This is a noisy hotel which is permeated by smoke. We asked for a quiet room and got a room on the second floor near a side street. There were people smoking and talking in the street right beneath the room continuously. The restaurant is open till 11 pm and there is near constant noise from people downstairs until it closes. The sound echoes up the staircase and is constant in the room. The cathedral bells also go off every 15 minutes till midnight. Additionally there is the constant smell of smoke as people leave the restaurant to smoke either out front or next to the rooms on the side street, so our balcony was not usable and there was the smell of smoke in our room. We also had to constantly walk through a sea of smoke to get in and out of the hotel. The room itself was good size but the bathroom is quirky. It’s oddly shaped and the shower is largely open, with the open portion right in front of the wash basin so it’s virtually impossible to shower without getting water on the basin, which is the only place for toiletries, so they will get wet. The restaurant takes up most of the first floor leaving a tiny lobby so, in addition to people constantly coming in and out while it’s open, there’s really no lobby to linger in or a real hotel first floor. Overall This felt more like a restaurant with a few rooms to stay in than a hotel with a restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous little hotel. Just 20 rooms. We stayed in a superior double, which was well worth the little extra. Staff were amazing throughout the stay. We really enjoyed a drink on the rooftop terrace. Fabulous views. We also had tostadas and coffee in the onsite cafe opposite reception. Very reasonable and once again amazing service. You will hear the bells from the cathedral and nearby church at times, but it stops at midnight. Frankly, that just adds to the charm of this lovely hotel. Thanks for the amazing stay once again.

The hotel hosted a “candlelight concert” by CLUBGAUDIO. The poster of this concert showed part of the cathedral which was very misleading because it wasn’t in the cathedral but in the hotel, and in fact in one of their downstairs conference rooms with fake velvet chairs. We had paid for the purple zone which was 30 euros per person (two of us) and then the booking fee on top because we wanted a better view. When we got downstairs, we saw just a very small room with rows of chairs, there were no zones, not worth paying an extra 10 euros. In fact, we were told to move down the row to accomodate for a family… three chairs down and we were in a different zone and 10 euros cheaper. If it had been my daughter’s recital at a school, and free, I would have said, she played fairly well. This girl, came unprepared, made so many mistakes, stumbling over the keys and didnt even have anybody to turn the page for her (or she should have memorised the songs) because she struggled to play and to turn the pages. We rang the hotel and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, even though they were the ones to host the event. An awful evening , not worth the money and especially not the time.

Really lovely hotel. Smart and stylish and, on a very hot day, lovely and cool. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooftop terrace pool, bar and restaurant and all good too. We have recently done a tour of southern Spain stopping over in numerous hotels and we thinks that this was the best that we stayed in - it was a close call but we think this one just pipped it.

This hotel enjoys a beautiful location next to the fine cathedral on a palmtree-fringed square. We had a superior room with terrace overlooking the square. The room was a good size with well equipped bathroom. Cathedral bells are paused between midnight and eight am! The breakfast buffet was good and service throughout was friendly and efficient. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with bar service from 4pm; our only complaint was the overloud music from that hour. Given that we were the only guests at that time, enjoying the peace of the surroundings, our request that the music be turned off was declined by the young girl on duty. Not so smart!

Nice hotel, they could have a better menu for dinner at night. Very limited. Hotel room large but no point having seating area when the tv does not point in that direction. Tv is basic and only Spanish tv, no international or apps like netflix or apple etc on it, expected better for a 4 star hotel. No USB points in the room. The large shower heads needs cleaned as it's full of water mould. I expected few bottled water in the fridge and not charged €2 each. Also expected extra bed pillows as 1 is not enough. The swimming pool is very small and would be classed as a dipping pool than a swimming one. ||Is the hotel value for money? Yes, but it could be a far better one if more attention to detail was done as above

We stayed here for a fortnight and really can’t fault it. If you know it’s next to the Cathedral you must think there will be bells ringing so dont then complain about them. The staff were very helpful and our room was cleaned on a daily basis by very lovely housekeeping staff. The rooftop pool although small is an added bonus at the end of a hot day and the bar up there is very pleasant with views to the fortress. We were offered a change of room after a few days as we were there for so long but decided to remain in no 46 as it was such a huge lovely room. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Use the No 1 bus which goes round the old town if you want to get to the station where you can get buses to San Jose amongst other places. Overall a really good hotel.
