Flat screen provides cable television with a very large selection of programs including all the BBC and ITV channels. Insulation seems to be good as I didn't hear any of my neighbours and this despite the wooden floor. The only downside to this hotel is that it lies close to the motorway which is audible if you sleep with open windows (there is no air conditioning and it normally gets hot in summer). On the other hand if you are travelling by car this could be an asset as is the large car parking facilities. It is only about 5 minutes walk into the old town and an additional ten to the railway station. Good value for money if you exclude breakfast which was very basic and in my opinion not worth the 10 CHF charged.

I stood in this Hotel for 3 Nights. The Room was clean and seemed very new renovated. Stuff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay, but the buffett was not very large. Good coffee. The Bar/Restaurant should be longer open at the weekend.
