I visited the lobby with three tourists to check the archaeological site and have a drink and some snacks. I fully understand the need to screen visitors entering the hotel for security purposes, as it is private property. I acknowledge that I did not stop immediately when I was first asked about the purpose of my visit, and I accept that this may have been perceived as rude.
I was then asked to register. During this process, the attendant told me that my behavior was unacceptable. I apologized if my actions had been interpreted as disrespectful. However, despite my apology, my group was denied entry. I chose not to escalate the situation, so I thanked the attendant and left with my group.
Following this incident, I attempted to file a complaint by phone. One of the staff members involved, Mr. José Ramírez, who identified himself as the manager, hung up on me during the call. This behavior is highly concerning.
I understand and respect the need for strict security protocols. However, even with discipline, cooperation, and a demeanor that—according to both myself and my group—was not disrespectful, we were still denied entry, despite our clear intention to consume food and beverages on the premises. I find this treatment unacceptable and believe it warrants a formal review.
I kindly request that this incident be investigated and that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that guests and potential customers are treated with professionalism and respect.
