Hotel Catalonia Royal La Romana - Adults Only

The experience was incredible. The attention was excellent, and the service truly exceptional. The place is not only beautiful, but unlike many other resorts in Punta Cana it actually allows you to rest, disconnect, and enjoy real contact with nature. There’s a great variety of activities, and the atmosphere is amazing. Both the staff and the guests have an incredible vibe. We met people from all over the world, all very friendly and fun. We had such a great time that my sister and I became known as “the singers” after performing a song one night at karaoke. I want to give a special thanks to Catherine, one of the wonderful girls who work here. She was always there for my sister, my mom, and me, especially when my mom was sick for a couple of days. She took care of everything and made sure we were okay at all times. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommended, 100%.

Beautiful place! We had a lovely and relaxing holiday at Catalonia La Romana Adults Only. Everything was amazing — the room was very nice and kept sparkling clean, thanks to Reyna who was fantastic. The food at all the restaurants was plentiful and absolutely delicious — we especially loved the steak!||The entertainment team was outstanding — Sequetel, Fernando, and Estefan brought so much energy and enthusiasm, from organising morning yoga to putting on fun evening shows. They really added to our wonderful stay.||We’ll definitely be back! Such a memorable holiday — our only complaint is that we gained a few extra pounds from all the incredible food! 😄

My experience was absolutely fantastic thanks to the wonderful staff! Mariolis and Alan, the bartenders, were outstanding — friendly, skilled, and always ready with a great drink and a smile. Luz and Brianda, the restaurant hosts, made every visit feel warm and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And a special shoutout to Fernando, the entertainer — his energy and charisma brought so much life to the place! He made every moment fun and memorable. The whole team worked together beautifully, creating an amazing atmosphere that made me want to come back again and again. Thank you all for making my visit so special!

We have had a fantastic vacation! We have had amazing and personalized help and service from servers like Algeni! We got personalized drinks, and are building friendship. The food at each of the restaurants have been spectacular. We have also enjoyed the time in the multiple places to swim, beaches and pool are all top notch. It feels like we are vacationing with our family and some. It was also my birthday and we had a special romantic dinner on the beach with a spectacular lobster dinner. We would recommend this places to anyone and everyone. The people are wonderful, the food is wonderful, the accommodation is wonderful.

Woot! Go to Catalonia! We have been to the Dominican many times and this was by far our favorite trip and stay!! Fior was our waitress most night and was positively amazing! She made me feel like royalty, as if I was the only person at the resort 🥰. The spa exceeded all expectations! Great relaxing experience! The food is also top notch- not the standard buffet style! We were blown away each night! But, for serious FIOR! She killed it❤️❤️❤️

Wow! We had such a lovely experience at Catalonia La Romana. Plutarco (at Guest Services) made the check-in process pleasant, and he booked dinner reservations for us at each of the restaurants. We enjoyed the various cuisine offered at each restaurant; everything was presented and prepared perfectly!|Our room was perfect, and Reyna did an amazing job with making sure our stay was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. She was very attentive and thoughtful. |The experiences we had at Catalonia La Romana were just what we needed. A perfect vacation filled with adventures, the most beautiful beach in Bayahibe, and the kindness of every person who interacted with us.

It is our third time visiting the Dominican, the first time in La Romana (Bayahibe). |The staff are very friendly, very welcoming and always ready to cater to you. |The room was lovely, very spacious with a huge shower, always clean and always had fresh drinks and towels stocked up for us ready for the next day. |The only thing is the lack of view from the balcony. But that's not an issue when the beach is a 1 minute walk away. |It's a very relaxed vibe in the adults only hotel, however if you wanted a bit more lively there's plenty of events etc.. going on on the beach and in the sister hotel next door being a family hotel.|We got our stay at a brilliant price so the value was great. |Great hotel, would recommend again.

We had a lovely time at the Catalonia Royal. The room was huge and clean. The bed was big and comfy. Pool towels were changed in the room each evening. Very quiet at night. We overlooked the jacuzzi pool. We ate breakfast at the Thalassa restaurant each morning. There was plenty of choice and very fresh. We spent most of the day on the beautiful beach. I can't understand when people say there was no shade. No matter what time we got there, we had beds and a parasol. Admittedly, it wasn't directly on the beach, but still on the sand. We did find that sometimes the area around the beach bar smelt pretty bad. We ate lunch at the Terrace on one occasion, which was nice with a stunning view. Other than that, we popped to the family side restaurant for icecream however after seeing a child standing on the counter, we avoided it.|Evening meals....we had the best meals at the Thalassa restaurant, especially on Monday and Friday, which were buffet nights, and these nights were excellent. |We ate at the other restaurants and was not keen. We were very disappointed with Bloved, which had got rave reviews. I ordered the pork and apples .that's how it came, no veg or salad, nothing else, just weird!|The Chinese i ordered tasted like it had been cooked in orange fanta. |We had no problem with booking restaurants. |The actual hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful |There was plenty on during the day if you wanted to join in. Stretchy stretchy and a dance class each day. Sea aerobics, hat painting, towel modelling, etc.|Evening entertainment, there was always a singer to start with and then some form of entertainment afterwards. On the whole it was very good. We loved the silent disco night and learning to dance salsa, etc. The entertainment staff worked hard and were very friendly.. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the Couples games, not really our thing. We just went for a walk.|Yes, they did speak mostly Spanish, but you're on holiday, give it ago.|On the whole, we had a fantastic time chilling on the beach. We had a couple of afternoons of rain, so we just came back and swam in the pool.|Oh, and no sargassum!!|We took one trip to Soana, which we booked online.|We plan on returning to the Dominican Republic and this hotel. All in all, we had a fabulous time.|P.s im a chilly person, so I had to ask for a blanket. It was in my room before I got back
