Hotel Catalonia Royal La Romana - Adults Only

This was a very nice stay. The staff was adorable and so helpful, I admire those who were constatnly cleaning outdoor spaces, but everybody was sweet and professional. I highly appreciated the cleanliness. We loved our room, the beach and basically everything. What bothered me was the fact that all the good sun beds were reserved early morning. Food for AI resort was ok, but not excellent. Also I felt that some parts of the bedrooms could maybe use some renovating in the future. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The hotel itself is flawlessly maintained, with meticulous attention to detail throughout. The culinary experience was outstanding, complemented by an impressive variety of services and amenities that elevate the stay to a truly refined level. An exceptional hotel in every sense and one that comes with the highest recommendation.

We tasted many cocktails during our stay in Catalonia Royal. All the cocktails are very good and very refreshing. In this bar you will find Cristopher who is highly recommended for his nice mood. It makes your stay very comfortable and relaxed!!! Enjoy al the warm mood of the Caribbean people ❤️

My experience was absolutely fantastic thanks to the wonderful staff! Mariolis and Alan, the bartenders, were outstanding — friendly, skilled, and always ready with a great drink and a smile. Luz and Brianda, the restaurant hosts, made every visit feel warm and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And a special shoutout to Fernando, the entertainer — his energy and charisma brought so much life to the place! He made every moment fun and memorable. The whole team worked together beautifully, creating an amazing atmosphere that made me want to come back again and again. Thank you all for making my visit so special!

Upon arriving we was warmly welcomed by attentive staff and were shown our room. It was extremely spacious with twin sinks and bed large enough for 4 people. The beach was a 5 minute walk down a drive, but you could get a lift from reception to the beach via a luxurious golf cart. The sea, sand and sky just took my breath away. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the nearby nature reserve and thankfully within the impeccably kept grounds too. I was amazed that I spotted 4 endemic species during my stay. In the mornings look up at the palm trees and you’ll be sure to find a group of Hispaniolan woodpeckers having a morning discussion. Every single staff member from the lifeguards to the security. The cleaners to the gardeners were extremely polite and friendly. Would love to come back one day, but sadly we have an unofficial rule of always going somewhere different each time we travel. If this is your first time venturing to the Dominican Republic, hotel Catalonia is the perfect first stop. The island is absolutely stunning. The downsides. Buffet food was consistently cold. The water supplied tastes pretty dire and I think upset my stomach for 8 out of the 12 days. Dominican Republic! We will be back to your shores soon.

All very good. Great music and animation. happy people always happy to help to make your holiday a fab one. Sequetel is great at his job! Beach was rather busy. Resort not very spacious. Also all 4 of us ended up with sickness and diarrhoea. Another 3 people we spoke to who were leaving the sane time as us, also had had it.

I had an excellent experience at Catalonia Royal Bávaro thanks to Dileiny. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive from start to finish. Dileiny went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and always greeted us with a warm smile. Her service really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. Employees like her are what make this resort special. Highly recommend Catalonia Royal Bávaro—and shoutout to Dileiny for outstanding service!

Location and hotel were great. Spent the first week of holiday in Bavara Beach and was very excited to stay in thus Adult Only resort. Location and amenities were fabulous however the food was not great. I had an upset stomach for 3 of my 7 day stay and food poisoning on my last night. Didn't eat anything the last day as I was worried about my flight back to The UK. On speaking to other guests this happens regularly. The majority of the staff were great, staff at reception were so friendly however some of the staff in the restaurants were not very friendly. On one occasion we had to wait 10mins on an English menu and then approached immediately to place our order. Didn't get time to even read menu. A beautiful hotel but really needs to concentrate on food hygiene. The entertainment was excellent every evening.
