Excellent in every way. The room, an upgrade, was beautiful. All the staff were polite and respectful. Breakfast was varied and good value. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the locality. We found it quiet. We hope to return.

Very nice hotel situated in the cathedral square ...The room was nice and spacious and staff were friendly.....BUT ..the noise from the customers leaving the restaurant and terrace bar was too much and too late ...Just put a few signs up reminding them they're in a hotel with guests trying to sleep.

Well appointed hotel literally right next to the Cathedral. It's a short walk to the Alcazaba fortress. The rest of Almeria is a bit further away but there's a minibus stop nearby that takes you on a figure of eight route past most of the sights.|We had what was described as a junior suite room. It was an enormous room with a bed at one end and a lounge area with settee and two armchairs at the other. Breakfast was excellent and varied. There was a selection of cold cuts, bread and cakes, but you could also order any combination of bacon, sausage, egg and baked beans all freshly cooked. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, but found the meals too large and too salty for our elderly digestion. There were a few things advertised on their site that didn't actually materialise - which is why I've only given 4 blobs. There were supposed to be tea and coffee facilities, but all that was supplied was a coffee pod machine - and two pods. Fortunately, being thoroughly British, we tend to travel with our own kettle and supply of teabags. There were supposed to be bathrobes - but we could live without those. The TV was advertised as being smart - although the only extra it had was a Chromecast box plugged into one of the HDMI sockets. Despite these disappointments, we had an excellent stay.

We picked this Hotel as it looked very central to the historic centre of the city, and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely large, clean, and airy room, with a comfortable king size bed. The breakfast was good with lots of options and the Hotel also had a rooftop restaurant/bar and a plunge pool. We had a very memorable evening meal on the roof watching the sunset over the Moorish Alcazaba fortress.|The staff were helpful and friendly. The Casa Puga was recommended to us as an authentic tapas bar, and it was very well worth visiting! Get there early to avoid the crowds - it is very popular with the locals.|We highly recommend the Hotel, which has a prime location next to the wonderful Cathedral and is in easy walking distance of most of the historic sites and museums. We have nothing negative to say!

Beautiful location. Didn't stay in the hoyell but had an evening on roof terrace. Nice ambience. Gorgeous view of the cathedral. The only down side was extremely limited on drinks menu. Wecwill return this summer. Perfect fir a relaxing eve with friends or family

Once we maneuvered the near city streets we arrived to the front, there is a small area to stop a car for a few minutes, but parking was down the street. The was the only negative I could say. The staff was amazing, professional, friendly and helpful to us American travels not used to the local standards. We had the junior suite which was huge, and the bed was very comfortable. The whole hotel was very clean and the small pool and rooftop terrace was a nice touch. With the parking around the plaza they actually have a employee walk over to guide you and to let you into the secured underground parking garage. We were a little worried having the cathedral right outside our window but the windows are well soundproofed, and we barely heard any of the hourly bells. Even the internet was great. I can't say enough- this is a great place and well within walking distance to the castles, shopping, restaurants and even supermarkets.

This is a noisy hotel which is permeated by smoke. We asked for a quiet room and got a room on the second floor near a side street. There were people smoking and talking in the street right beneath the room continuously. The restaurant is open till 11 pm and there is near constant noise from people downstairs until it closes. The sound echoes up the staircase and is constant in the room. The cathedral bells also go off every 15 minutes till midnight. Additionally there is the constant smell of smoke as people leave the restaurant to smoke either out front or next to the rooms on the side street, so our balcony was not usable and there was the smell of smoke in our room. We also had to constantly walk through a sea of smoke to get in and out of the hotel. The room itself was good size but the bathroom is quirky. It’s oddly shaped and the shower is largely open, with the open portion right in front of the wash basin so it’s virtually impossible to shower without getting water on the basin, which is the only place for toiletries, so they will get wet. The restaurant takes up most of the first floor leaving a tiny lobby so, in addition to people constantly coming in and out while it’s open, there’s really no lobby to linger in or a real hotel first floor. Overall This felt more like a restaurant with a few rooms to stay in than a hotel with a restaurant.
