Hotel Catalonia Conde De Floridablanca

Hotel is across the river from the city centre but it is well served by two foot bridges and one that allows traffic||It takes 10 mins to walk from the hotel to the cathedral and pretty much everywhere in Murcia||The rooms are very clean and the staff are nice||I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for 40€ per night to get a balcony but there isn’t a great view around the hotel due to other buildings being an alley-width away so I declined this||The pool is very small - only 1m deep and there’s a sign saying that only 6 people should be in it at a time ( but there were sometimes a couple more than that)||There’s only about 11 loungers by the pool and there was only one day that I couldn’t get one - the loungers are good quality and comfortable and the towels were always available and a good size||The pool bar is fully manned at all times but it is not well stocked - when you order a drink, the poor barman had to go out to the hallway and phone the main bar and order your drink and then come back and take payment and then someone from the main bar would come up in the lift with your drink||Could do with having more drinks available or at least install a phone/order system inside his side of the bar to make life easier and a bit more streamlined for guests||I found the hotel very quiet at night. The blackout curtain was very black and the bed was comfy so I slept really well

A friendly, comfortable hotel very near to the centre of the city. All the staff were lovely. We had a tasty lunch and evening meal and the breakfast was excellent. The room was quiet and comfortable and we slept well. We visited with my elderly parents who also had a lovely stay. Highly recommended

The Catalonia is a really nice hotel. The reception staff are excellent; very friendly and helpful. The car park is easy to find, with a little map - literally 2 minutes walk back to the hotel. We visited with our very elderly parents for one night and stayed in the hotel for a drink and a meal in the restaurant. The gastro bar food is very good, as is the excellent service. I don’t hesitate to recommend the Catalonia.

We were greeted with a smile, the employees speak English. After a long and tired journey, jacuzzi pleasure, very comfortable beds and treats.. We loved it very much, I recommend it to everyone.

The Ugly; Never, EVER use the hotel parking, it's unsafe, the space wouldn't fit a large golf cart, there will be damage to your vehicle. |The Bad; Pool is closed indefinitely. One person only at front desk means long waits and they are not helpful. A guest in our party had a copy of their passport (plus a driver's license), were told they would not be admitted without an original. Front desk was going to kick out the entire party, only after insisting on speaking with manager was the situation (reluctantly and unpleasantly) resolved. |The Good; The rooms with terraces on the top floor are absolutely beautiful. Room services is very good. Location is very good, walk to everything in nice area. |Really wanted to give more stars, this could be a great hotel with a better, more helpful staff and a functioning pool and garage.

Very nice hotel and employees. Well located, all the amenities you will need, gym and pool included. A must have if you are going to spend few days in Murcia

Had a really great day in the Catalonia hotel in Murcia. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were actually perfect. I had a great room. Had a perfect night sleep and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely great. You could go up to the buffet as many times as you want, and it was perfect. The hotel staff and service was absolutely amazing. Would recommend this highly the sitting area in the lobby is very comfortable and very appealing. The decor is fabulous. The hotel is situated right in the centre just one minute walk from the main river that runs through the centre of Murcia and a couple of minutes walk directly from the cathedral which is the main dominant feature in the centre of the city.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel, thanks to the excellent service from the entire team. The hotel was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was impressive, offering everything from a full English breakfast to continental options. The pool area was great, complete with bar service. The reception staff was competent, helpful, and accommodating to all my needs. The bar service was also top-notch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in a well-managed hotel, and I would continue to stay with the Catalonia Hotel group.

Lovely small hotel. Friendly and helpful peeps. Nice breakfast. No on-site parking but there is a municipal lot not too far away. Recommend.

Fabulous rooms! Great staff. Great location. Cute cafe in lobby and parking was no problem.
