I recently stayed at Hotel Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona and really enjoyed my time there. The rooms are a little bit small, but they were quiet, the location is perfect, and everything was very clean. The staff were very helpful, especially Paula at the front desk—she was amazing and recommended great restaurants. The metro and bus stop are right in front of the hotel, which makes transportation very easy. The only downside is that the street in front of the hotel is for cars, so taxis cannot stop or park directly at the entrance. Thank you, Paula — you are the best! Definitely, it will be my first choice when I return to Barcelona.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and I must say the experience exceeded my expectations. The location is outstanding, making it extremely convenient for meetings and easy access to key areas of the city. Whether you need quick transportation or want to explore nearby restaurants after work, everything is within reach. The staff is truly exceptional. From check-in to check-out, they were professional, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request. Their warm attitude creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel valued as a guest, which is especially important when traveling for work. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. After a long day of meetings, having a quiet and well-maintained space to relax is priceless. The bed was great, the layout practical, and the amenities provided everything I needed for a productive stay. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped, which added to the overall comfort. In short, this hotel combines convenience, quality, and excellent service. It’s a perfect choice for business travelers who want reliability and comfort without compromise. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area for work or leisure.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Barcelona. The property is stunning—new, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The service was excellent, and every staff member we met was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, stylish, and very pleasant to stay in. Breakfast was delicious and offered a rich variety of options. Highly recommended!

We spent an unforgettable week in this hotel with my wife. It provided the perfect base for exploring all the beauty Barcelona has to offer. There are several things worth highlighting. The location of the hotel is brilliant — everything is within reach and you can walk to all the important places. The hotel itself is fantastic: beautiful and cozy inside, with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was perfect, with a lovely balcony, and even though it faced a very busy street, the windows are excellently soundproofed, so you can sleep comfortably. The breakfast was outstanding — everything you can imagine is available, and once again the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. We are planning another trip to Barcelona next year and we hope we will be able to return to this wonderful hotel.

Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well maintained rooms. The location of this hotel is great, if you like to walk you can walk to most things. The location is very convenient. Shopping, food, touristic sites are all a short walk away. Public transport is also very close by with multiple options. The staff are all very friendly and always helpful.

We stayed at Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona for two nights prior to a nine day cruise. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are terrific and the room was especially nice. We had breakfast both mornings and it was wonderful well priced and it is a perfect location for anything you want to do in Barcelona. On our return from the cruise, our shipped docked at 5:30 in the morning and we have to leave the ship by 8 AM. We decided we would go and drop our bags off at the hotel but to our amazement they said our room was ready and we could go ahead straight to our room. This has never happened in any hotel we’ve ever stayed in, which makes it one of our top choices around the world. We will definitely come back to Catalonia Passeig de Gracia in our future trips

The location is great. It's safe and within walking distance to several popular places. The metro is close too. They have a garage but parking is extremely limited and it's hard to drive in that area of the city. The staff, overall, are good. A little direct but still helpful. The rooms are just okay and, like everything else in Barcelona, overpriced for what you get. The restaurant food is quite poor. Okay for sustenance eaters and that's it. I consumed a soda from the minibar that cost 3,50 euros and somehow I was charged $4.78 on my credit card statement when the true exchange rate was $4.17. I think they charged me in dollars knowing that it would be more.

We had an excellent experience thanks to Rey. He helped us a lot with unloading our luggage on the nearby street and provided great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Always kind, always smiling, and always happy to assist. He is truly an asset to this hotel.

Yelp
I stayed here with a friend in a Duplex Suite. The Duplex Suite was on the top floor and took up two levels. The upper level had a private terrace with an outdoor shower, a bedroom, a sink, and a toilet. Downstairs we had a sofa bed, desk, mini bar, coffee maker, and a bathroom with a shower. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The location on Gran Via was very good. It was a short walk to Plaça Catalunya, Casa Batlló, Casa Milá, Palau de música, La Rambla, and Barrí Gotíc. It was also very easy to catch a cab to La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The two women in the breakfast room were also very pleasant and hard working. There were several choices in the breakfast room including melted chocolate.

Yelp
When I booked the hotel I did it to find a good location and good value and it sure exceeded my expectations! The staff is nice, super attentive, professional and more than happy to answer any questions, in my case Joan treated me like a valued guest and made sure I had everything that I needed for a great stay thank you! As for the rooms well wow! They are modern, beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, well kept, comfortable, extra bedding (in case you get cold), coffee, safe, robes, sandals and a mini bar. Well equipped for a great stay! I checked out the pool area, business center, and the sitting area close to the bar and those are nice and inviting. It is close to restaurants, the metro station, plaza Catalunya and walking distance to many things. A good and accessible location. There is a restaurant inside hotel that serves a breakfast buffet and it has a good selection. From the time I walked in to the moment I left, I got a great experience and it sure did exceed my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
Wonderful service, very clean, quiet. A boutique hotel in Barcelona that speaks English! Surprising that something this good, open for 2 years, and this is its first Yelp review. My 9 day stay proved to be most noteworthy. Located in the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, between Passeig de Gràcia and Pau Claris, this hotel is nearby to Catalunya square. It's a perfect location just far enough away from the very touristy area, but close enough to Las Rambla and great stores when you want it. Smallish, 74 rooms, I found it the perfect size to not feel like a number yet not to be be small to have some privacy. A happy hour is offered free to hotel guests with wine, cocktails, tapas, and a few sweets. An outdoor pool with terrace, fitness room and free Wi-Fi connection -- is all good. The rooms are warmly decorated, very clean, and upscale. In fact, for $150/night -- this is a steal. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This hotel is a waste of your money. We booked a suite. The Air Conditioning in the room wouldn't cool below 74 degrees Fahrenheit, as if it is limited by the thermostat We complained on the first day and they said they would look into it. On the second day of our 3 day stay and no resolution. When we call the front desk, they offer us an inferior room with zero compensation for the suite that we originally booked. Additionally, they claim to have blow dryers in the rooms. They do not work. When you call the front desk, they claim they have one that works but that it is already on loan to another guest. Stay away!!!!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying here after my travel companions had departed to fly back to the States. How wonderful it turned out to be! First off, they offer very affordable rates for such an upscale area. It is in a fantastic location; walkable to all of the great shops, restaurants and cafes, Gaudi sites... and more! I was immediately greeted by Oriol at the front desk. He was more than helpful in assisting me with suggestions and directions throughout my stay. Very professional and very cordial. My room was delightful: The most comfortable bed I had slept on in 2 weeks, and a beautiful bathroom with bathrobe and amenities. "Wine Time" just off of the lobby was wonderful and was comprised of a comfortable place to sit with delicious complementary tapas served with a glass of choice (I enjoyed a delicious Cava). The perfect way to unwind after walking and shopping! Upon my checkout early the next morning, Jose Luis cheerfully took care of lifting my bags outside and hailing a cab for me; this while he offered even more suggestions for my next Barcelona visit- -which for sure will be at the Catalonia Passeig de Gracia!

Yelp
We ended up staying here as we had booked last minute and another one of the chain due to finding our new apartment full of cockroaches!! Unfortunately because we'd booked last minute the other hotel was actually full, fortunately for us they moved us here! And it was wonderful! We barely had our selves together and we had our 11 month old son with us. They were so friendly and accommodating, everyone was happy talking with the baby. They were so lovely and up graded our room so we had a larger bed for all three of us and a bit more privacy. Shower was excellent, bed was huge, room was decorated nicely and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet with lots to choose from. My only teeny tiny complaint would be that the coffee/hot water machine wasn't working at breakfast but it wasn't a big deal. We had a lovely, all be it an emergency stay! Would definitely recommend!
